bossykate · 15/11/2003 20:55

hi custy, what is the absolute latest you need to know by? my hand is kind of hovering at shoulder level due to another invitation on the same night...

Twink · 15/11/2003 22:21

Shame on you BK ! What other event could possibly outdo a Mumsnet night out !?

Hope you can persuade the other group to re-schedule.

Janstar · 15/11/2003 22:36

Bossykate - come and see us and disappoint the others. Pleeeeeze!

w-e-l-l... it is a friend's birthday, she is a lovely person who has had a hard time of it recently... as a friend feel i should show up at her party... but have worked out by looking at this thread i will know more people at the mumsnet xmas party than at her do!... and we're going to be seeing them for dinner just the four of us about a week after the party anyway which will be a much better way to catch up...

Jollymum · 15/11/2003 23:33

OK, where is it, who's going and how far is it from BRUM?! My brother lives in London and I could maybe cadge a bed for the night. If it's a weekend, that's ok, not a school, night though. Let me know.. (and talk to me about deposits/what everyone's wearing (sad, I know)) etc, etc, etc....

Gangle · 16/11/2003 00:47

ScummyMummy · 16/11/2003 08:56

My hand is up for sure for sure. Can't wait.
Do I detect your hand creeping upward, BK? Hope so.

Tortington · 16/11/2003 10:49

that is : twink,ladyp,metro,fisil,janstar,dinosaur,scummy,custardo.

any more pleeeeeassee?

jolly mum its on a saturday the 6th dec - no deposit is needed. please come

OP posts:
Tortington · 16/11/2003 10:56

that is 8 people. unless i get 20 people i will be tapping those who have dropped out for the deposit of £10.

i need definate numbers now please everyone - so if you know someone who hasnt put their hand up - pleae e - mail them to get their hands in.

rather than lose a £200 cheque - i might just cancel the cheque - and we can arrange to meet same day - same time - different location!!!

pllllleaaaase tell me if you are coming £200 is a lot of money this close to xmas and i really counted on you lot to turn up when i was making the arangements.

i figured a couple would drop out and a couple would drop in - but a drop from over 20 - to just 8 people was bigger than i expected.

thank you

Custy- don't panic yet, babe. I think it's probably early days yet- I'm sure that some people haven't seen this and will confirm as soon as they realise how important it is. And if not, I for one have no intention whatsoever of letting you be £200 out of pocket and I'm dead sure most of the folk on here feel the same way. If not I will challenge each and every one of them to a duel and I will be using my son's power ranger sword- all powerful as you will know.

Janstar · 16/11/2003 11:14

Custardo, Twink and Twinkie are two different people and they are both coming. (I think I have this right?)

custardo, from what I can see there have been 7 definte drop outs and about, 6 please is it too late to come and a couple of maybes, so I would think that the numbers would even out and that people just haven't seen this thread yet.

Maybe you could start a new thread 'NEED DEFINTE ANSWERS FOR XMAS MEET' or something in case people don't realise that they need to give their final answer. Maybe.

Anyway, if it all goes belly up then I will send you the £10 no problems, still be cheaper then getting there, but not as much fun I bet

sorry sorry sorry!

Tortington · 16/11/2003 11:58

soory for the panic - i do panic !!!!! i am panicking!!

OP posts:
Wills · 16/11/2003 12:01

Sorry Custy - hadn't seen the thread come up. STILL COMING!!!!

bossykate · 16/11/2003 13:08

hi custy, will decide today and get back you. organising these things is stressful, isn't it? especially with ditherers like me complicating matters.. i will of course refund you any deposit money if necessary.

fisil · 16/11/2003 14:54

Also Custy, remember that some people only Mumsnet at work, so hopefully many more will confirm tomorrow.

I'd be panicking too in your position.

Bk do come. I' m being v. antisoial at the moment but would love to catch up.

Dixie · 18/11/2003 17:01

sorry custardo.......... I was always a possible maybe but I really would have found it easier to stay over....but no one has said they are prepared to share or stay at same hotel (Don't want to stay alone). I travelling alone is a bit of a problem...I was going to suggest travelling with twinkie from new eltham as thats not too far but then looked into the travelling from new eltham to home & its looking difficult. Bear with me though...should be able to let you know for sure by end of week.......
