suejonez · 29/08/2006 22:16

I have emials from (and therefore given my address) to the following:

Mrs JC
Oxo (sorry that how I think of you)
Quoka
Uwila
Fatfox

Did I send you my address MrsBigD?

Who am I missing?

MrsBigD · 29/08/2006 22:40

SJ yes you sent me your address with agreement htat you'll take what I turn out from ds's wardrobe

Fatfox, hope you've got some space in your boot LOL then again need to carry it to Ealing so won't be all that much. I'll bring a selection and of course my wicked guacamole. Hope CD will not be fended off by it. It's nice and gooey though so can be slurped through straw for anybody with dental problems. I scheduled my dental for the day after the meet. Perfect timing

fatfox · 30/08/2006 07:53

MrsBigD - don't worry, its a six seater so you'll potentially have three seats to cover with bags full of clothes!!!

Nanou1 · 30/08/2006 09:10

morning ladies. sj- can't find your address so here is mine [email protected]. ta very much!
i shall bring sour cream & tortillas. anything else? are you far from kew station? and ... at what time do you want us?

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 09:33

fatfox don't worry won't be lugging THAT much. Still debating whether to bring my camera

So who wants badges?
I can do simple ones with the help of my laminator for those whose names I actually know i.e.
Uwila
SJ
Nanou (I think starts with an A doesn't it?)
Fatfox (do you use your full name or a shortend version? email me )

Probably forgotten and unimaginably insulted someone

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 10:20

Nanou1 I know exactly what you mean... I find not having much to do VERY counterproductive LOL

Luckily not a fang, it was my last molar on the top left. May get a bridge as i have a wisdom tooth next to it (though it is a bit of a fang, rather small and spikey as it didn't come through properly)

My mouth feels horrible and like I have a mile wide gap. It is all swollen and there is still gunge coming out where the infection was (yum)

I am feeling a very sad and codeine impaired vampire this morning

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 10:45

oh poor you CD... hope you feel up to joining us tomorrow! I recommend swishing your mouth with Vodka for medicinal purposes of course

OP posts:
Uwila · 30/08/2006 11:23

Oh, ouch. Or rather YUCK! Can you get an implant instead of a bridge. Bridges can be such a pain when it comes to keeping them clean.

We could make you some nice garlic mashed potatoes to make you feel better.

I really was looking forward to meeting you, so hope you can make it. But, if not oh well I'll just have to wait for the Christmas meet-up.

Uwila · 30/08/2006 11:26

And I had a lovely day in Kew on Saturday with Mr and Mrs Big D the photographers where they took many pictures of the kids. So, I would recommend she bring her camera to the meet uup. It might be fun to have some pics of the meet up. And, of course, we can help her build her portfolio.

Nanou1 · 30/08/2006 11:39

Good idea Uwila! also was thinking MrsBigD could test on our kids - she gets to train and we get nice photos for grandparents; and we can do the advertising for free and MrsBigD gets paid!!!!! everybody wins!

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 12:14

Me likey that idea Nanou1 but first you might want to wait to see whether Uwila likes the pics I took LOL

O.k. will bring camera tomorrow and a couple of badges for those I know.

OP posts:
MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 12:17

oh and I put a rushed new picture of 'me' up on my website as the 'photographer' also featuring dd as she's a budding one as Uwila probably can attest too as dd insisted on bringing her own camera to Kew

hi everyone sorry i have not been on for a while as i have been a little low, have a lovely time tomorrow night sorry i can not make it but jems been under the weather i hope to try and make it to the next when and meet all you lovely people your kind words when i first joined were a great help to me i think i may be beginning to suffer from depression again but am at the stage where im in denial to everyone around me have suffered depression on and off since i was sixteen but im having some problems at the moment with getting jems statement sorted out and as she is reaching the date to start school i feel like all of my support over the last 2 years is dissolving away sorry just feeling a bit low as i said
take care all

suejonez · 30/08/2006 15:57

well you're obviously not completely in denial Nutty becasue you have told us. Would you consider going back to GP now rather than leave it later. My limited experience of depression would suggest better to nip it in the bud than wait until its much worse.

nuttysquirrell · 30/08/2006 16:35

i know what you are saying but the truth is i do not know any of you and its easier to say certain things to people i do not know than to take off my mask of happiness that i wear all the time with
friends and family around me i will be thinking of going to the gp once my other child has gone back to school best to nip it in the bud as you say i have been on anti dep a few months ago but stopped taking them as they stopped me being in control of what im doing as and when jem wakes in the middle of the night with a bad nappy i cant take one hour to change her which is what was happening

suejonez · 30/08/2006 16:40

I understand what yo umean about it being easier sometimes to say things to strangers rather than your familiy. What I meant was that being in denial means that you are not admitting it to yourslef and if you can say it to us (even as strangers) then you must be admitting it to yourself.

If you found your last AD's too debilitating talk to your GP and get her either to reduce the dose or to switch you onto something else.

You don;t necessarily need to discuss this with your family if you don't want to of course, but why wouldn't you? Do they have a problem with the idea of depression, I know some people do.

quokka · 30/08/2006 16:48

Sounds like your reaching out for help, go to your GP and discuss it with them, sooner better than later as sj says. Take care

Nanou1 · 30/08/2006 16:54

NS... you seem to be on the track of recovery already talking about it, even with strangers . go and see your gp as soon as you can. please??!! or even better, come and join us tomorrow night. a lot of us will meet for the first time; i can't guarantee any type of therapy apart from a good laugh. always does me a world of good and i am really looking forward to meet quokka for example and see sj again - hugs to you and if not tomorrow then next time eh?!

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 16:58

nuttysquirrel... as sj pointed out obviously not in total denial as you've told us . Please go and see your GP again. As for stopping the AD's because you couldn't get it together at night... maybe try other ones? I was on Seroxat and it worked wonders for my sanity. Thoguh I know that not everybody reacts the same to various meds. How about trying and drag yourself out to meet with us tomorrow? Trust me you won't be the only nutter
