Morning all!

I love this week. It's my favourite week of the whole Bootcamp, because it's when people are finally convinced that it works!

And already I see some great losses - yes @TightPants that really can be true. No your scales aren't wrong, and presumably you'll be changing your name very soon?!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness to record the first week's loss.

Looking forward to hearing more great results Flowers

5.2 lbs down for me! Happy bunny here. Well done everyone

MumOfAPickle · 22/10/2018 11:04

Morning all. 3lbs down for me which I’m very pleased with. I do love this woe and am cross with myself for falling so far off the wagon in the summer. Had some lovely food over the weekend including chicken curry and roast pork yesterday with celeriac instead of roast pots. Also made the most delicious cauliflower cheese for lunch yesterday and I’ve got the other half for lunch today which I’m really looking forward to.

Had eggs, mushrooms and sliced sautéed sprouts this morning as I’m off all week for half term. Have spent all weekend clearing the spare room for my daughter (my dc’s currently share) and now have to spend the next few days painting it 🙄 man it’s dull....

MumOfAPickle · 22/10/2018 11:05

Well done to everyone on losses and just keep at it to those who didn’t x

Liveinthepresent Costa will do you an Americano with double cream (they know it as 'pouring cream', ask for that or you'll get the dreaded sugary squirty cream), I often get one in my own cup which is cheaper too. It's not food but the cream does keep me going.

Everdeenstaken · 22/10/2018 11:07

Yay! 4lbs lighter this week! I've been strict apart from not drinking enough water so
I'm really going to work on that. I have a few days trips out with the kids planned this half-term week so I will need to be organised and disciplined, but I'm feeling motivated to stick with this. Well done everyone!

starsky22 · 22/10/2018 11:32

Well done on all the losses! Some cracking results!

I'm 4 lbs down, so really pleased and planning lots of yummy low carb meals for this week!

Wildheartsease · 22/10/2018 11:37

6lb loss - amazing and unexpected even though I did take part in the last bootcamp.
:) :) :)
I felt quite bloated and heavy this week, so wasn't expecting much. of a loss. However, thinking things over now, it does occur to me that I did notice that my yoga leggings kept sliding down on Wed, and had this idea that my jeans had stretched.

I am following rules except that I have wine at weekends.

I'm very happy to be back in 'one-derland' (out of the 200s. )

Thank-you so very much for running this BIWI and the team!

Livinglavidal0ca · 22/10/2018 11:42

I think I'm going to join if that's okay. I usually calorie count and it worked amazingly for me, until I stopped breastfeeding and I've lost no weight since April despite sticking to 1200 Cal's a day. Only a few "cheat" days so I've really no idea what's happened to my body and think I need to try something new.
I must admit I am sceptical of low carbing, a friend that did it found himself craving sweets so maybe a lack of sugar. But I'm willing to give it a go and am very disciplined with my food so I'm hoping I'll see results.

EwanHoozami · 22/10/2018 11:51

Chesterfield regarding your three words, what have you been eating? It might be the increase in fat. Erm, how orange exactly..?

EwanHoozami · 22/10/2018 11:55

Welcome on board Livinglavida I promise that sweet cravings do go quite quickly. And that's coming from a former sugar fiend. This way of eating will change your taste buds for the better!

Iamnotacerealkiller · 22/10/2018 11:56

Whoever mention egg fried couliflour rice on the last thread is a genius and I love you!

Just had brunch of Prawns bokchoi and said coulirice with garlic and soy. Lovely may use it to develop some sushi things at some point

Also waiting on an order of phyllum husk to work on recipes for after the first two weeks. Looking at Parmesan crisps that I can store without them breaking.

ClashCityRocker · 22/10/2018 11:58

Some great losses!

5lb down here, happy with that particularly as just back from a weekend away.

Iamnotacerealkiller · 22/10/2018 11:59

@Chesterfield

I had a disturbing 'ghost' poo last bc. I'm guessing too much fat/dairy. I image if you had that plus lots of red food you would get orange poo. You should adjust to the higher fat.

EwanHoozami · 22/10/2018 12:01

Not weighing today as it's period day one and I am all swollen and grumpy.

Yesterday's food:

B - cream cheese pancake
L - picky bits of chicken and salami
D - mushroom, spring onion, kale and asparagus in broth with konjac noodles made with coconut oil

Justmuddlingalong · 22/10/2018 12:20

I've crept up 4lb since the last bootcamp, so signed up again for this one. 3 lbs down this week so only 1 to go. I'll be at my target of 9.5st after originally starting at a squeek off 11st at the start of my first bootcamp. I know this WOE works, if it's followed. I know I can go off plan for holidays and special occasions, but I also know that I can jump back on the wagon when I need to. Well done to everyone who's lost or STS. And to those who're struggling a bit, if you follow all the great advice and tips on here, you will lose weight. No ifs or buts. All the help needed is provided, please take the opportunity and you will see results.
Have a great week everyone.

bibliomania · 22/10/2018 12:40

cerealkiller, I accept your love.

bluelefant · 22/10/2018 12:45

@Chesterfieldsofa Yep,poop a bit orange but I was putting it down to drinking at least 3-4 big cups of redbush tea a day...
Apparently it's meant to help slimming if you drink 6 cups of the sfuff daily but I can manage 4 maximum even though I love the taste.

Spiderkitty · 22/10/2018 12:54

Well done everyone on their losses this week!

I'm 4.8 lbs down, really pleased as I didn't lose anything for the first 4 days so I was getting worried!

B: Coffee with cream
L: Octopus carpaccio with rocket, cucumber and olive oil
S: Pate and celery
D: Roast pork, sprouts, mashed swede and broccoli

prettybird · 22/10/2018 12:55

@athelstanetheunready - there is an error in the SoF, in the conversion tab. The conversion from stone to pounds doesn't include adding the pounds Confused

I'm delighted to report having lost 3.5lb Smile I've been doing this a long time, plus, although I'd fallen off the wagon slightly in the last few weeks, had already re-started(ish) the week before Boot Camp started.

So, only 2lb to go to get under 11st 7lb and to 3.5 stone off since I started in May 2017. And only 3.5lb to go until I am back where I got to at the end of the last Boot Camp.

I'm hoping to be over a stone lighter at Christmas than I was last Christmas ShockGrin (which in itself would be a 4 stone drop from my heaviest). Smile

JadziaSnax · 22/10/2018 13:11

I've lost 5 lbs! Still a long way to go and I imagine that a lot of it is water loss but it's still a very encouraging start.

My energy level has increased slightly and I'm definitely sleeping better too.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 22/10/2018 13:26

cheers, pretty - put it back in again!

Bananasinpyjamas11 · 22/10/2018 13:27

Only 1lb! However I’m pleased as I’m not being 100% and am doing a bit of a low carb lite - as in very low carbs but not totally gone.

Very impressed with everyone else!

Onlyaprawn · 22/10/2018 13:37

Having tried and failed (miserably) to shift any weight on a calorie counting diet I am absolutely thrilled with my loss this week! Thank you all - I've been a lurker but am really grateful for all the ideas people have posted and the positivity. On to week 2!

KNpepper · 22/10/2018 13:43

Afternoon all - Week 1 loss of 2.5 lbs which I’m pleased with as I have been lc for a few months now and also had been on a 3 week stall which was getting quite boring.

Congrats to all the weight losses. Some very impressive results!

Thanks to all those with responses to my questions about combining this way of eating with exercise. I managed to run 5k 3 days in a row which was a massive personal accomplishment for me having done almost no exercise in the past 2 years and only started running 6 weeks ago. Weight loss and endorphins combo mean I feel great though I still need to lose another 2 stone.

@iamnotacerealkiller I have found caulk rice with some cream cheese mixed in with a dash of mirin is a good substitute for sushi rice. A friend had us round for make your own sushi and I took this along so I wasn’t completely antisocial in eating all the fish on its own
