Ronniebaby - good to hear you are on to.

I will cancel Planet Happy tomorrow.

Jagienka · 28/03/2004 21:33

We'll try to come, as far as I understand there's no booking so I don't have to be more definate? It's quite a walk for us from Marehay so I'll see how it'll turn out on the day.

Hulababy · 28/03/2004 21:41

No problems Jagienka. Hope you can make it though

WedgiesMum · 28/03/2004 21:49

Honestly - I go away for the weekend and it all changes!!!!! Tch!!!!!

I know where this is!!!! WOW!! I'm quite impressed as I can be a bit feckless about things like finding places. This sounds absolutely fine to me and we are definitely coming. Looking forward to it and to seeing you all!

(And have to say that two lots of £2 is much more appealing than two lots of £6.95!!!!)

Mingle · 28/03/2004 22:02

Yes, me and ds can still come, not sure whether to bring dd or leave her to have a day with daddy. She gets a bit whingy on long car journeys.

I keep losing track of where we are going so if I don't turn up, I will be driving around Ripley looking lost somewhere!

fairydust · 31/03/2004 16:12

just thought i'd bump this up a little

Hulababy · 31/03/2004 20:21

That's great.

Is anyone free tomorrow to make a phone call and cancel the party at the soft play? It's in Jan's name and the number is on here: 01773 748600 Party was at 2pm. I would do but have full day of teaching tomorrow so won't be able to - nightmare week and I forgot on Monday I'd be reallt grateful.

WedgiesMum · 31/03/2004 21:04

I'll do it Hula

Hulababy · 31/03/2004 21:05

Cheers WM - you're a star!

BTW, just e-mailed you with directions for Sunday - I hope!!!

WedgiesMum · 01/04/2004 13:23

Done it

Hulababy · 01/04/2004 19:50

Excellent - thanks WM! Hope they were okay about it. Sounds like they get busy anyway so probably not too bad for them anyway.

So, all on for the Brewyer's Fayre then. Must go and find out how to get there now. Really wish my new car had sat nav

WedgiesMum · 02/04/2004 10:19

They were fine - but it took them ages to find our booking!!!!

The other place is easy to find, it really is just off the A38 and really close to the Police HQ on the road into Ripley. (I think the exit off the A38 you need is the one after the main Alfreton turning where the Services are). WMxx

Helsbels · 02/04/2004 10:44

been off for a while and now really confused - are we going to Brewsters at Butterley on Thursday the 8th at 10.45? Are we eating? are the kids eating?!! I am a bit slow at the moment due to excessive pg hormones!!

Hulababy · 02/04/2004 11:30

THa's right Helsbels. Sp to recap for everyone:

Brewer's Fayre
10:45am - meet in car park ready for doors to open
£2.00 a child

I think me and DD will definitely be staying for something to eat afterwards. By the time they have finished playing and a meal is orderd, etc. it'll be well within her dinner time (and it'll take about 45 minutes to get I reckon so can't wait that long).

Anyone staying for food?

FD's instructions were:
Brewers Fayre, The Butterly Park Industrial Estate, Butterly Park,
Nottingham Road, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 3QW

You need to come off the A38 were the sign for ripley and then follow the signs for police headquarters

Helsbels · 02/04/2004 11:32

excellent - there is a (swear word!!) MacDonalds next door too..........

Helsbels · 02/04/2004 11:34

also if you come off the a38, you actually follow the signs for Codnor and police headquearters, the Ripley signs will take you to the town centre which is the wrong way

Hulababy · 02/04/2004 11:34

We can see what every one fancies then. Although DD hasn't got into MacD's yet (she doesn't appear to like chips!!!) I am sure she'll have a go. TBH she would probably eat whatever WM's DD is eaing anyway - she likes copying big girls

Hulababy · 02/04/2004 11:35

Thank you Helsbels. I was sat nav - then I might not get quite as lost each time!

Right I have WM's mobile number so if I get lost or caught in traffic I will phone her. Hopefully she won't get lost!

Helsbels · 02/04/2004 11:41

yes - if you are stuck you can call me (e-mail for number)it is right next door to ds's nursery so I go there quite a lot If your dd doesn't like the chips - I'll sit next to her ......... wouldn't like to see her struggle - the food at Butterley is ok though, went there last week for a birthday party. Where are you coming from?

WedgiesMum · 02/04/2004 11:43

Funnily enough DS never used to eat chips until DD came along! Now he'll even eat chicken if he has to as well........ (any body else had chewed up chicken spat at them in McD's????? ) We'll definitely be staying for lunch, I mean we've only arranged 2 other trips to McD's next week after all...... ( )

We shouldn't get lost (ho ho ho ho ho - depends if we have screaming in the car and I get all flustered and miss the turning and end up shouting bcks bcks b**cks like when I went to Sundowners. DS and DD never repeated the work, friends DS did though , and has continued to do so for months - ooooops!)
