We're in to week 6 and there's still plenty of time for the scales to drop before the end of Bootcamp. Remind yourself of the ten rules and add your weigh-in to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness. How was last week for you?

absopugginglutely · 18/02/2020 07:59

Exotically? Lol auto correct!!

Doilooklikeatourist · 18/02/2020 08:13

I did weigh in this morning , and weight has been put on , however I’m still down on my start weight , so not all bad
I’ve looked on the spread sheet , and am interested in Ubercamp has anyone done it ? , is it just a 3 day thing ? Looks interesting
I’m hoping to get to the cinema this afternoon ,,to see Emma ( that will make it 3 weeks in a row of getting to see a film 😀 Little Women , Loved the costumes and scenery , 1917 . I cried )
My plan
B eggs and mushrooms
L avocado and smoked salmon salad
D broccoli carbonara ( which I will make up as I go )
Water , water , water and maybe treat myself to a Costa coffee ( Americano ) at the pictures
Another one who’s glad we’re only halfway through @venusandmars, I’m hoping to see the 10s by the end

waspfig · 18/02/2020 08:55

@Doilooklikeatourist I don't think you'll be disappointed with Emma. I went last week and chuckled all the way through.

Water water water is my priority today.

B smoked salmon avocado mozzarella tea with milk
L tea with milk, maybe cucumber with pate
D cod and chorizo with courgettes and green veg

whitershadeofpale · 18/02/2020 09:06

Thanks @BIWI I know I was being totally unreasonable really, just wanted to be accountable and share how I feel.

I made some hard boiled eggs last night but am not hungry this morning so I'll have them for lunch with salad and mayo. Going out later so a quick dinner first of gammon, fried eggs and a small amount of sauerkraut.

BIWI · 18/02/2020 09:42

@whitershadeofpale

We're all allowed to be unreasonable from time to time here! Grin

Sharing and accountability is exactly what these threads are for, so please don't stop doing that.

Almahart · 18/02/2020 12:16

@Doilooklikeatourist ubercamp is great. I’ve used it before to break a stall and it worked for me. Tasty food, easy to do. Didn’t feel particularly more restrictive than normal bc

Had a delicious lunch of toasted lc rye bread (Ocado, I think 3.8 carbs per slice) with a ton of lurpak and a whole avocado on top with lemon juice and salt. So good as an occasional treat

Rshard · 18/02/2020 12:24

Which bread is that alma? Could you post a picture or the name of it please. Love avo on toast!

Almahart · 18/02/2020 13:33

Here you go! There are quite a few lc bread options on ocado

Thanks alma

prettybird · 18/02/2020 18:03

How's this for a HFLC top up shop? Grin(Needed to go to Sainsbury's to get Darjeeling loose tea but there seems to be another shortage of it, so just got the Earl Grey we usually mix with it but already had two boxes in the cupboard )

Another day on the road, not perfect but not too bad:
2 Eggs, 2 bacon, sausage, mushrooms, half a tomato and none of the carby twat buffet
Pot of nuts
Lunch from Leon: chicken nuggets, slaw and mayo.
Cheese crusted 2egg omelette with mushrooms for dinner.
Got my water in too. Office tomorrow then more driving and dinner somewhere probably a chain at a mall before staying in Fawlty Towers at the seaside.

Doilooklikeatourist · 18/02/2020 19:56

@waspfig, you’re right ! Loved the film ( and I want to live in her house )
@Almahart, I’ll keep to the straight and narrow til Monday , hope for a decent loss , and if no luck will give Ubercamp a go

ShagMeRiggins · 18/02/2020 21:23

prettybird you seem to be planning a lot of snacks. Don’t mean to offend you, but my word that’s a lot of pork crunches.

ShagMeRiggins · 18/02/2020 21:31

I’m eating more lately, in a good way as I wasn’t eating much at all for a while. A friend pointed out that while she understands the emotional loss of appetite she didn’t see the point in not nurturing myself. It was a good point.

whitershade I’m still going to get back to you re shape and style etc but I loved reading your post about all the good things about you (hair, smile, etc).

I’m currently engrossed in another Mumsnet thread while sharing a home with only teenage boys during half term. Teenage boys particularly remind me of toddlers—absolutely charming and adorable, but so fucking annoying and ungrateful. It’s a balance. At least they usually do household chores when asked, unlike a toddler. Grin

Tonight’s dinner is coq au vin with mushrooms (more!) and spinach in butter. It is delicious, and I’m persevering with my last litre of water.

prettybird · 18/02/2020 21:33

It was the entire stock at the Darnley Sainsbury Blush shagmeriggins

I don't go to Sainsbury's that often so I'm planning on that lasting me at least 3 weeks! I've also got an idea about using them as a substitute for breadcrumbs by blitzing them in the food processor.

prettybird · 18/02/2020 21:42

This was my supper (or a third of it was) tonight: shepherds pie made from a small amount of left over roast lamb, 3 lots of lamb jus from the freezer, a sofrito made from blitzed shallots, a leek, home grown carrots, a couple of cubes of chopped spinach, a can of tomatoes and some Worcester sauce, topped with microwaved cauliflower blitzed with an egg, Parmesan and most of a Lidl tub of cream cheese. Then baked/grilled. Yummy.

I'm still in stall mode. Planned UberBC but lack of planning has meant a serious tweak.
L: john west chilli infusion tuna tin with a tin of mackerel
D: coop beef burger and a slug of mayo (it was a beast of a burger)
(yep. No FLGV. I know)

1038 cals. 5g carbs. 77g fat. 78g protein

5k run and a 3k rowing machine session.

Running is v slow at the moment but 5k is 5k. Love the fact that with LC I can run fasted. No need for stuffing with bananas etc.

While today's menu wasn't planned and I wasn't hungry. I think. Work was busy. I think the plan has to be cautious with the cals and upping my recent exercise which has definitely slipped.

Almahart · 19/02/2020 08:27

On a roll here. My body seems to be cruising down to the weight at which I stall which is 10’8, but that is actually not a bad weight for me, my ideal would be 10’4. Bf today ff yog and berries, lunch will be cauli cheese

BrassicaBabe · 19/02/2020 08:48

I've seen the scales twitch!

prettybird · 19/02/2020 08:49

....hopefully in the right direction Smile

CheddarGorgeous · 19/02/2020 09:35

I'm back down again to 126.5. Wednesday is consistently my lightest day of the week, not sure why!!

I've not lost much weight overall but am pleased with some of the changes I've made.

Good breakfasts and lunches.
Very little/no unhealthy snacking at work.
Hardly any alcohol.
Good meal planning and prep.
A lot more vegetables in my diet.
Hitting my water target on week days.

Work still to be done:

Sugar addiction still feels pretty strong.
Better choices while eating out.
Eating crap as a result of emotions/stress.
Portion sizes of snacks like nuts.
Drinking water at weekends.

ShagMeRiggins · 19/02/2020 09:51

That’s how we are when we visit France and load up on the Noirmoutier salted butter to bring back with us. It’s not an exaggeration to say 20-30 packs of butter in the trolley. The looks we get!

Rshard · 19/02/2020 10:19

Loving the bulk buying of low carb products!

whitershadeofpale · 19/02/2020 10:31

Thank you @ShagMeRiggins. I actually went massively off plan yesterday. The reason that I was having a quick dinner last night was that I was due to meet friends later for a quiz. I then got a call saying that my dear friend and mentor had died.

Her DP is broken and wanted people around him, so a group of us all met in a local beer house, so I had 4pts of cider and then someone ordered pizza late in the night.

There were lots of tears, lots of laughter. It wasn't great in terms of weight loss, but frankly I don't care. It was the right thing at the time and today I'm hungover, dazed, swollen eyed-but back on the LCHF way of life.
