Ok, a thread to try and organise a Christmas meet.

Suggestions for dates and preference as to what we do. i.e the usual meal/p&ss up and nightclub or something rather more refined? .

mon would be good for me - say 12.30/12.45?
casino is good idea DG

DelGirl · 12/11/2005 15:10

Monday is fine with me. Usual place if Bunny can make it or somewhere different?

I quite like the idea of the casino. Ate there last year and the food was lovely. Of course there maybe a different chef now but i'm sure the standard will be as good. It's certainly no more expensive than anything we've had to date. We'll have to book soon though.

Any other suggestions for date/places?

Monday Castlepoint usual place at 12.00 then?

Merlin · 12/11/2005 17:03

Yep great - but could we make it more like 12.30? Just would rather feed little one at home before coming out!!!

Merlin · 12/11/2005 17:04

meant to say - re casino - will check up on how many guests a member can sign in - we may need more than one of us to join. Saying that - haven't they changed casino rules now whereby you don't need to be a member?

flamesparrow · 12/11/2005 17:26

They changed the rules so that you can join there and then - no 24 hour previous cooling off period now.

Merlin · 12/11/2005 17:52

thanks flamesparrow - thought it was something like that. are you up for a bit of a flutter?!!

flamesparrow · 12/11/2005 17:55

I'll come, but no fluttering for me.

flamesparrow · 12/11/2005 17:57

Sorry, that was a bit blunt... family history of problems, so I just avoid any form of gambling

DelGirl · 12/11/2005 18:51

I dont mind joining anyway, seeing as you can do it online and it doesn't cost anyway.

12.30 on Monday is fine, see you both then . I'll try and get there a bit earlier and grab a table, so i'll see you inside.

Blimey this thread is long! Too many dates to deciper, can someone fill me in on where/when/etc!! Looks like a midweek again , I can do the eating, but my coach turns into a pumpkin at midnight on a weekday so no murder on the dancefloor for me!

p.s. see you Wednesday, Delgirl/Sparkler (might be a teensy bit late, dh is working a long way from home that day).

flamesparrow · 14/11/2005 17:05

I'll be nearly 30 weeks gone by then, so I think I'll probably be a pumpkin by midnight too

DelGirl · 14/11/2005 19:33

Been chatting with Merlin and Bunny today.

How about Weds the 7th of December. Going to Stanley's casino to eat and then a flutter and then on to a club, either Disco Fever or Bumbles??? How does that suit everyone? Will probably need to book Stanley's pretty soon, i.e in the next week as I think they get booked up.

Jodee, look forward to seeing you on Weds and you Surfermum

Tis all ok here

catj · 15/11/2005 04:31

That sounds good to me. Although I'll give the clubbing a miss- being a boring (pregnant) old fart!

Merlin · 15/11/2005 16:24

Sounds good DG. Will be nice to meet flame and catj (promise we wont drag you clubbing in your conditions!!!)

flamesparrow · 15/11/2005 19:30

Hair appointment booked for the day before!

chjlly · 15/11/2005 19:38

Sounds good to me too but because of the old pregnant fart driving I won't be able to make the club either

DelGirl · 18/11/2005 10:39

It's back to the drawing board folks. Well, with regard to eating anyway. I've just rung Stanley's and apparently the restaurant is shut from next week for a refurb. It won't be open until after Christmas. (stupid time if you ask me!)

The casino is still open though if anyone still wants to go there. So, suggestions need pdq i'd say. Could go with the greek restaurant perhaps or what about Tapas. There's Tapas Ariba in the square which is quite good. Or Macdonalds for those of us with a finer palate. We could ronald as entertainment

chjlly · 18/11/2005 10:54

You might find that Catj would like a change from McDonalds!

catj · 18/11/2005 13:34

Just watch you or you'll be walking

bunny2 · 18/11/2005 16:55

Does the greek do plate-smashing? Im happy with that (rather than tapas). Are we still on for Wed 7th? I need to go to Slimming World first so could be in town by 7.30ish

flamesparrow · 18/11/2005 18:07

What is Tapas? You can tell I'm a classy bird - I can tell you all on offer at MacDonalds

SPARKLER1 · 19/11/2005 12:54

oooooh 100 posts!!!!!

I'm getting confused - well it doesn't take much!!

I'm happy to do whatever. Am free on 7th (not keen on the night but I shall have to pace myself with the old vino).

DelGirl · 19/11/2005 15:19

we made it the 7th cos you can't do the 8th sparkler

Any more suggestions for where to go folks?
