Here's a link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness lovingly managed by @ouchmyfeet.

I've added a couple of names that I've spotted this evening, but they're at the bottom of the list not alphabetised - if your name isn't on the list, add yours at the bottom, and we'll re-alphabetise it once we get going.

So sorry @Fleecy Flowers

@ilovecherries thanks, I needed this post today as I’ve put weight on too, although my stomach feels a bit smaller.

BIWI · 20/01/2022 14:44

Oh @Fleecy I'm so sorry to hear that Sad. Be kind to yourself. Flowers

@BSky the Seedlip is fine, as it's zero carb, zero calorie and zero absolutely everything else! But it's the tonic that's the problem, as it contains artificial sweeteners.

BIWI · 20/01/2022 14:46

@MrsTerryPratchett yes, it will settle down!

LostMyLastHatfulOfWords · 20/01/2022 14:46

@StuntNun

Today's food:

B: nothing as I'm a long-term Bootcamper and intermittent faster but I did have a lot of water and a couple of herbal teas.
L: French Onion Soup due to a weird craving (Waitrose tinned is about 4.5g carbs per 100g) with Schneider-Brot Protein Bread, then some kimchi, home-made kefir, a large chunk of nature cheddar and more herbal tea.
D: sirloin steak with roasted cherry tomatoes and a roasted huge portobello mushroom.

I'm about to drink yet more water before bedtime.

'Yum' to your menu @stuntnun

(Do you enjoy fermented foods or are they for digestive health?)

LizzyBennett · 20/01/2022 14:49

@Fleecy Flowers I'm so sorry to hear that - be kind to yourself xxx

Rshard · 20/01/2022 15:29

So sorry fleecy, what a terrible shock Flowers

FinallyHere · 20/01/2022 15:40

Thinking of you @Fleecy and your family

What sad news.

ThePrionOne · 20/01/2022 15:57

So sorry Fleecy. Awful for you all.

StuntNun · 20/01/2022 16:01

Jollyholibobs in circumstances like that you sometimes have to make the least worst choices you can. Worst case scenario - aim for weight maintenance and then you can rejoin us losers when you get back.

What awful news Fleecy my condolences to you and your family.

LostMyLastHatfulOfWords I don't quite follow Bootcamp, I'm doing a slightly more extreme different version based on the Weston A. Price Foundation recommendations. In addition to the Bootcamp rules I don't eat nuts, seeds or dark chocolate and I do add in organ meats (lambs liver,) fermented foods (kimchi, sauerkraut and kefir) and raw dairy (unpasteurised cheese and my kefir is made from raw milk.)

So sorry to hear your sad news @Fleecy, what a horrible shock Thanks

@ilovecherries thank for your post; I've lost a sum total of zero so far, and was feeling a bit down about it, so this was a good reminder to stick with it.

B: coffee, goats cheese egg muffin
L: Gambas pil pil with massive avocado/courgette/tomato salad
D: Serrano wrapped chicken and a veg medley.

Forgot water this morning and now trying to catch up! Blush

ilovecherries · 20/01/2022 16:40

MrsTerryPrachet I literally just came back on to ask if anyone knew if this could cause … ahem ….URGENT diarrhoea. I was saved only by the most rapid of sprints. I even searched my original bootcamp thread to see if it had been an issue for me then as well, but that time I seemed to have complained about everything else but not this.

BIWI · 20/01/2022 16:48

Any drastic change in eating habits can cause a problem with the digestion.

OP posts:
BIWI · 20/01/2022 16:49

@TakeItCheesy

We're only on day 4!!!

Sorry to say, this is a marathon not a sprint. We all lose differently, and at different rates. So all those posting about lovely losses this week may find next week it's slowed down, and then it's your turn to post a loss!

Honestly, I promise it will work for you. You just need to stick with it/us! Flowers

EwanHoozami · 20/01/2022 17:09

Oh Fleecy Sad I'm so sorry about your lovely MIL.

@CeleriacOfTheNight I am very excited for you regarding the pork pie!

I made this the other day and it was the absolute tits. I bet it would work in a waffle maker too, if you added the wilted spinach to the mix

Spinach and herb 'pancake'

blend or fork-whisk these:

3 eggs
half a round of Boursin
salt & pepper

meanwhile, wilt a few handfuls of spinach in butter in a frying pan.

When wilted right down, add the mix and cook like a pancake.

chef kiss

LostMyLastHatfulOfWords · 20/01/2022 17:23

@Fleecy Flowers so sorry to hear this. What a shock for you all.

ouchmyfeet · 20/01/2022 17:46

So sorry for your loss Fleecy, go easy on yourself. Must be a terrible shock x

That's the chestnut!

I think it's the fat. Plus he drinks coffee. If BIWI says it resolves, it resolves!

Random789 · 20/01/2022 18:10

Fleecy, what a terrible shock for you. I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself.

I made myself a whole litre teapot of my pukka herbal tea today (Original Chai - cinnamon, cardamom, ginger) and that seemed to work well. It stayed hot long enough for a prolonged sipping experience rather than glugging.

It was nice at the beginning, tolerable in the middle and only very slightly disgusting by the end - which by herbal tea standards is a big win.

AllTheBlackCoffee · 20/01/2022 18:13

@Fleecy, so sorry about your DMIL Flowers

ShagMeRiggins · 20/01/2022 18:25

@MrsTerryPratchett

I just want to remind people to mention water all the time. I read the thread at lunch every day. And every day someone mentions water and I think "crap water" and quickly drink a litre. Grin
WATER WATER WATER

It absolutely makes a difference, not because we’re trying to substitute water for nutrition/food, but because glycole (?) reservoirs & stuff.

Ps—I am not scientist, doctor, dietician, nutritionist—I just know that when I drink loads of water and follow the way of eating with FLGV, reasonable protein, good fats, etc, it all works.

H1Drangea · 20/01/2022 18:45

My condolences @Fleecy

I’ve scrolled back , but can’t remember who lies the mini garlic and herb Boursin ?
They’re on special offer in Tesco , down to £1 ( I think 6 in a box )
Bought some , thinking they will be nice in a bowl of soup
They also had whole duck for sale (£9 ) that’s what we’re having for our Sunday roast , usually I just get the breasts ( and make a lovely sweet and sharp plum sauce ) I’ll have a look for a nice Bootcamp friendly recipe

Meals today
B scrambled buttery eggs
L home made veg soup ( cauli and courgette with blue cheese crumbled in )
D salmon fillet with tray of veg
Still a bit hungry , so a slice of cheddar required with another glass of WATER

LostaraYil · 20/01/2022 18:49

So sorry about your sad news Fleecy. Flowers
