Here's a link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness lovingly managed by @ouchmyfeet.

I've added a couple of names that I've spotted this evening, but they're at the bottom of the list not alphabetised - if your name isn't on the list, add yours at the bottom, and we'll re-alphabetise it once we get going.
@CeleriacOfTheNight sorry! Grin

I should have made a note of all those who are exempt from The Big Stick! Forgive me for not remembering.
I think you'd need to be superhuman to keep track of all of us lot! Grin

LostMyLastHatfulOfWords · 18/01/2022 13:00

@NigellaAwesome

I forgot to say, for those looking for ideas of what to drink. Twinings have reintroduced buttermint tea. They also do bags called Cold Infuse for water bottles. I like the rose lemonade flavour, and there is no sugar or sweeteners in them.

On a different note, Sainsburys were selling off jars of iberico pork fat for 10p, and Xmas branded coconut oil for 48p.

Whoop Whoop! Buttermint tea is back ! Glitterball
BIWI · 18/01/2022 13:02

@Baystard

I don't really have a plan today, but I've decided lunch is going to be thinly sliced chorizo roasted until it is crisp and used to scoop a mixture of full fat soft cheese and grated mature cheddar. I was going to have solely soft cheese but i think the cheddar is lower in carbs so I'll mix them.

Not sure about dinner yet, ham omelette possibly.

... and don't forget the veg!!!

YesIcan3 · 18/01/2022 13:02

I also woke up with a headache but also breaking my coffee habit and drinking more fruit teas. Feeling positive reading everyone's story's.
Going to be having my chicken salad for dinner again I will put a extra big dollop on @BIWI Grin this thread is helping me a lot thank you!

waves to cherries. Sorry to read that you have been having such a tough time. Glad to know you are on the mend

You inspired me by continuing bootcamp on holiday. I did the same & really enjoyed that holiday, lots yummy LCHF food and no guilt.

Just Marvellous.

LostMyLastHatfulOfWords · 18/01/2022 13:06

@ilovecherries Flowers
What a terrible time you have been through.
Glad to see you here again. (I have had other names over the years.)

MercedesBenz · 18/01/2022 13:07

I love the idea of butter mint tea , that’s now on my list
@StuntNun thanks for the chorizo idea , I love chorizo, so that’s in my list

B none
No big stick needed , if er here
L celeriac soup
T tb decided possibly spinach and eggs

@ilovecherries , you’ve had such a bad time of it , that must have been so difficult

💐

Random789 · 18/01/2022 13:10

Definitely going to try the buttermint tea. The name is comfortably reminiscent of butterbeer in the Harry Potter stories, which I always very much wanted to drink.

My plan to switch to taking coffee black stalled this morning. It seems that I can stomach it black in the evenings, but in the morning absolutely have to have the soft fluffy kiss of cream.

LostMyLastHatfulOfWords · 18/01/2022 13:12

@UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea

Working from the office for the first time since before Christmas and there's a bloody great box of Quality Street sitting in the middle. Fuxsake.
On unsolicited office choc Repeat after me: -they are greasy and tastless and not how they look -they are tooth itchingly sweet and stick round your mouth -they promise energy but make you tired -they are not good for the environment (and eating them encourages sales)
 • you don't feel good after eating them - you really don't.
MercedesBenz · 18/01/2022 13:12

@Random789

soft fluffy kiss of cream.

Very poetically put 🙂

BetterthanIthink · 18/01/2022 13:14

@BIWI

Ha ! I can only wish 😂😂😂
BIWI · 18/01/2022 13:16

I know what you mean about black vs white coffee @Random789. I managed to go for the black coffee this morning, so I could introduce a bit of IF, and - as ever - realised it's not as bad as I always think it's going to be! Will 'reward' myself with a white coffee later/after lunch.

Baystard · 18/01/2022 13:21

@StuntNun

You can microwave chorizo Baystard 1 minute on high on a piece of kitchen paper. It also works with salami slices. They're lovely topped with a little bit of Brie.
That's useful to know stuntNun, handy if in a hurry. I wonder if it would work on baking paper - I like to mix the run-off chorizo oil into the cheese mixture [mumsnet pls can we have a drooling emoji Grin]

Good point biwi , I'll do salad with the omelette. Smile

FinallyHere · 18/01/2022 13:24

Interesting 15min segment on R4 this morning at 9:45 "The political butterfly effect' asking 'Did the Vietnam War break America's food system. The political policies which lead to the introduction of high fructose corn syrup and all the processed highly addictive foodstuffs.

Or near food products.

Which IMHO was a major factor in the obesity crisis.

Bootcamp fighting back with LCHF

DarkCorner · 18/01/2022 13:27

So sorry for your tough time @ilovecherries Flowers. You definitely deserve some fresh flowers as a treat and well done for getting back on the LCing.

I'm struggling with drinking water as always but have picked up some good tips on here and I'm going to grab a glass now.

Also finding it really useful seeing what others are eating. I started (gently!) last week and lost 3 lbs so happy with that as I was still having the odd glass of wine. I made the moussaka that I think BIWI posted and it was absolutely amazing.

My planned meals for today are:
B - none (long term IFer)
L - big salad with chorizo and feta and an oily vinaigrette
D - Thai red curry made from a kit (6.3 g carbs apparently for 1/2 the pack), chicken thighs. I'll have it with broccoli, courgettes and put some mushrooms in.

I bought a pair of navy leather look trousers that were in the sale and they are just a leeeeetle too tight so I'm hoping I might fit into them in a couple of weeks Grin.

Fleecy · 18/01/2022 13:27

Flowers for @ilovecherries

B: two scrambled eggs, a rasher of bacon and some tomatoes and spring onions, all done in butter with a splash of cream
L: tomato and mozzarella salad, greek yogurt with cream
D: roast chicken with broccoli, cauliflower and sprouts in butter
S: salami and cheese

Rshard · 18/01/2022 13:45

Sorry you’ve had such a tough time ilovecherries, glad to see you back here Flowers

AllTheBlackCoffee · 18/01/2022 13:58
**@AllTheBlackCoffee* and @CeleriacOfTheNight*

Why no breakfast? If you're long-term low carbers this is fine - but if not, you really do need to have breakfast in these first two weeks.
Am a long term IFer and am on week 3 of bootcamp as I started on Jan 1. Sorry @BIWI but hopefully enough to avoid a whack with the stick!!

BIWI · 18/01/2022 14:25

You're forgiven @AllTheBlackCoffee!

DollyDingleberry · 18/01/2022 14:34

@ilovecherries

I remember you well, Dolly! Along with Ragz you convinced me it was doable as I remember you’d lost something like 21lbs in your first BC. I didn’t really believe it was possible, then I did exactly the same!
Thank you for reminding me of that I’d forgotten how fast the weight peeled off in the beginning! Grin

Aaah it’s like a 2017 reunion - so glad you’re back. There was a few of us that lost loads that year. Hopefully we can repeat it now!

ShangPie · 18/01/2022 14:41

Just had my first bag of M&S serrano ham crisps. How did I not know about these before?! And @StuntNun you say these can be recreated in my microwave? Mind truly blown! Will find a recipe and get nuking.

Lots of salty lemon water today and much less thirsty / headachy. Have some magnesium spray I’ll do after the bath, and Lo Salt is coming in the shop tomorrow for added potassium - thanks @BIWI for the tip.

Question - are cherry tomatoes ok? They are my go-to salad item, but I wonder if they’re too sweet for the first two weeks of recalibration. Before the Big Stick comes out I still haven’t got into the spreadsheet Blush - toddler finds it hilarious to slam my laptop shut whenever I try to do anything useful.

DollyDingleberry · 18/01/2022 14:45

This was lunch and if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be this. Chicken tikka and veggie kebabs done in the instant pot air fryer, ff yoghurt mint dressing and salad cut up like they do at the takeaway with plenty of olive oil.

Also look at my ridiculous new bottle Grin it’s 4 litres and bigger than my head!
