I can actually do 9.30 - does anyone other than me have children who get up at 7am But saying that I can smugly confirm we can be ready to go out of the house, breakfasted and everybody dressed by 8.30.

Is there any market for a different venue? There is a soft play area in Clay Cross near me called Chuckles (Hula has been with me before) which doesn't open until 10. It's not much further to go on the A38/A61 from Ripley?? I could always do apick up for one adult with one child?? It has lots of stuff to do, doesn't get horrendously busy until after lunch in holidays and although the cafe is basic I can highly recommend the cheese toasties and chips Just a thought....

do you have the address WedgiesMum

Hulababy · 07/03/2004 20:48

Chuckles was good. But may be just that bit too far for those coming from south of Derby???

Makes no difference to me what time it is. DD is up same time every day, holiday or no holiday! 7am on the dot every day. Hey, I could even do 8:30am if required!!!

Address is Bridge Street, Clay Cross. It's not hard to find, but if we decide on it then I can post excellent directions

I know it's a bit further for people like Jan and Ronnie, but we can always extedn the day and come over to mine afterwards (no I am not mad just have toy room and garden and DON'T CARE if house is turned into war zone!!!!! Will not be much change from usual )

That's very generous to open up your house WM!!! I have been before everyone and there are so many toys in tht toy room. I think DD thought she was in a toy shop

Got to get off line soon, but see you tomorrow afternoon WM.

Planet Happy is a fantastc place but it's a place we try to avoid in the holidays as it's not that big (that's the reason we go) and it gets very very busy quickly.

It's horrible if you have to stand n wait as thekids can see all the others playing so they get very upset because they want to play

Where is Chuckles???

If Chuckles doesn't get packed so easily, then I can do travel, depending on location, as I have to get Janhr first.

Is there anywhere else, we can go up Derny way??

It's in Clay Cross Ronnie. If you keep on the A38 until Alfreton, then take the A61 towards Chesterfield you hit Clay Cross in less than 10 mins.

Oh Chesterfield, I thought you were gonna tell me it's Leeds or something.

Blimey Chesterfield aint that far. Janhr will go where I take her, but if we do Chesterfield, it will definitely have to be at least a 10.30 start.

Leave it open to the majority.

I can do Chesterfield too but what about those coming by train or don't have cars?

I can do a pick up at Chesterfield station. I can even borrow my MILs car seat (suitable for 9months to 4 years ish). I know some people may be wary of taking a lift though so understand that completely too.

I won't be able to come after all as we are going away to SIL on the 8th. Have a nice time though ladies. Think of me freezing by the seaside.

I haven't got (british) driving license yet so I guess that if I leave Poppyfields/Ripley at 5am I might reach Chesterfield on time no but honestly I can only walk so for me it's only anywhere in walking distance.
Does anybody go to the Springers Mums and Tots meetings on Mondays @ Springs of Living Water?

Just a thought but is there no way we can book the Ripley one - maybe say we are having a birthday party for example? It is DD's birthday that week so not completely untrue? And how much would that cost?

Report
Ronniebaby · 12/03/2004 20:57

Hula - Janhr spoke to them, if it's not too expensive I've pay for my DS, as your DD party etc

Haven't been on Mumsnet for a few days but I can still come if it is at Ripley. Dh went today and said that it didn't take that long so no problem with me.

Report
Ronniebaby · 14/03/2004 17:37

Hula - ask Janhr.

Mingle, glad you can still come (hopefully).

I'll do Ripley or Chesterfield, not a problem, but not for 9.30am
