Ok, a thread to try and organise a Christmas meet.

Suggestions for dates and preference as to what we do. i.e the usual meal/p&ss up and nightclub or something rather more refined? .

That's a shame KP, it would have been nice to see you again.

Any suggestions as to a venue Bunny? I love Greek, bit of dancing, plate smashing, etc. Used to go to a great one in Chiswick that was open till 3am, but I've no idea what the one in Bournemouth is like.

DelGirl · 06/11/2005 23:19

9th/10th is ok for me at the mo. Who else is up for that weekend? Bunny, have you been to Ruby'z before? I haven't but have heard it's very good. Still, if it doesn't appeal there are plenty of other places to go.

KP sorry you won't be able to make this one. No chance of dh babysitting is there? Must meet up sson

Surfermum, Greek sounds good but i've not been to the one in Bournemouth before so I couldn't tell you what it's like.

oh dear oh dear

9/10th no good for me I'm afraid - visiting the outlaws - BIL 50th birthday party!

Perhaps we should have 2 Xmas meetups!!!!

chjlly · 07/11/2005 13:25

I can't do the 10th either I'm afraid

Merlin · 07/11/2005 13:26

definitely have to do 2 then!!!!

SPARKLER1 · 07/11/2005 17:38

I can't do 2nd or 3rd De.

flamesparrow · 07/11/2005 17:43

oooh, this has continued lots!! Surfermum - there was lots of dancing afterwards when I went to Rubyz.

No idea about dates here - my mummy is takin me to hers now too .

flamesparrow · 07/11/2005 17:44

Word from my mum... The Greek place is good (can't remember what its called) - danced loads.

Merlin · 07/11/2005 17:55

where is the Greek place flamesparrow? Not sure I know that one.

DelGirl · 07/11/2005 18:56

I'm not sure either but I have a feeling it might be in Old Xchurch road if there is one. What're we going to do about the date?? Trying to fix up another xmas do as well but I'm hoping that'll be on the 1st so it will leave me free at the weekends. Not sure I can do 2 though, will see who I can get to sit.

OP posts:
DelGirl · 07/11/2005 18:58

Looks like a week day might be better for most people but Jodee has to come to this one

OP posts:
surfermum · 07/11/2005 21:06

Delgirl - I will sit for you for your other one so you can come out with us. When is it?

DelGirl · 07/11/2005 23:30

That's really kind of you Surfermum but what I meant was that I may not make it to 2 mumsnet meets . Still got to organise myself for a do on the 14th as well. The other xmas do is at mine and then there's Christmas and then it'll be my 40th . By the way, that's booked now so you'll all get your invites!

DelGirl · 07/11/2005 23:32

oh yeah and there's the london meet before that [boss eyed emoticon]. Looks like my pink top will get plenty of wear then !

flamesparrow · 08/11/2005 09:38

Yup - Tis on Old Xchurch road... Mum thinks its called Zorbas, but you have to go on a certain night for dancing apparantly.

bunny2 · 08/11/2005 16:26

can we do a weeknight then instead?

amynnixmum · 08/11/2005 16:30

I definately can't do the 3rd as its dh's xmas do. I might be able to do a weeknight.

bunny2 · 08/11/2005 16:34

shall we go for a weeknight then? Thursdays are always good - almost the weekend by then.

amynnixmum · 08/11/2005 16:36

Thursdays are usually good for me because dh often has them off work so no need to organise a babysitter

Merlin · 08/11/2005 16:50

weeknight it is then - Jodee you will just have to sufrhtifer the hangover next morning!!!! It is Christmas after all!!!

bunny2 · 08/11/2005 16:51

fab. I loooove Xams celebrations

Merlin · 08/11/2005 16:52

hiya bunny - were your ears burning this afternoon? DG and I were talking about you - must get together for coffee or something - next week?

bunny2 · 08/11/2005 16:57

what were you saying? spill the beans. You're a bit sophisticated, where would you suggest I throw a lunch party for Holly's first birthday? I cant think of any decent places that would appeal to my trendy relatives from London. Would love to meet for coffee - how about Castlepoint?

DelGirl · 08/11/2005 17:27

Can't make Thursday the 1st (I think) or Wednesday the 14th and would rather it wasn't the 15th. Other than that i'm free. Oh and prob not the week ending the 26th Nov either. I'm not sophisticated Bunny so I can't help you.

You are going to make it aren't you Jodee? Just make sure you drink plenty of water when you get a home and have an early night the night before

OP posts:
Merlin · 08/11/2005 17:42

Sophisticated? Moi? well - it's true i don't drink pints - well only champagne!

can't think of anywhere at mo ..... i'll ask my sister - she's up on good places to eat.
