Custardo, I think the group may be a bit big for the Lime Lounge now.

A friend recommended Pig and Fiddle

There is also the Visit Bath site if anyone would like to look at places.

fivegomadindorset · 04/08/2011 21:17

Littlefish · 04/08/2011 21:45

Can I be the first to say that I may have to drop out. We are talking about having a party for Dh's birthday, and that weekend is the only one we have free in September. I will know more in the next week or so. Sorry.

MrsFlittersnoop · 04/08/2011 22:31

Cork Vaults may actually be the biz. All our College lecturers eat/drink there, and they are skint/like their grub/know how to have a good time. It is also v. well located for anyone coming from out of town.

Cork Vaults are also quite Meejah/Marketing Aware so may well be up for offering a Mumsnet discount - I can but try. Have to schlep into town tomorrow so will see if I can bullshit like crazy have a word with someone there.

Tortington · 04/08/2011 22:32

sounddddddddddddddddds gooooooooooooood

I vote for Cork Vaults! Tell em it's a MNHQ meeting and we absolutely need free wine. Tell em we'll plug their bar on mumsnet and give it rave reviews.

TheRhubarb · 05/08/2011 14:16

Just got back from Bath, went to Greggs, that was nice. Cheap an' all!

MoaningMcMyrtlepants · 05/08/2011 14:21

Just had a look at their website and I vote for the Cork Vaults as well.

TheRhubarb · 05/08/2011 16:48

Where the feck is it?

MoaningMcMyrtlepants · 05/08/2011 17:41

Here's the map :)

I think you walk up the road that goes behind McD's etc. until you get to the Uni and it is oppisite the uni.

TheRhubarb · 05/08/2011 20:36

Not my usual part of town. I don't do street names, just places I know. Erm, is it near Greggs?

MoaningMcMyrtlepants · 05/08/2011 22:52

I think if you walk along that road away from the main drag then you will get there.

Not sure what time I am going in yet (might go in early to have a wander round with out the "are we going hoooooome yet!!") but we could always meet up and try and find it together..

Tortington · 06/08/2011 07:29

do they have knoifez and forks in greggs Grin

if its not her usual part of town - you get my vote Wink

It's opposite the college (Bath Tech in old money - City of Bath College now I believe) rather than the uni (which is up in Claverton).

It's easy enough to find imo but I'm happy to meet people off the bus/train and walk them there.

TheRhubarb · 06/08/2011 10:34

Is the Uni near the police station? I never go near the Uni, didn't even know it was in Bath centre.
We live off Greggs when we go out. Sit on a bench and munch away like proper commoners Smile BUT if you go into a Greggs cafe you'll find they have knives and forks so there!

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 06/08/2011 10:53

Noooooo. The universities are both out of town.

Tortington · 06/08/2011 13:41

your greggs has a cafe?...show off

OP posts:
Tortington · 06/08/2011 13:42

look, do we get free wine ? if so - great stuff let s gooooo

OP posts:
TheRhubarb · 06/08/2011 16:14

Dunno how I can have missed the Cork Barrels or whatever it's called but hey ho, I'm in if there's free wine to be had! I'll sniff my way there!
