err yes, in fact I'm having trouble remembering all the 'real' names now! Blush

alexsmum · 17/03/2006 14:45

i can just imagine it!
so was kk5 ok then? or should we choose somewhere new for next week?

OP posts:
Lucycat · 17/03/2006 14:47

kk5 seemed ok, I don't know if anyone has any other ideas?
I've got to go and get dd1 from school now but I'll be back later (if only just to check what the others thought!!) Grin

babydales · 17/03/2006 15:42

Yep , we had a good time too, but will make sure we order lunch in good time next week as the service was a little slow, and they had run out of chips and the hot choc machine was not working, oh well such is life. It was surprisingly quiet and I was surprised at the parking as there was lots of space. Thanks to Lucycat for the lovely comment about us being very organised, just wait till next week when the children that we look after who were off today are back, you wont know whats hit you,no they are not that bad really. See you all next week.

gigwig · 17/03/2006 15:59

Great you had a good time! I bet it is hard to remember people's real names!
I've never been to KK5 so don't know it,so am fine for going there next week. I know Funizuz and Head Over Heels which are both nice.

mancmum · 17/03/2006 16:20

I am just back after a scenic detour via the make sup counters of John Lewis... had a great time and am pleased to say everyone was completely lovely and was really good to put names to faces... even if I am struggling to remember the real names!! As usual was impressed with how well behaved everyone elses kids were compared to mine, despite bribing with more sugar and salt than she is normally allowed in a week... still all the practice will make her teenage years a doddle!!

Hope you have a good time next week... will be thinking of you .... waiting 30 mins for a piece of toast!! But will try to make the next one... and maybe a grown up one!!

Lucycat · 17/03/2006 16:31

Mancmum, did you have to bribe your lovely dd with a 'pig cake' from the John Lewis cafe so you could tour the rest of the shop? My dd was absolutely shattered when we got home.

First thing she did when we picked up dd1 from school was to gloat 'we've been to kk5' Grin

mancmum · 17/03/2006 16:40

Lucycat, yes, there was even more sugar used to bribe her into letting me try on new lipsticks... but then she insisted on putting the lipstick on me in a very slapdash way and I landed up looking like a clown -- which did not impress the perfectly made up assistants!! Landed up buying one just to apologise!! She then fell asleep in car on way home and I had to sit in freezing car with her for 45 minutes as if I had got her out, the mood would have been just too ugly!!

then picked DS up from school who insisted on having cake if she had had some, so I now have 2 kids mad on sugar running round demanding to go to KK5....

Lucycat · 17/03/2006 16:44

Grin What time is bedtime?

mancmum · 17/03/2006 17:49

probabaly about 2-3 hours after I have gone to bed... bless them, they are both very good at putting themselves to bed when me and DH forget!!

Trying to make them eat chicken and veg for their tea -- bet you can hear the screams from where you are!

dyzzidi · 17/03/2006 20:39

I really enjoyed today and do hope to make it next week! Lucycat you comment about my little one was very kind thank you although for the past hour she has been very naughty and is lucky she has not been put up for sale on ebay Grin

KK5 was ok the staff seemed a bit slow but were OK. As I walked in I said to the man I'm not going to have to pay for the baby am I she won't be able to go on anything and he just agreed so I didn't pay!

Well I hope a few more of you are able to make it next week. See you there

OP posts:
gigwig · 20/03/2006 21:11

hi,

we're fine, spots clearing up slowly. Going to go out tomorrow to the shops and also go to the library or somewhere - we've been through all his toys, watched favourite videos, even done cooking. I'm shattered trying to entertain and also ignore his new found habit of throwing himself on the floor saying he can't move whenever we ask him to do something he doesn't want.

We had broadband installed this weekend and it is great and I have spent loads of time on the Internet !!

Lucycat · 20/03/2006 21:12

So are you on for this Friday then gigwig?

gigwig · 20/03/2006 21:28

Hi Lucycat

Yes I am on for this Friday. Are you?

Lucycat · 20/03/2006 22:08

All being well yes! dd might be a bit more confident about going down the 'red slide'!!

threelittlebabies · 20/03/2006 22:27

pmsl Lucycat I read that as "I might be more confident"!!!! GrinBlush

MerlinsBeard · 21/03/2006 10:57

we are (fingers crossed) still coming Smile

threelittlebabies · 21/03/2006 11:33

Us too Smile looking forward to it! To those of you who went last week- is the kids food any good?

Lucycat · 21/03/2006 13:51

I'm not sure, it looked very much like the pizza, chips type fair but I seem to recall they did things like jacket potatoes too - if you are eating, order early though, it took ages!

lol at me going down the red slide - I'd get stuck and never live it down on MN! Grin
