nhs direct take ages to ring back, then usually say take them to a&e, to cover themselves!

alexsmum · 16/03/2006 22:40

well there's no way we're doing that!
i'm already on first name terms with half the staff at the childrens unit of our local hospital!
last time i went when ds had the horrid tummy bug, the nurse on the assessment unit remembered his name and was telling me how she still hadn't moved into the house she'd been buying last time we were there!!

threelittlebabies · 16/03/2006 22:44

alexsmum · 16/03/2006 22:48

OP posts:
MerlinsBeard · 17/03/2006 14:14

i didn't go AM, wouldn't have afforded it 2 weeks in a row anyway. And ds1 has got one on him today so that wouldn't have been fun!

Lucycat · 17/03/2006 14:20

Oh your poor ds, do you think he'll be better by next week?

Anyway I'm back - and we had a really nice time, there was me (obviously!) mancmum, dyzzidi,Babydales, Woodybears and Sunnybank - who were the 3 very organised childminders!!

What gossip do you want? Everyone was very nice, the place was surprisingly quiet, although they did tell me that it would take them 30 mins to get me 2 slices of toast and butter!

Lucycat · 17/03/2006 14:20

Oh and dyzzidi's dd is gorgeous and the most contented baby I've ever seen!

gigwig · 17/03/2006 14:21

looking forward to the gossip!
It's really boring being stuck at home today.....

alexsmum · 17/03/2006 14:22

GrinGrin

OP posts:
Lucycat · 17/03/2006 14:23

Oh god we are all supermodels! Grin

MerlinsBeard · 17/03/2006 14:24

lol @ how thin was everyone!

Lucycat · 17/03/2006 14:30

My dd kept insisting that I went down 'the red tunnel slide' with her but I was afraid of getting stuck and having to shout 'mancmum help' across kk5 Grin

alexsmum · 17/03/2006 14:32

was it hard to remember not to call everyone by their mn names?
