Sorry Popsy - meant my sister!!!

FD - I think I'd possinly be driving pretty close by you. If you have a car seatI could maybe pick you up (from somewhere in Ripley if you prefer to keep your address secret). Actually my MIL has a car seat I could use even if ou don't have one. Your little one is close in age to my DD?

JanHR · 09/01/2004 21:53

Outdoors I'm afraid.

Hulababy · 09/01/2004 21:59

fairydust · 09/01/2004 22:01

i do have a carseat hula thanks - will look into things this weekend and let u know

thanks for the offer

the a38 is literally 5mins from my house -

Hulababy · 09/01/2004 22:05

Looked on Multimap and realised that. I thought I had heard of it. Think I passed signs going to work in the past. I used to work in Duffield.

fairydust · 09/01/2004 22:07

yep that's near belper

Hulababy · 09/01/2004 22:13

I have driven through Belper a few times when using the 'alternative' way home. Some of the children came from there. Never been to Ripley but most of the other places around that area are nice. Duffield was a lovely place. I miss that school New one no where near the same.

fairydust · 09/01/2004 22:16

were abouts in sheffield r u?

fairydust · 10/01/2004 09:42

after giving this some thought last night - have decided thart a outdoor playarea isn't suitable for dd -

With her cp she can't walk only crawl and wouldn't be able to do that outside so would be stuck in her buggy which after a while would start screaming because she can see the others running about.

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 10:22

Yes, I understand that. What type of place would be more suitable FD? I am more than happy to fit is round you. DD is happy so long as she is around other children It would be a real shame if you two can't join in.

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 11:44

FD - near me (next to Meadowhall) there is a biggish soft play area. There is a big area with big soft blocks, padded areas, a tunnel to crawl through, sit on toys to ride, etc. Would something like this be more suitable? The soft play area I normal;ly go to wouldn't as it is too crowded. This one I went to a few weeks back and during the day it is really quiet - there were about 3 childred in!

I know this is suitable for a Derby meet but maybe there is something in Derby like this? TBH, I am a but concerned anyway that planning a trip to an outside area in February may be a bit adventerous, likely to rain and be cold for all of us.

BTW, FD if you ever fancy the above one and can get to Sheffield train or bus station I'd be happy to pick you up and go along too. And anyone else who fancies coming obviously...

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 11:44

I meant 'isn't suitable for a Derby meet'.

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 11:52

There are some soft play areas on \linkHere are some www.yell.co.uk/search/DoSearch?state=INI&screen=VAL&targetName=&businessType=Adventure+%26+Activity+Centres+-+Children%27s&companyName=&location=derbyshire&Submit.x=0&Submit.y=0\here{}. No idea what they are like but we could call to find out.

One has a here . No rpices though.

fairydust · 10/01/2004 16:14

any indoor playarea would be super - as dd can get down and crawl which keeps her happy.

JanHR · 10/01/2004 20:31

I have emailed bumpi's for prices but I will try and call tomorrow as well.

Thanks Jan.

If you ever fancy a trip to Sheffield's one any time FD let me know. DD loves them.

fairydust · 10/01/2004 21:28

hula -thant sounds good is there one in the centre of sheffield

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 21:31

Not right in the centre. It is near to Meadowhall but you need a car to get to it. If you fancy it sometime let me know and I could pick you from the station (train or bus). The other one I go to wouldn't be much good as there isn't much room for crawling.

fairydust · 10/01/2004 21:33

nice one - i'd catch the train to sheffield as i know my way better from the trian station

Hulababy · 11/01/2004 10:00

Brilliant. Any time you fancy it let me know. I don't work Monday and Fridays and I am free all week during half terms, etc. The cost is reduced for under 5s during term time though. And there is quite a nice little cafe for drinks and a bite to eat. DD adores the soft play things and just loves being with other children.

Hulababy · 12/01/2004 08:33

FD - you can e-mail me at home when ever you are interested:
