So watch out here comes destruction jambutties ds2 is around

prettybird · 27/02/2006 09:27

I'm happy to come across the Edinburgh. Ds loves the train journey - and I even get a chance to read a magazine, as he normally zonks out on the way home! :)

mawbroon · 27/02/2006 09:50

I should be able to make this too.

MBSmile

jambuttie · 03/03/2006 13:36

gomez · 03/03/2006 13:38

I will throw my name in the hat again and hope that DH doesn't p** off with work or any of the DDs take to their bed and of course we agree where about in the Museum we are meeting Smile.

schneebly · 03/03/2006 13:39

possibly...

2Happy · 03/03/2006 13:57

Um, maybe. A bit scared...

1980cat · 03/03/2006 14:08

If it's a weekend I'd love to could come. Any excuse for a shopping trip in Edinburgh.

ja9 · 03/03/2006 14:08

date depending...

purplemonkeydishwasher · 03/03/2006 14:10

would prefer during the week...

jambuttie · 03/03/2006 15:45

weekends suit me best due to work midweek

nailpolish · 03/03/2006 15:48

hi

im not coming Blush edinburgh is just too far for me but i just wanted to add that at the moment at the royal museum is the creepy crawly display - ginormous beasties - and apparently a huge hit with small children. have a great time xxx

really wish i could come Sad

Loobie · 03/03/2006 16:25

Theres also a big new part just been re-opened with lots of interactive displays the kids will love!!
Any newbies dont worry we wont bite honest!!!
Gomez we will set up a code of meeting Grinwe did this in glasgow and it worked really well, pretty bird bought a ballon which she put innocently on the table then we all knew where to go,ingenius idea!!
Anyone any ideas on dates/days??
Jambuttie and i cant make the weekend 19th may to 22nd cause we're going on holiday together with all the kids, but outside that id prefer weekends then id have the kids with me,no point visiting a huge museum like that wiothout them LOL

prettybird · 08/03/2006 11:02

Anybody got any suggestiones for dates?

Saturdays are now better for me, as ds has rugby on a SUnday. But I can always give him the choice about whether he wants to come (rugby is not compulosry! Wink) - and I could even (shock, horror Shock) come along on my own, and leave dh tot take ds to the rugby.

Suspect ds would opt for the train journey and forego the rugby, if it came to a choice!

jambuttie · 08/03/2006 21:55

was thinking about this too.

weekends are much better for me also

Twiga · 13/03/2006 16:20

Would love to try and make this one after missing the last one at the last min - weekends are best for me as still a little nervous about train journey with dd, and dh would be more than happy to come with us or drive us (I don't drive) - not sure if he would brave lunch though.

prettybird · 13/03/2006 17:01

OK then - in the absence of anyone else suggesting a date, how about Saturday 22nd April.

After the Spring break and easter, so anyone who is going away should be back.

After the last few bing Glasgow, make it edinburgh and the royal museum, as Loobie suggested (see orginal post) - just need to confirm which cafe! Wink

The creepy crawlies exhibition will still be on as well.

Anyway - there's a date - it's up to the resot of you to either agree or come up with another date! Grin

gscrym · 13/03/2006 17:05

Woo-Hoo, I'm off that weekend. If ds is okay (he had the lurgy for the last one), I should be able to make it. If another date suits, I may be able to make that one too. Usually weekdays suit me better but wil have a shopping trip out of this one too.

gomez · 13/03/2006 17:07

Done! 22nd April it is then.

(Hopefully) see you all there....

prettybird · 13/03/2006 17:09

Woo hoo - Gomez and gscrym - two of the Scottish mumsnetters that I've somehow always managed to miss meeting!! :)

Twiga · 13/03/2006 22:23

At the moment 22nd april would be ok for me, don't have anything going on and can't think of anything that may crop up - count me in just now.

ja9 · 13/03/2006 22:46

i'll pencil it in too...

i must be v privileged cos i've met gomez and gscrym Wink

prettybird · 15/03/2006 08:51
