Sadness!!!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/02/2011 09:10

Has the plumber been yet SPB?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/02/2011 09:10

Sorry Spiggy, I mean!!!

juneybean · 15/02/2011 09:42

Morning! Was going for a lie in but the cat is being a buggar!

spiggy · 15/02/2011 10:15

No plumber yet. He's not got a lot to do, just check what needs doing to disconnect the Aga Sad and how to re-route the downstairs heating and hot water to come from the boiler instead but he didn't say a time he was coming. So what can I plan for next Mon that'll mean DP has to stay in with the kids all day? [revenge is sweet emoticon]

Hope you all have fun if I don't get there Envy

Naughty cat juney. Still it was better than how I was woken up this morning - with a little voice whispering in my ear...."Mammy I've done a poo" Grin

juneybean · 15/02/2011 11:17

I'm a bit peckish

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2011 18:46

I am so so sorry for standing you all up. I had a meeting at 9am - you'd think that would be ok wouldn't you?
So then I was told that it had been put back to 9.30. Still OK. Then I was told the meeting lead was held up in traffic, and these meetings normally go on for 3 hours or so. Terrific.
At 11.50 I thought I was OK...meeting seemed to be ending. At 12.10 I thought about texting and asking ypou to order for me. Then it was all too late :(

spiggy · 15/02/2011 19:17

Plumber only just been Angry I could have come out after all.

Hope you had a nice time at the pub though. Apart from SPB who clearly had a day as frustrating as mine!

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2011 20:56

Just been now Shock
Mine's getting better, got home, DH saw my stressed face and said "takeaway?" :o

spiggy · 16/02/2011 08:45

He thought we'd booked for Wed Hmm. Still, he does do jobs for mates rates so I can't complain too much Grin

Your DH sounds well trained Grin

Indith · 16/02/2011 18:01

Can't really do night out given that we just spent rather a lot on a meal out last weekend Grin. Beamish I can probably do any day though we may run toddlers on Thursday if enough people would still come at half term. Also depends on my being able to get the car from dh though I have warned him!

We could push night out back to March ? 26th seems awfully soon.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 16/02/2011 18:35

Yes I would be happy to push it back to March.

I think Tuesday seems to be the best day for Beamish.

Sitting on the fence Grin will depend on bank account and also there are rowing races on both those Saturdays so will depend on dh to a great extent. Not keen on going back to Ask though as it was a bit rubbish last time we went.

OP posts:
juneybean · 18/02/2011 17:29

That's true! It was a bit of a damp squib

StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2011 12:51

hi everyone :)

Indith · 19/02/2011 13:25

Boo!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2011 13:38

hi, how are you?

Indith · 19/02/2011 14:18

Fine thank you, you? Morning or afternoon tomorrow? Am planning on throwing dh out wiht the dcs for a few hours too. I feel the need ot be where my children are not Grin.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2011 14:20

Oh dear :) Any particular reason? (It's what I'm doing today, and highly recommended)
Morning? Playground, assuming no snow?

Indith · 19/02/2011 14:30

I am just being a very cross mummy with a very short fuse and they have spent the week ripping each other to shreds. This morning was spent by the river in teh freezing cold getting soggy and this afternoon I'm on my own with the dcs while dh messes about in a boat (well ok he is racing in the regatta), they are alternating between racing around together and killing each other. Last weekend feels like a lifetime ago. I just wish that for once we could have a weekend that isn't taken up with bloody boats, we never end up doing anything at all that is nice as a family.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2011 14:32

:(

Indith · 19/02/2011 14:35

Well it keeps him happy. I just need to stop feeling sorry for myself. I'm Envy mostly really that he gets to do something he enjoys with teamates while the only break from dcs I get is if he takes them out for an hour or so at the weekend and I do the bloody cleaning.

Anyway, morning is good. If it is too cold then come round here?

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2011 14:38

see why you wanted to meet today now!
Well if you have done all that today and then take the DCs out in the morning then he really does owe you a good few hours of time to yourself (and then joint cleaning when the DCs are in bed!)
Yes, sounds good, or you can come here if you like?
