went bowling today and saw the posters for xmas bookings.

is there going to be a mumsnet Xmas meet this year and which ultra supreme queen of mums is going to organise it?

Just a thought, what about La Rueda, it's a v odd tapasy sort of place on the King's Road, they pull back the tables and have a sort of schooly 80s disco! If you want to dance round your handbag that's the place.

Better check they still do it tho.

Me too, if I can beg a floor space, I'm not leaving at 21.45 ever again !!!

The first weekend in December is 6th/7th. I think i can persuade DP to let me out for the weekend on my own then.
Are the places suggested near tube stations as I would have toget a hotel room for beg a bit of floor space of someone.

I'm up for a christmas meetup, but am so old and tired, I want somewhere quiet (or a quiet area even if there's a disco elsewhere) And don't even mention dancing to me.

Hey, Ghosty - hoping to be in NZ next July/Aug - can you wait until then for a UK-NZ meet-up?

Count me in, might let dh & the kids (3 by then) come down as well, he can babysit while I party!!! Even with the money problems on the night the food was good, the atmosphere was good and the company was better. Can't wait.

Hey custardo, I was joking! Should have put a smiley in so you knew that Yes, they were crap about the money weren't they. If we'd have been more sober (soberer?) I think we'd have told them no way could they suddenly spring an extra charge on us after the bill had been and gone. It's all a bit hazy now though. Tigermoth, you are not old!

Oh yes yes yes don't forget me. And bk has to come (I promise I'll leave the camera at home) I think I'm also getting old but I would second Tigermoths suggestion that we go somewhere where you can actually have a quiet netter - but having said that I want to dance to cheesy eighties music too.

For those that don't fancy travelling to London, Ronniebaby and I will arranger something for the 1st weekend in December in Nottingham if there is enough interest.
