But the really important thing is how the heck am I going to get from Kew to Sunbury without driving?????

suejonez · 01/08/2006 13:51

not a clue. train to Richmond then bus? Taxi? make the nanny come and pick you up? Stay here? (in my scruffy spare room)

Uwila · 01/08/2006 13:53

Make the nanny come pick me up? Oh you know so little about the things nannies do and don't do. Besides, my nanny doesn't drive here. So, she'd have to get on the bus just to ride it home with me.

Nanou1 · 01/08/2006 14:01

ROFL sj.... re nanny good suggestion but what about the kids????!!!!!! you have a new life ahead of you girl!!!!! ROFL enjoy your freedom because it will be over very soon and you won't know what's hit you . like can't just get up and go... that drink is still a mystery... shall we just go back there?! her english was not good and i'd love to know what she thought i was asking.... where on earth is sunbury btw??!!

MrsBigD · 01/08/2006 14:03

Bus to Kingston and then train to Sunbury?

OP posts:
Uwila · 01/08/2006 14:05

It is where the M3 becomes the 316. Just the other side of Hampton.

suejonez · 01/08/2006 14:23

No problem - stick the kids in the back of the car with a couple of sugar lumps to suck and a bottel of coke, they'll be as happy as Larry - no worries. Don't what you lot all moan about.

(Actually assumed Uwilas DH would be home)

OK plan B - make your DH come and pick you up.

YanksUponThames · 01/08/2006 14:23

Train between Sunbury & Richmond (via Teddington), OR bus to Kingston followed by straight train OR 65 bus, then 391 bus or Tube to Kew Gardens station. SJ's reasonable walk from there.

Nanou1 · 01/08/2006 14:38

was pulling your leg SG where is mrs recycle btw?

suejonez · 01/08/2006 14:48

Be careful Nanou - pulling my leg may result in one portion of VERY hot chili (thats a hot chili emoticon)

Nanou1 · 01/08/2006 14:51

Uwila · 01/08/2006 14:52

She has stared maternity leave, so presumably hasn't got as much time for Mn as she did when she was at work.

uwlia...He has no children yet an travels mainly to the west.looking for victorian house i think.

Uwila · 01/08/2006 15:56

So, is there a reason he is choosing Kingston? Single guy looking for a nice Victorian house... I'd probably look somewhere more like St Margarets (if I could afford it ).

Kingston is not bad. I prefer the norther part. Maybe Teddington or Twickenham (my person ambition is actually to move to Twickenham, but that cause my kid (hopefully both kids in a couple years) goes to school there.

MrsJohnCusack · 01/08/2006 16:04

I was going to come to this one but I don't think I'll be in West London any more by the 31st - not sure though as all our plans are falling down around our ears and I am currently doing a fab ostirch impression

IF I am still around then I would like to come.

MrsBigD · 01/08/2006 16:23

MrsJC Hope your plans don't fall through of course but the more the merrier

OP posts:
MrsJohnCusack · 01/08/2006 17:02

ha
well, have just booked our packing/shipping for the first available dates - 30/31st Aug - so I will be around and am sure will be v.ready to Get Out by that point

everything else may be falling to bits BUT house sale still appears to be going through ok and shipping booked, so that's something

always meant to come before and always chickened out. So I thought I'd leave until just before I leave the country - v.sensible - NOT

MrsBigD · 01/08/2006 17:44

where are you off to MrsJC?

OP posts:
MrsJohnCusack · 01/08/2006 19:37
