CD Uwila is going to be sooooo disappointed! Are you sure you're not just scared of her?

Hope your tooth gets better soon. I'm in 'the chair' tomorrow and dreading it because it's a root canal with 99% surety

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 10:13

thanks fatfox. quokka? is that ok with you? meeting at your place just before 7pm? CD so sorry you can't make it - i HATE tooth aches... how many of us then tonight? not sure about how much sour cream i need to get?

Uwila · 31/08/2006 10:31

It is I who is scared of CD!

Good luck with the root canal MrsBD. Mine was on the NHs about a month ago, and it was fine. She did manage to break off some of the tool in my tooth, but it doesn't seem to have harmed anything. Next stop porcelain crown... (when scrounge up some £300... yeouch).

PS Hope you are better soon, oh scary fanged friend of mine.

Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 10:45

and i was so looking forward to wearing my garlic necklace... uwila, is that with the help of a dental insurance or not? ie with hsa for example, you can claim some money back?

CountessDracula · 31/08/2006 10:46

I am so NOT scary

I promise!

Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 10:47

could any of you recommend a good acunpture / osteo guy / lady around ealing at all? suffered from what i think is a trapped nerve and it was hell. ta!

MrsBigD · 31/08/2006 10:55

hmmm used a guy once when I did my back in who was based in the pharmacy opposite Ealing Council Building. Did pressure point massage and worked miracles. Not sure whether he's still based there though.

Fatfox might know

OP posts:
fatfox · 31/08/2006 10:58

I love that pharmacy

The Pharmacist is really helpful and seems to be a font of all knowledge - he gave me some good advise on natural remidies when DD had thrush . Its definately worth asking in there.

Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 10:58

was he drop dead gorgeous too? always found it helped for faster recovery .

Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 10:59

2 references there - thanks. will check out on sat.

quokka · 31/08/2006 11:06

Nanou1 thats fine to come here, and yes my house is a mess as well! Bits of cotton thread everywhere as been making curtains. I will cat you my house number

Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 11:10

i got Quokka! but you can always give my our tel number. you clever lady re curtains. am intrigued and will have to have a look!!!!!! dont worry about mess

fatfox · 31/08/2006 11:11

Nanouu

Unfortunately not - unlike our children's entertainer (Ref: See Kew Gardens meet up thread)

MrsBigD · 31/08/2006 11:32

can second that the pharmacist in there is absolutely brilliant dd was on special prescription milk and he'd order it in even if I hadn't had the prescription yet but had run out And yes very knowledgable... trust him over GP!

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 11:44

This is priceless... thanks a million. i had a very nasty experience with a gp years ago so am very wary of gps generally. not fair on all the good ones out there but there we are...

suejonez · 31/08/2006 11:46

Fatfox - I have a similar work motto - A tidy desk is the sign of a sick mind. Will now use your house motto instead as is equally applicable.

Don;t think I need anything extra thanks Nanou, but apologies in advance to vegetarians as have never tried veggie chili efore and am trying own made up recipe for "roasted veg chili", haven't tried it yet so may be a bit hit and miss! Will buy pleanty of cheese so you can have jacket potato with cheese in an emergency.

Think CD is not coming because of my famous garlic bread (which is heavy on the garlic) - she can obviously smell it from Sheen and is using tooth excuse to avoid it

Uwila · 31/08/2006 12:13

What time does tonight's shindig start? Sorry, can't remember and can't be arsed to read through all the posts to find out. How's that for lazy?!

Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 12:15

7.30pm. for once i am not the one asking the questions!!!!!! lol you ok uwila?
