Finally got round to checking on this thread. I just need to check with dh in case he is going into work early, but should be able to make 12 no problem. Will only be me and ds as dd will be asleep.

Mingle · 23/03/2004 23:45

Am definately going to bed now, blow the washing up

fairydust · 24/03/2004 14:06

Hulababy · 24/03/2004 14:08

WedgiesMum · 24/03/2004 14:51

fairydust · 24/03/2004 14:58

hula when you phone -check to see if we have to pay for a certain amount of children wether they turn up or not

fairydust · 24/03/2004 14:58

hula- thnaks for doing all this...

Mingle · 24/03/2004 23:22

Have checked with dh, it is definately okay for me and ds to come. Thanks for organising this Hula, do I need to pay you in advance?

Hulababy · 25/03/2004 08:59

No idea yet Mingle. Will phone tomorrow on day off.

Hulababy · 26/03/2004 11:16

Easy - are you and DS still in?

So, about to phone today. Check details first:

8th April, 12.30-2pm
£6.95 a child, including play, sandwiches, ice cream, snacks, balloon and party pag.

On the list so far confirmed I have:

Me and DD (age 2)
FD and DD (age 2)
WM and DD (age 2) and DS (age 4)
RB and DS (age 3 or 4?)
Mingle and DS (age 3)
Easy and DS?

So that is 6-7 children? Wonder if they can still do a party for these numbers? Will check.

Hulababy · 26/03/2004 11:24

Right phoned. Lady was nice!

I have confirmed the booking for 7 children now (includes Easy). Can include more if necessary after.

We will have to pay a deposit of £20 for the party as soon as we can. Now I don't mind paying this out so long as I have guarantees that you won't all desert me - rememebr DH is a lawyer

So, are we definetly on?

WedgiesMum · 26/03/2004 12:59

Yes - Go for it!!!!

Hulababy · 26/03/2004 16:50

Everyone? Please confirm asap if you can. Don't want to fork out this £20 all on my own if I haven't got definites - not rich And I have to pay for train ticket to go and see Popsy in Newcastle over Easter - can't afford to lose this money!!!

Only joking - I really don't mind sending the cheque but would like to just double check!

Hulababy · 26/03/2004 19:27

Bump

fairydust · 26/03/2004 22:05

Hula i am 90% sure we'll be comming obviously if dd has a bad turn then things will be different but fingars crossed well be there as i'm really looking forward to this.

Do you know which section the party is in???

Hulababy · 26/03/2004 22:24

Darn, knew I had forgotton something. I will try and phone up and ask again but can't until Monday. Unless you want to - booked in Jan's name.

Not sure what happens regarding money if no shows. I suspect we still have to pay. What do you want me to do everyone?

fairydust · 27/03/2004 07:56

It's a hard one hula - as if a few people don't turn up it's going to be expensive for the ones that do

I odn't know what to say to do.

Hulababy · 27/03/2004 08:53

To be honest I am not prepared to pay more than my fair share if people don't turn up - harsh maybe. I am quite happy to pay out £6.95 for DD, but not to pay out for others who don't show - I just don't really have the spare cash as have other plans for Easter holidays as well. Trouble is I suspect I need an answer pretty soon from everyone so that I can decide what to do - spend deposit or just cancel the whole thing.

So, can everyone please simply confirm what they wish to do ASAP please. I would really need to be able to make a decision some time on Monday. Can't spend ages sorting it as have this interview on Tuesday to concentrate on

fairydust · 27/03/2004 09:26

i could ring brewsters up they have a restaurant and a child plyay area not the biggest place but at least we wouldn't have to pay if no one turns up - it's only 5mins from the A38??????????

Hulababy · 27/03/2004 09:29

That may be better FD! Could you do that and post details?

I was inthe shower earlier thinking it may be easier to not have the whole booking in advance bit. TBH I am perfectly happy to do the 9:30am bit if necessary now.

I am out most of day but will try and check in tonight.

fairydust · 27/03/2004 09:33

no probs will let u know laters

Ronniebaby · 27/03/2004 15:21

Hiya Ladies

Not been able to get on, as NTL were having problems.

Right, DS is 3&half.

I really don't mind where we go, (obviously within reason) but I aint getting anywhere for 9.30am, harsh but fair. So if it's about 10-10.30 ish, fine count me in , but before 10ish, count me out.

Can we clarify what is actually happening, and where we are actually meeting.

FD - Can you please post an address for the Brewsters place, as off the A38 doesn't really help me, (its a long road)

Hula, I'm with you on the payment front, I would only want to pay for DS, and would object to paying for someone who said they were coming and didn't turn up, (circumstances pending obviously)

I'll check this thread again on Sunday to see what's occuring

Right spoke to a lovely bloke and explained our sitution.

Butterly park don't do booking it's a first come first served kinda place they have a medium sized fun factory which is £2.00 a child which is in a seperate room from the bar / restaurant but there are tables n chairs for adults and it has a ball pond slide arcade games soft playbit etc

You can buy drinks from the bar which are proved in plastic cups to take into the fun factory.

I thought if we meet at say 10.45 in the carpark at least we'd be first there ready for doors open. then those that want to stop and have lunch after can.

Jagienka - it's next to sainsburys and is only 5mins walk from town centre or you can catch the rainbow 1 bus.

So what does everyone think???????????????

Brewers Fayre, The Butterly Park Industrial Estate, Butterly Park,
Nottingham Road, Ripley, Derbyshire, DE5 3QW

You need to come off the A38 were the sign for ripley and then follow the signs for police headquarters /

Easy · 27/03/2004 19:47

Um, didn't I suggest brewsters a while ago, but got turned down?

Anyway, We want to come, wherever it is, cos we are sociable and look forward to meeting up with everyone.

Just let me know and my darling ds and I will be there and the offer of a lift still stands if anyone needs one.

fairydust · 27/03/2004 23:31

yes brewsters was mentioned before and although it's not that big i think it's the best option all round.
