Afternoon!

Apologies for the late starting of the thread. Got distracted by the papers and the need to cook stuff for later on today!

Anyway here's the spreadsheet for its final outing on this Bootcamp.

It's been a quiet one this time around, but hopefully people have seen good results.

No idea when the next Bootcamp will be, so in the meantime, lets keep chatting on this thread.

Oldest little one is back in nursery after the Easter break so I'm also refocusing on bootcamping. It's not helped by my youngest starting weaning and throwing carb laden delights all over the place!! I didn't realise quite how much of their leftovers I eat without thinking... "soggy breadstick? There's nowhere to dispose of it. Easiest to just eat it myself" 🙄

poorbuthappy · 17/04/2024 20:31

Had a small creep upwards due to a bad day yesterday. Have got back on it today.
Hope everyone's ok!

UnOeufIsEnough · 17/04/2024 21:21

Feel your pain @poorbuthappy! I put on 2lb overnight despite being pretty much on plan. I know it can't be fat I've put on, but I was 2lb off getting under the next stone, so it's psychologically annoying to now be 4lb off.

The logical part of me knows it'll come off in the next day or two and that weightloss isn't linear but the emotional part of my wants to stamp my feet and throw the scale out the window Grin

prettybird · 17/04/2024 21:27

@pinknsparkly - that's why I loved learning the expression "I am not a human trash can" during the Christmas 2022 Boot Camp.

I use it a lot Grin

Baystard · 17/04/2024 21:34

In solidarity with you@poorbuthappy and @UnOeufIsEnough I'm feeling too horribly bloated to even weigh this week. Unusually weepy and anxious too, so hoping it's all just hormones and it'll pass.

Good eating though. Had swede chips (not lowest carb veg but not a potato either) and low carb burger for supper, lots of cheese.

Hi all

Strange day yesterday with the latter part very stressful!

Br: black coffee (have IF before)
Lu: Greek salad “twas yummy”
Tea: L/C chilli with buttered kale
smacks: baby cucumber, pate and a few slices of chorizo

totally enjoying the food but fell of the wagon as I reached for the low alcohol but sparkly wine! due to feeling stressed. Did OK on the 💦 front.

I must learn some new strategies!

Todays plan
breakfast: Blk coffee and herbal teas.

lunch L/C salad
Tea not sure yet!
snacks

Lots of 💦

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning all ,
I had a lovely day yesterday 👍
DSis and I went to the garden centre , loads of plant reduced , I even bought a little eucalyptus tree for £6 , and a huge heuchera for £2
Then out for lunch , I ordered a goats cheese tomato and olive salad , and was served burrata , tomato and croutons , but it was lovely , fabulous zingy dressing … and I left most of the croutons
Dinner was salmon fillet with green beans and avocado
Drank loads of water , and slept like a log !

Will have scrambled eggs for breakfast as I’m meeting a friend and we’re going for a hilly walk , and I don’t fancy that unless I’ve eaten something
n
Not sure about lunch , dinner yet , we need to buy some veg but there’s lots of cold roast chicken in the fridge

Happy Thursday

alwaysonadiet1 · 18/04/2024 08:46

Good morning all. Lovely sunny morning here in London. Feeling positive!

Appalonia · 18/04/2024 18:36

I've lost 3lbs this week butt only because I've been ill and not been able to face eating!

I've now lost 17lbs which is great but I seem to have 'phantom fat '. Ie I still feel fat on my tummy, even tho a lot of it has gone! Has anyone else had this?!

LilianaVikavanovich · 19/04/2024 06:41

Good morning , I’m a bit cross I’m awake so early , as I’m retired and don’t need to get up and go to work anymore 😂

@Appalonia hope you’re feeling better today , is the “phantom fat “ wobbly ?
if so , I have that too , I’m hoping it’s a sign of a loss in weight , keeping fingers crossed for both of us

Very bravely got on the scales , and I’m back to my pre Barbados weight ( and the extra Easter weight ) which I’m obviously very pleased with

Today’s plan is …
B scrambled eggs
L avocado & bacon salad
D nice sausages on tons of greens ( and mash for DH ) leeks and mushrooms

Baystard · 19/04/2024 08:34

Hello everyone.

I'm relieved it's Friday but a busy weekend ahead with children's activities.

I'm wearing my fat trousers today and they're snug. I know it's water (I did weigh yesterday, and again today - I've put on 4lb overnight which surely can only be water). Utterly fed up with perimenopause.

Will do a food shop this weekend in a naice shop that I don't go to very often, and treat myself to some nice cheese.

Wobbly fat usually seems to preceed a whoosh @LilianaVikavanovich - good luck!

UnOeufIsEnough · 19/04/2024 20:00

Lovely (but cold) day today and I went for a long walk after dropping the kids at school. It's still a bit muddy underfoot after all the rain but it was so nice to feel the sun on my face.

DH made smash burgers in Srsly seeded rolls with a big salad and it was delicious! It was just what I wanted!

Hope you've all had a good day! Star

Does anyone know where I can get some cottage cheese WITH FAT
i can only find the fat free versions!

BIWI · 20/04/2024 15:58

You need to go to a big supermarket @Kettlebellend - not the smaller/local/convenience ones.

Sainsbury's definitely sell it.

Try to find Longley Farm cottage cheese. It's the best!

poorbuthappy · 21/04/2024 08:04

Happy Sunday everyone.
Glorious morning here.
Debating a long dog walk but I have a lot of stuff to do in the house Confused
He may have to wait until later.
Lost the 2lb I put on which I'm pleased about.
Did a full on shop yesterday and bought a fab bit of beef for todays dinner.
How's everyone doing?

Thesoundofmusic23 · 21/04/2024 16:48

Sounds good @poorbuthappy - haven’t managed very strict BC this week but have lost some of what I gained at Easter and have been very active this week so feeling good and energised generally. Made a delicious chorizo and roast veg stew with cauliflower rice last night that was delicious. Hoping as spring kicks in salads will be more appealing too as I love a good salad with some chicken or fish etc.

Baystard · 22/04/2024 06:37

Happy Monday everyone!

Not wholly successful week last week but good day yesterday and I KOKO, eventually I'll get there.

This week I'm going to refocus on water! All the water!

Have a good week everyone.

You need Sainsburys for longley farm. No other cottage cheese will do.

alwaysonadiet1 · 22/04/2024 10:19

1 week in and 2lb down. I've been doing light not strict to ease myself in and will stick with this while it's working. Happy Monday!

alwaysonadiet1 · 24/04/2024 14:54

Just survived a pub lunch surrounded by people eating fish and chips! Smelt sooo good!

UnOeufIsEnough · 24/04/2024 15:04

Well done @alwaysonadiet1 !!

alwaysonadiet1 · 24/04/2024 15:15

I deserve a medal Wink

Appalonia · 25/04/2024 00:40

I made a lovely rhubarb crumble tonight, was yum! ( rhubarb is low carb in case you didn't know )

Appalonia · 25/04/2024 18:12

I wrote this on another thread about being successful in losing weight. Thought I'd post it on here in case any of it was helpful to anyone here.

I've recently lost 16 lbs. I did low carb. Hardest thing was deciding to do it and committing to it. Set a date. Got rid of the perishable carbs first. Did it with a male friend. Set a goal weight and a date by which to achieve it. We had a support call every Monday morning, which was v motivating and kept me accountable. Created a meal plan every week and made sure I had lots of low carb food in. Looked at lots of recipe books and low carb recipes online. Joined the low carb boot camp on here. Didn't beat myself up if I didn't lose weight one week. And I've gone from 11 stone 6 to 10 stone 4. So proud of myself!
