I'm bored so here's a new thread to organise our August meet-up

Uwila suggested
10 August or
24 August

I can do 24th

will there be any other newbies?

suejonez · 07/08/2006 13:31

Well I'm pretty new - so you could probably count me! I don;t know who else is coming so can't tell you if any other newbies will be there. They reasonably frendly and don't bite very hard (though watch out for Uwila she has a nasty left hook).

If you're nervous, come over and meet me for a coffee in M&S Kew one weekend.

quokka · 07/08/2006 13:37

Just think its quite brave for you to invite someone you don't know to your house, although it sounds like uwila would sort out any unwanted guests

Uwila · 07/08/2006 13:39

Watch it Sue!!!

Newbies welcome. :-)

MrsBigD is threatening to migrate to Oz (leaving us sniff sniff behind) so I'm sure you two will have plenty to talk about. (although you may have to sit under the table to talk to her if she arrives early to guzzle the booze ahead of the rest of us -- she's a lush you know)

suejonez · 07/08/2006 13:40

thats me - brave mad fool . oh, and my lovely next door neighbours have a man-eating rhodesian ridgeback so don't get any ideas about casing the joint...

Uwila · 07/08/2006 13:40

Oh, and I'm in the foreigner camp.

suejonez · 07/08/2006 13:40

Oh Uwila didn't see you there

Uwila · 07/08/2006 13:42

Man eating? Oh fab. Can I bring some guys from work. I always wondered how I could get them knocked off. It'll be just like when I was in schoold and some kid said his dog ate his homework. Only I'll get to say it about the office rif raff.

quokka · 07/08/2006 13:45

Hi uwila nice to meet you and no offence hey? whats a lush by the way?

suejonez · 07/08/2006 13:45

All men eagerly devoured in the JOnez household

suejonez · 07/08/2006 13:46

Lush = booze guzzler = MrsBigD

quokka · 07/08/2006 13:52

I kind of guessed by the name you were a foreigner where are you from uwila?

suejonez · 07/08/2006 13:53

Sunbury

quokka · 07/08/2006 13:56

i'm sure mrsbigd isn't the only lush by the sound of it!

Uwila · 07/08/2006 13:57

I'm American... but how does the name give it away?

MrsBigD · 07/08/2006 13:57

oy... not looking at the thread of 30 mins because for once I've got work to do and then it took me ages to catch up only to see I'm being slandered!

Welcome quokka, newbies always welcome and yes SJ is sort of British despite her sense of humour. What then again what would I know, I'm German, married to a Kiwi, planning to migrate to Oz 'hihihiihihi'.

I have you know I'm not a lush... well I would love to be one but I'm actually a cheap date... 2 glasses of wine and I'm happy

There should be plenty of Aussies around in Acton/Ealing area thanks to the Redback but then again they're probably not parenting material.

btw my dd is 4.5 and ds nearly 2.
