My dh is looking forward to an afternoon DIYing in the house without interruption!

I'll be there with ds (5).

35Mum · 18/04/2006 15:58

Thanks prettybird. Unfortunately something unexpected came up and I am so sorry to say I wont be able to make it, grrr...

Anyway, i hope you will all have a lovely day out and i hope in the future there'll be another chance for me to meet up other scottish moms Wink

cheers.

Twiga · 19/04/2006 18:04

We're still up for coming - dd has been down with this horrible d & v bug over the last week so hoping she'll continue to pick up over the next couple of days - is mainly tired and still a bit sicky. Hoping she'll just be tired Saturday rather than still sick, else we may need to back out last min - will keep you posted.

gscrym · 19/04/2006 20:16

If you are likely to be there for a couple of hours, I'll come along for a quick cuppa. I'm nightshift and don't finish till 7am so being in Edinburgh means getting up at 11. Wouldn't mind usually but I'm nights on saturday night as well.

I will try my hardest to get there.

gscrym · 19/04/2006 20:20

Just had a look, can get a train at 12.44 from larbert and get into waverly at 13.28. Should be at the museum not to long after that. Would you all still be there? I always seem to get landed with working when meet-ups are on. I was looking forward to this because I was deff able to make this one. Curse my boss and his lackeys!

prettybird · 20/04/2006 08:46

I would imagine we would still be there - judging by previous occasions, we are still nattering at about 4! Hope we do manage to see you.

Hope your dd is feeling better and you can make it Twiga.

So, at the moment it is

gscrym (when she's had enough sleep! Grin)
gomez

twiga (if her dd is well enough)
prettybird
Liliput
Loobie (ds1 permitting)

What about ja9, judebear and mawbroon? Any of you able to make it? And anyone else interested?

gscrym · 20/04/2006 09:30

Could someone who is def going e-mail me their mobile number. That way I can text you and let you know if I got up on time.

My e-mail is gma5018142 at aol dot com.

Thanks

prettybird · 20/04/2006 18:04

Done - gscrym even now knows that I have a "Sex and the City" ring tone! Blush That way, if she has difficulty finding us, she just has to call and listen out for it!

prettybird · 21/04/2006 13:12

Bump to confirm for those who are coming and to see if anyone else is interested at this late date.

Saturday 22nd April, Royal Museum, Souson cafe, 12.30.

Mumsnet group will be identifed by the helium balloon(s) of some sort of caroon characters.

Confirmed at the moment are

gscrym (when she's had enough sleep! )
gomez
twiga (if her dd is well enough)
prettybird
Liliput (?)
Loobie (ds1 permitting)

Plus kids.

Plenty of room for others! Grin

prettybird · 21/04/2006 15:21

Bump

Twiga · 21/04/2006 16:29

Hi just quickly looking in to say I'm pretty sure we're going to make it - dd is still very tired but is much much brighter today - haven't needed any calpol and although stll not taking solid feeds, she's much happier in herself. Still bringing dh too if that's ok?!

Lilliput · 21/04/2006 16:50

I'm a definate, really looking forward to it, I just need to work out somewhere to park if Chambers Street is full!

ja9 · 21/04/2006 21:07

hi there

not going to make it i'm afraid. It's not a great time for us as ds sleeps for a couple of hours in the afternoon - usually 1 to 3 so he'd probably be very grumpy. But also, I'm really busy with work just now and need to make the most of his 2 hr nap to get stuff done.

Sorry.

Hope you all have a lovely time.

Aimsmum · 21/04/2006 23:24

Hope you all have a nice time tomorrow Smile

Twiga · 22/04/2006 10:23

We're leaving shortly, looking fwd to meeting everyone. We should be easy to spot as dh is 6'5" - see you soon Smile.

gomez · 22/04/2006 10:26

Will probably catch the 11.30am train which means wil be a tad late - about 15mins probably by the time we walk up.

Althought to be fair this message is probably too late anyway.

Cheerio

ja9 · 22/04/2006 19:31

well?

how did it go?

(and why is there still no sign of toothie?)

Twiga · 22/04/2006 20:20

Hi all, thanks for a nice afternoon - sorry we were so late, I think we found every slow moving vehicle in Scotland on the way over! Dh is really keen to go back to the museum sometime, he likes mucking about with stuff and thought some of the exhibits looked fab. Having got the first meet-up out of the way, looking fwd to the next - dh much relieved that everyone was normal and not of hairy trucker type vintage Wink! How were the bugs, did the kids enjoy the exhibit? Lilliput, hope you got back to Moffat ok, give me a shout if you're over this way and fancy coffee sometime.

gscrym · 23/04/2006 17:15

Hope you all had a lovely time. I was too tired but will try again to make the next one.

prettybird · 24/04/2006 11:37

We did have a good time and it was good to meet a few new people. :)

Twiga - ds and gomez' dd did enjoy the Insects. Not sure if it was worth the extra money though - ds would probably have been just as happy going around the rest of the museum.

Sorry you couldn't make it gscrym - but I can understand the greater attraction of bed after a night shift! :)

Sorry you couldn't make it either ja9 - it would have been nice to meet you again!

gomez · 24/04/2006 13:40

Hello - 'twas nice to put some faces to names on Saturday and apologies for taking so long to check in. We were all out and about yesterday enjoying the glorious weather Smile.

Must get organised for a summer meet-up - could perhaps plan a Scottish Picnic!

Cheerio.

prettybird · 24/04/2006 18:03

Does anyone have Toothache's e-mail address? Or am I going to have to get my act together and sign up for a CAT?

gomez · 25/04/2006 14:02

Sorry PB can't help with her e-mail address. Although I do know where her parents live so could set up a vigil Smile.

I am asuming that she still doesn't have access as I am sure if she did she would be back on line.....

jambuttie · 02/05/2006 16:15
