yea you can come and I could tell you stories like every nappy I've changed today has had the most horrid sticky smelly poo, and since I use real bloody nappies I have to handle it!

Actually I'm hoping I can talk about other things not sure what, but once I get started you wont be able to stop me

suejonez · 30/08/2006 17:03

Quokka - we can talk about adoptions all night - it's my only topic at the moment

quokka · 30/08/2006 17:09

what you don't wont to talk poo, how disappointing! Right must feed children.

Go to your gp NS you know its the right thing to do . I'm an aussie and quite direct so don't take offence.

quokka · 30/08/2006 17:21

I had to come back to say that my ds 2yrs is picking and eating basil out of the pot but wont eat his spaghetti bol, is that normal?

Uwila · 30/08/2006 17:57

Or you can come out with us and get rip roaring drunk. Then you'll be so "ill" in the morning you'll forget all about being depressed.

Okay, so maybe that's not a good idead.

suejonez · 30/08/2006 19:44

Apologies in advance ladies my cleaners mum was supposed to be covering her whilst she was on holiday but hapsn;t turned up today. No time to clean now, so bring your rose-tinted spectacles with you.

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 19:48

won't need rose tinted... I just take my glasses off

quokka · 30/08/2006 20:04

SJ wait until you get the little nipper, your haouse will never be the same again

NS you have gone all quiet, hope your ok

xoxoxo · 30/08/2006 20:04

hi, just catching up.
For me, if a house is clean and tidy then I'm deeply suspicious/ neurotic.
Give me mess. Walked in spag bol. Spilt ribena. Peas under the sofa. Otherwise I'm on edge!
xoxoxo (i.e. kiss, hug, kiss, hug, kiss, hug - not oxo cube!!)

quokka · 30/08/2006 20:07

chicken or veggie?

xoxoxo · 30/08/2006 20:14

oh god: meat, meat, meat! Dead animals please.

quokka · 30/08/2006 20:20

your a veggie aren't you

xoxoxo · 30/08/2006 20:26

I used to be for 5 years - then I had a bacon sandwich and all hell broke loose.
Now lambs run from me in the street, cow cower in field and chicken run for the hills.

quokka · 30/08/2006 20:30

I know what you mean. It didn't bother me much when I watched gordan ramsay kill trinny and susanna

quokka · 30/08/2006 20:34

I just reread that and it scared me! I have a great respect for animals especially when cooked with tender loving care. Apologies to all the veggies!

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 20:41

hehehehe veggies are a good side dish .

db is a vegetarian and I have to say... I HATE him... he's skinny . On the other hand when I stayed with him he cooks the most imaginative dishes with aubergine and tofu! I better stop now I'm getting hungry

And SJ have to second the 'once your little nipper is there forget about having a tidy house' and the 'if it's tidy despite kids around the house something's definitely askew'... like my neighbour... 2 kids, same ages as mine, and even if I drop in unannounced due to dd knocking on her door the place is spotless!!! I'm very suspicious there!

bumpmakestwo · 30/08/2006 21:27

Ohhh I am ious of you chaps living it large tomorrow night!!! I hope its not going to be 'what goes on in these four walls, stays within these four walls' senario, as I want and need gossip. So will check in on Friday and expect some juicy stuff girls!!

MrsBigD · 30/08/2006 22:29

don't worry bumpmakestwo... there'll be paparazzi present... me and my camera LOL

hi everyone sorry for melancholy yesterday after a goodnights sleep and jem waking this morning feeling better and i am to, quokka sorry could not talk of poo yesterday as was upto my eyes init problem is with jems hd she can have upto 7 nappies in an hour and as you can imagine pretty exhausting yesterday was one of those days and of course with frequent change comes bad nappy rash, although i think with her metanium have mangaged to stop it getting to the stage where the drs have to intervene thank goodness. some days are just worse than others can not make it tonight but would love to meet you all on the next one you lot sound like a lot of fun and would be fantastic to meet you
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx thanks for kind words and push in the right direction take care all and have a great evening xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

quokka · 31/08/2006 08:35

Your circumstances are extreme and you have alot to deal with, its no wonder it gets you down. I struggle with my 2 ds but they are healthy! Just don't let it get out of control . Its amazing what a good night sleep does, keep your head up. Look forward to meeting you one day, you sound amazing

fatfox · 31/08/2006 09:08

Hi everyone

Nuttysquirral - we're always here if you need us -don't forget that. Families can be impossible to talk to sometimes, but we are your virual mates, so don't hesitate and I hope to meet you at the next meet

Suejonez I have blueberries now, so no-one need get them later and you are a real start for hosting it tonight . My motto is "an immaculate house is the sign of a wasted life".

MrsBigD and Quokka - you may glimpse our house tonight on the way down - a word of warning, it is a model of slumminess, so don't be shocked. I usually do a big tidy once a week, but since I've been PG can't be arsed. You have been warned

Paddle - I'm still up for Friday at Pembroke LOdge - are you still on, Miss Oxo?

Countess, I'm so sorry to hear about your tooth, you poor thing, it sounds sawful. I think you seriously need some alcohol to numb the pain. Hope you manage to crawl down later.

Ladies I think we need some gorundrules for tonight:

No 1: If you don't turn up, we can talk about you

any other suggestions?

Nanou1 · 31/08/2006 09:14

hi all! NS - so glad you are feeling better today and shame you can't make it tonight. ditto for all of you who can;t make it; next time eh?! quokka - how are you getting there? shall we meet and go together as we are so close? SJ- dont worry about the cleaner not showing up it's not why tonight is about and we'll probably trash your place anyway . any last minute requests re bits for tonight? am close to M&S in marble arch and getting my stuff at lunchtime so let me know. have a good day all and looking forward to tonight. x

xoxoxo · 31/08/2006 09:15

other rules:
the food was always stunning, the wine flowing and the repartee witty and eloquent (absentees will never know unless the turn up).
I say this with the cocky assurance of the promise of an early return from dh, so therefore a pass to play. may still all go t.up.

am up for pembroke lodge tmrw , unless chucking down. in which case maybe hugos in richmond? when oh when will the lollypop club open again?
