FD Don;t believe her, she horrid, , only kidding HUla, luv ya really, How DS anyhow, looking gorgeous as ever.

FD I'm with Hula, my dh, doesn't care as long as I look after me and DS, and he thinks it great I'm making new friends, and so is DH.
I know Janhr very well, and I meet her here, and I know now if I needed help or a shoulder, Janhr, Hula & WedgiesMum would be there in a flash, and they know the same goes for me.

We are in a very public place, and we all have the same thoughts as you, Oh my god wht if they are crazy lunatics, but at the end of the day we are all Mothers, who will stop at nothing to protect our children, and I for one would never risk my child. Come along, you and yours will be well looked after, if necessary bring a chaperone, anyone, you other half if necess, we chat, kids play, we drink, eat, LAUGH, and go home feeling great we have just made a new friend.

COME ON FD, join the Derby club.

I'm feeling v v sad now as I can't come

As is DS's first ever half term and we haven't seen his Nannie in Cumbria since Christmas have made the hard decision to go there for a few days, so can't come. And there's loads of newbies to the Derby club that sound fab to meet BOO HOO.

Whilst you're there can you arrange a date for the first week of the Easter hols and then I can definitely come with both monkies in tow???

Everyone seems to have more suspicious DH's than me though....Mine was quite happy to send me off to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Markeaton Park wihtout asking about how safe it was. Hmmm now starting to feel left out....

Seriously though FD can vouch for Hula, Ronnie, and Jan, and if you take a look at earlier meet up threads for Markeaton Park you'll see that we've been doing this for a while. And if you and Hula meet up on a Fri then come and see me for lunch, I work at Sheffield Hallam University and we sometimes meet up with her DD. Know if I needed one of them they'd help all they could!

Roll on the warmer weather so we can play golf again eh Ronnie????? DS still no better at losing though.....tch!

Wedgiesmum. Come and see me with your DD anyway in Sheffield soon. FD, you are very welcome to come to Sheffield anytime too.

We will have to get something sorted for that week at Easter too. Can't do the Monday though as it is DD's birthday and we are going to the zoo.

Hulababy · 24/01/2004 21:40

Mine start the week where the Monday is the 5th April - for two weeks. Easter will be the middle weekend so the first Friday is Good Friday.

Report
JanHR · 24/01/2004 21:46

I could probably do the week beginning 5th. I normally go to mums for easter, then we are away in Devon 15th-18th.

Have come back here to duck after ranting on the Chat thread about 'marriage on the rocks' got a bit het up when I read it and dived in before I could stop myself. Don't usually get involved in those kind of threads, but something came over me.....

That's our Easter holidays too, and sometime in that first week would be great as I've taken the week off. Which zoo are you going to Hula?? Twycross?? (Or the 'more monkeys' zoo as we call it, DS aged 2 on his first visit just went mad for monkeys and was running round like a loony shouting 'more monkeys, more monkeys'.

Will email you in a minute with a suggestion for a date in Sheffield.

WMxx

Easter Hols are fine, except I can again only do Thursdays as I work the rest of the week, and DS won't be in pre-school then.

Shame you can't come WM, DS will miss your DS, always ranting on about golf in the park, and yes WM, my DS is still crap

WM you will be sadly missed, and my DH really doesn't care whether I meet new people etc, as long as I'm not meeting any new blokes No chance on here then

FD, oh go on come along, you'll be well looked after and you'll have fun

Hulababy · 25/01/2004 18:56

Not sure which zoo WM. Possible Chester or Twycross. Most like Twycross as not been there before and closer. Would have loved to do one of the safari parks but not with our car!!!

So, it looks like best days at Easter are either Tuesday 6th or Wednesday 7th then?

Report
WedgiesMum · 25/01/2004 20:07

Tuesday is the best day for Ronnie isn't it??

Either is good for me though......

Still sad about not coming

Report
Hulababy · 25/01/2004 20:12

Either is fine for me too.

Report
Ronniebaby · 25/01/2004 20:39

Sorry ladies count me out, Thursdays are the only days I can actually do.

Report
Hulababy · 25/01/2004 20:40

Sorry - I misread your message Ronniebaby. Thursday is absolutely no problem for me at all!

Report
WedgiesMum · 25/01/2004 20:50

Thursday OK here too, and for God's sake can you keep me away from that thread on chat that I was ranting on last night, I feel another rant coming on......

ps where should we go at Easter???

Report
Hulababy · 25/01/2004 20:51

Don't mind although does depend on what the weather is likely to be like. Maybe we should just come up with a date and then sort the location out nearer the time?

Report
Ronniebaby · 25/01/2004 20:53

WM, I read you rant, but I also read her thread, she is making excuses for him, you also need MSN or yahoo, chatting on them would be good for us too.

WM also in the bar in chat, join us in there.

Thursdays are ok for me, I'm open to ideas.
