I'm bored so here's a new thread to organise our August meet-up

Uwila suggested
10 August or
24 August

I can do 24th

poor MrsBigD..... how would we manage if you were busy??!!! as you know can't make it. have a great weekend all

suejonez · 28/07/2006 17:38

I think 24th is Thursday of the bank holiday weekend? In which case I can't do it as am going away that evening. Think I can do 10th or 31st.

Also happy if everyone wants to come to me, we could get takeaway pizza from Pizza Express in Kew if no-one wants to bring anything and I'll make some salad.

Equally happy to eat out if you all prefer.

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 18:11

Even if and when busy at work I'll still make some time for the mn meet-up section

31st fine for me

will definately make it to the 31st meetup.....have told my boss abt missing last mn meetup due to departmental slackeness.....will play on the guilt and leave work at 5.00 pm on 31st!!

Uwila · 30/07/2006 13:01

Ok, 31st is good for me. And it's pay day.

MrsBigD · 30/07/2006 20:39

Are we aiming for 31st August then?

Venue? SJ very bravely has offered her pad the madness of it

its my last ditch attempt at single life - no child or DH to worry about! So can have wild parties at the drop of a hat! Happy to cook if preferred to pizza but will be a big pot of chili and another of something else with baked potatoes and salad. So start yelling your preferences now.

Still not offended if anyone feels more comfortable eating out (and no thats not me trying to get out of it, I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't prepared to offend the neighbours )

MrsBigD · 31/07/2006 09:53

might as well get the neighbours used to noise coming from your flat and chili = yummie

morning all. great stuff since i shall be back from hols so count me in pls for 31st. sue - your place sounds good if you don't mind! re food am easy.
ps: bless you MrsBigD!!!!

suejonez · 31/07/2006 13:58

If you are going to come back from holiday all relaxed and sparkly with a tan, you can forget it, you are disinvited!

Uwila · 31/07/2006 14:01

Disinvited? I think the word is uninvited. Be nice to nanou!

MrsBigD · 31/07/2006 14:13

or maybe it's a combination of disliked but still grudgingly invited?

OP posts:
suejonez · 31/07/2006 14:16

I'll be nice to her if she comes back from holiday all pale and drawn - will be v good at sympathy.

Shall use DISinvited if I like and DEtrained, am thinking of going to work for London underground as an announcer. Lets not talk about prononeseeashun or I shall go nucular (why DO americans say nucular not nuclear?)

CountessDracula · 31/07/2006 14:17

so sorry I couldn't make the other one did you have fun?

suejonez · 31/07/2006 14:19

I thought the funniest part of the evening was the waitress bringing Nanou the brown G&T. It was the only thing that silenced us all!

suejonez · 31/07/2006 14:20

I was so disappointed thatyou didn;t drink it Nanou - did we ever work out what it was?

Uwila · 31/07/2006 14:23

We missed you CD. I had to tell MrsBigD what a pinko is with my real live example.

Seriously, the travel was horrendous. You were probably wise to stay in.

Uwila · 31/07/2006 14:24

that without my real live example.

Uwila · 31/07/2006 15:23

Oh n o, I've killed the thread. I was just kiddding!

Nanou1 · 31/07/2006 15:28

OOYYY! if anything to go by my holiday in brittany, i always come back more exhausted than when i left so i would not worry Sue!!!!! i was thinking of that drink only yesterday and of the yellow lemon... don't know and not sure i want to know either! lol

CountessDracula · 31/07/2006 15:31

pmsl!

What was wrong with the trains?

Uwila · 31/07/2006 15:34

lightnig struck a tube train on the richmond line. so the line was shut down. Roads were flooded. It took two hours to get from the chiswick roundabout to Richmond via Isleworth.

CountessDracula · 31/07/2006 15:35

omg poor you

Nanou1 · 31/07/2006 15:53

i thought we all looked impressively calm tbh considering... would have been nice to meet you too Cdracula. are you scary with big teeth?!

MrsBigD · 31/07/2006 16:35

I second Nanou we did look impressively calm, though my first words getting near the restaurant after having spent the better part of 2 hours on a bus full of rather annoyed people, were... I need a drink
