Jan '20 - Week 6 Low Carb Bootcamp - Stay on track!

We're in to week 6 and there's still plenty of time for the scales to drop before the end of Bootcamp. Remind yourself of the ten rules and add your weigh-in to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness. How was last week for you?

Morning please could somebody kindly add my new weight - 120.5 lbs.

It’s been an amazing week weight loss wise. After a 3 week stall the scales are going in the right direction.

Thank you everyone for your encouragement, wise words and recipes! It’s definitely kept me going. This is the first time I’ve ever done this and I’m actually enjoying it.

Good luck everyone.

RobinHobb · 17/02/2020 07:04

I'm back today
Baby had been unwell which threw me, and then I was unwell which threw me a little. I cheated a bit as on antibiotics and everything was making me queasy. But at last weight in before the cheating I had gotten to 2/3 of way to target goal so going to stay with it now. Just a few kg to go!

moleeye · 17/02/2020 07:53

+10oz due to TOTM

Didn't cave and eat all the stuff I wanted but I may have had way too much double and clotted cream over the past 48 hours as compensation.

Hoping it's water retention and bloat and the scales continue to go in the right direction next week 🤞🏼🤞🏼

moleeye · 17/02/2020 07:55

@PinkSubscriber all done!

BrassicaBabe · 17/02/2020 08:00

I'm reporting a 1lb loss as I saw it Saturday and Sunday. It's back today Hmm But this is the week of UberBC for me!

glittercandle · 17/02/2020 08:20

2.6lbs gone for me, total of 17.6lbs so far this boot camp.
I was so hungry on Saturday, I ate loads (all low carb) - my period started yesterday which explained why I felt like that!

waspfig · 17/02/2020 08:21

2lb off for me after sts for a couple of weeks.

I didn't do well over the weekend at family meal so I'm happy to have lost at all this week.

Plan to be super strict for a couple of days and get out and about with kids over half term.

Good luck with the weigh ins everyone!

Rayna37 · 17/02/2020 08:29

1lb off for me weighing in at an aesthetically pleasing 123.4lbs! I was 1lb less than this for 3 days last week so it's all going well. Less eating between meals and some IF.

3.5lbs to target which is a BMI of about 21. Very small frame so don't carry any weight well!

Checking in while eating a LEON breakfast box, no beans extra avocado. Two hotel nights this week and lots of driving, but no lunches to dodge so should be fine. A big family weekend away looming which will be harder though and limited opportunities for exercise other than hotel room yoga.

Rshard · 17/02/2020 08:40

1lb off for me this week, happy with that. Long and boring weekend at a swimming gala with dd so had to talk myself out of bad choices on a number of occasions!

Well done to all you losers and thanks to stuntnun for the new thread.

venusandmars · 17/02/2020 08:59

Good to see the scales going in the right direction for so many. I seem to be in a big stall (not really moved much for about 4 months) but life has been weird and hectic and has thrown lot of curve balls in my direction. KOKO as best I can but I've been away so much, and its been difficult to get into a regular pattern and routine.

Returned from holiday late last night, and off to run a training course for the next 4 days.

STS this week (despite the difficult food choices on holiday, and wine). And another challenging 4 days ahead at a lovely rural retreat centre with wonderful home grown organic veg, but mostly a vegetarian set of meals with lentils, beans etc. Will stock up on avocados for breakfast and take yogurt / cream / raspberries for when others are tucking into delicious puddings and home-made cake. I don't actually want pudding or cake, but I don't want to feel deprived. There are also breaks mid-morning, mid-afternoon and 'supper' after the evening session. It is tempting to snack, even though I don't need / want it, and even if I have a boot-camp friendly snack, it's just something I wouldn't normally think about. I may just go to my room at those points to avoid the mindless hand-in-the-bowl-of nuts action.

B - scrambled eggs, smoked salmon
L - mushrooms, spinach, chicken
D - snacks: avocado, something from M&S, yogurt with cream

Water, water, water

Teapotdespot · 17/02/2020 09:21

Morning all,

I was a bit of a carby twat last night and looking back over the week, I’ve had a fair bit of carb creep so I’ve decided to not weigh myself for a few days for my own sanity.

I’m going back to strict boot camp for the week this week to give myself a bit of a head wobble and to get back on track.

Photo is the final result of popped cheese Grin they taste exactly like mini cheddars and they’re kind of crunchy/ crispy. The cheddar worked fine, but the Red Leicester and double Gloucester kind of just melted and went a bit odd once I tried popping it, I’m trying Edam and gouda next Grin

STS. Motivation low but Monday has started out okay. Well done everyone with the losses and NSVs.

TheClitterati · 17/02/2020 09:56

1 kilo on this moring - but not at all worried as I'm learning how wildly my body weight fluctuates.

I am noticing my below the boob shelf of belly fat is very slowly going the way of the Artic ice, and shrinking.

I had a wonderfuk, entirely unexpected weekend after getting stranded in London Friday night (signal failures) - so impromptu banquet/party at a friends and the rest of the weekend kind of flowed from there. So quite a lot of wine. Yesterday I was out for lunch and although it was gluten free, it was a lovely carb fest - so first white carbs were consumed - not too much. Later in the evening all the cravings came - and I had too much greek yog & nuts.

Back on the wagon now.

TheClitterati · 17/02/2020 10:19

loving Carby twat Grin
I too was a bit of a carby twat yesterday

CheddarGorgeous · 17/02/2020 10:44

I'm a binge carber rather than a consistent carber. Best to abstain totally rather than expect to be able to moderate. Fully expecting to pay for that this week.

waspfig · 17/02/2020 10:52

Me too for the carby twat club! Spag Bol and garlic bread and curry with naan bread are NOT boot camp Blush

bibliomania · 17/02/2020 10:53

Too much wine over the past week. I'm going to knock it on the head for at least the next week.

Lionsleepstonight · 17/02/2020 10:54

Please can my weight of 175lb be added please. 9lb off and very pleased. Slow, but am enjoying the WOE so do not feel denied in the slightest. More than happy to tick along. I'm in the 50+ age range so any weight loss is slow these days.

BIWI · 17/02/2020 11:03

Here you all are!

Morning all. Hope Storm Dennis hasn't affected anyone. I apologise to you all, as it seems it's all my fault. We're having the outside of our house painted, so obviously the weather wasn't going to play ball Grin

prettybird · 17/02/2020 11:59

I'm going to weigh in tomorrow. Need to drink plenty of water today after the wine over the weekend. Blush

GuyMartinsSideburns · 17/02/2020 12:38

I’ll weigh next week too, I’ve had a crap week and it all reflects on me food wise, I stop caring about myself or putting the time in etc. Today im out getting as much fresh air and sunshine as possible and trying not to beat myself up about it. Once im back self caring again then everything usually falls into place.

I’m cooking a low carb moussaka when I get home, looking forward to that Smile Have a great week everyone

rodez · 17/02/2020 12:41

Monday greetings all

Not joining the carby twat club (yet - holiday starts next week... can I be on the reserve list in anticipation Blush), but enjoyed first alcohol of the year, fizz on valentines night and wow straight to my head! Probably not drinking enough water consistently at weekends but happy to report another 0.8 of a kg gone nonetheless and will update on any NSVs (thinking positively) after I have a trying on/crying session packing to see what summer clothes I can get into again. In this for the long haul though. KOKO all!

Thing101 · 17/02/2020 12:53

Hello, is it too late to join?! Ha e done bootcamp before with success but now seem to have been caught by menopause as weight is creeping up on me. I feel terrible and disgusted.
Starting today and particularly interested in how I manage to eat mindfully. I have a real problem with unconscious grazing!!
Thanks Grin

ShagMeRiggins · 17/02/2020 13:12

Haven’t caught up with full thread but wanted to say glittercandle you’re doing a fab job!!

glittercandle · 17/02/2020 13:33

Thank you so much shag.

A few days after starting boot camp I booked a holiday to Vegas for October - I really don’t want to be on a long haul flight while weighing 300lbs (or even more...). It’s a great motivator, I also have a lovely wardrobe of size 14/16 clothes that I would love to fit into again.
