OK, so who would be interested in another Northern "lasses" meet up.

I'll own up and say I'm completely bombed out pre Christmas, and my idea of fun isn't fighting the Xmas shopping crowds to find lunch + and I need something to look forward to in the dark and dreary days of January, but that doesn't stop the rest of you meeting up before hand, if you want to. I promise not to sulk.

I'm in for a chinese on the 17th, but dont fancy waiting till next December!

Fine ff, you?

Forestfly · 25/11/2003 12:59

Yep

luchar · 25/11/2003 14:00

Hi - is it the 17th January then? If so, count me in too!

Rhubarb · 26/11/2003 10:35

I'm in if I can come early as I will need to leave early. Either that or bring new baby with me which I don't want to do - far too much hassle!

Forestfly · 26/11/2003 10:54

How about we go out for dinner then early on and anyone that can stay out fantastic! Somewhere in the printworks, The noodle bar? Then theres loads to do after. 5pm maybe for dinner? Then you can bring your kids if you want, anybody who doesn't can go to a bar after. Then its easy to get home, my last train is at 10.30. Ramble, ramble, ramble.....

lilibet · 26/11/2003 12:47

Brill idea ff, not sure what time my last train is, but I shall find out.
How do we spot one another? Red roses in our lapels? Or just tht really nice smell of babysick on everyones shoulder?

Gumdrop · 26/11/2003 13:26

Noodle bar, 17th Dec and 5 pm all sound good to me - but I still can't guarantee that I'll be there. Run up to Christmas is my busiest time of year so it its anything like last year, no one will get cards and all the presents will end up being bought on Christmas Evening after work

17th of January!!!!

Gumdrop · 26/11/2003 13:42

I'm really confused now - Dadslib had 17th Dec (albeit next year). Did I miss a subtle joke?

OP posts:
Forestfly · 26/11/2003 13:46

No i dont think so i think he just typed it wrong. But i'm sure most people wnt to go in jan, i know i do! Everyone has other arangements that close to christmas. This is getting painfully complicated

Gumdrop · 26/11/2003 13:52

Right - I think I'm clear. If not I'm going to take my poor bemused self off for a good cry.

Forestfly · 26/11/2003 16:04

Can you write anything without loads of attitude!

There is a noodle bar round the left hand side of the printworks

thankyou for making the list not "sad"

I don't know what a metephorical pink carnation is though

If you don't like where were going feel free to change it

Rhubarb · 26/11/2003 21:05

I'm happy with that, perhaps we could book a table under the Mumsnet name so when people come in they could ask to be seated at that table?

lilibet · 26/11/2003 22:12

ooooohhhhh I'm excited now!!
Who's booking, and who is brave enought to say that their name is mumsnet?
Or should we go for a pseudonym?

ninja · 26/11/2003 22:34

ooh dadslib - you must be really posh, can't wait to meet you. I like the naff printworks but am willing to respect others' opinions!

I'll put the date in the diary

oliveoil · 27/11/2003 09:55

I can't go at that time, I turn into a pumpkin if it's late

I will be there in spirit. Let me know if Dadslib looks like Homer.

I am sure you have man boobs

janh · 27/11/2003 16:31

Do you know I have been thinking all this time "Hatworks" not "Printworks" (!!!) - what and where is this Printworks?

(Rhubarb, can I come with you, please?)

Forestfly · 27/11/2003 16:44

The Printworks is opposoite the triangle, which used to be the corn exchange, pre bomb.

I don't want to be in charge, i think dadslib should come up with his suggestion, if he thinks its pretentious. Wheres good dadslib?

I think we should book it under something else, otherwise people will think were odd balls

How old is everyone? Or is that none of my business
