You must be! Have just had my second, he is as lovely as the first but the pregnancy was much harder. Nothing major just constant aches, pains and sleeplessness; hope yours is better!

robinpud · 17/01/2006 22:32

Rushcliffe. Where are you Rhian?

Rhian101 · 17/01/2006 22:37

Rushcliffe too, Ruddington more specifically. Moved here just a couple of months ago. Do you have kids/expecting?

robinpud · 17/01/2006 22:41

I am Keyworth so very near I have 2 kids dd is nearly 9 and my ds has just started school. Are you settling in?

Rhian101 · 17/01/2006 22:45

Very close , haven't really settled in just yet, feel a bit far away from friends and family . My DH works in Keyworth. In desperate need of cups of tea and adult conversation LOL I have 2DS, one 2 months old, the other 7 years old.

robinpud · 17/01/2006 22:53

It's a tricky time isn't it when you are adjusting to life with a little one again and to be settling in somewhere new. Is there a psotnatal support group or new mums group run through the Health Centre for you to join?
Is your son at James Peacock or has he gone to the Juniors already?

Rhian101 · 17/01/2006 23:00

Haven't found much support to be honest. Son is in juniors and is loving it! Such a good school, he has definately settled in.

robinpud · 17/01/2006 23:00

Rhian -Switching off now but we will have to see about getting you some adult conversation.. I love cuddling babies!

robinpud · 17/01/2006 23:01

Feel free to Cat me about getting together sometime. I have no family here and I do miss them. Is your dh at BGS?

Rhian101 · 17/01/2006 23:01

G'night!

Rhian101 · 17/01/2006 23:02

Yup he's at BGS. You too. Thanks Robinpud.

Squarer · 17/01/2006 23:24

Rhian and Robinpud - would you be up for a Nottingham meet-up? I can try and sort one out if you would like - it's great to meet new people

(Used to live in West Bridgford and still take the dog to Rushcliffe Country Park when I get chance)

Rhian101 · 18/01/2006 10:37

Squarer, yes I would, it'd be really nice to get to know some mums in the area!

blondie82 · 18/01/2006 11:36

puddytat, im past that stage now!! dd is 6 months next week!

Elf1981 · 18/01/2006 11:37

Elf1981 · 18/01/2006 11:38

robinpud - small world, I used to live in Keyworth, my mum and dad are still there!

blondie82 · 18/01/2006 12:18

me too, would love to meet up sometime

OP posts:
Squarer · 18/01/2006 13:18

What age/s are your children? It will make it easier to determine a suitable meetup place

My DS is 13 months btw

blondie82 · 18/01/2006 13:30

my dd is 6 months next week

OP posts:
Elf1981 · 18/01/2006 13:37

my dd is 15 weeks on Thursday. A friend of mine uses mumsnet and would probably be interested (she lives in Mansfield) but is offline at the mo due to being on maternity leave, her dd is nearly five months

Rhian101 · 18/01/2006 13:44

Mine are 11 weeks on Friday and 7 years (but not a manic boy)

Squarer · 18/01/2006 14:17

Oh, and probably equally if not more so important, what days are best for people? I don't know who's working and who's not!

blondie82 · 18/01/2006 14:19

i can do any daytime as i work evenings. my shift is 4.30-8.30 but have fridays, saturdays and sundays off

OP posts:
Rhian101 · 18/01/2006 14:28

Weekends would probably be best for me.

robinpud · 18/01/2006 16:33

I am flexible - work part time and have both children at school - so could meet for a coffee on morning (with your kids ?)and then do something without children later.
