Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness.

We've reached the half way part now, and I hope you're finding it a bit easier - no more carb flu, and getting used to a different way of eating.

If you've suffered from the week 3, 4 or even 5 stall, I hope that this week you'll see the scales start to move (downwards!) again.

I hope you all have a good week

world I use a whole stock cube in a mug.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 14/02/2018 07:00

I am pleased to report that after 10 days, and no more cherries, I finally shifted some weigh and am down 3lb! Hurrah!

Might have spoilt that a bit by having Valentine's Day glass of fizz with my lunch out, followed by an Irish coffee... but no other carbs. Duck with broccolini and green beans, no spuds; and no dessert or starter.

AND I went swimming - although I'm wildly unfit and only managed 6 lengths before I decided I was getting hotter than before I got in the pool (counterproductive - it was 40 deg today in my part of NSW) - ao am hoping for better things tomorrow!

headoutofthesand · 14/02/2018 07:30

Day three of being 146.4 exactly. How??!!! How can I weigh exactly the same for three days in a row? I am not sure this has ever happened in the 20yrs or so of me being a daily weigher.
Dilemma - do I think "sod it" tonight & drink & have pudding or do I stick to Bootcamp?

Rshard · 14/02/2018 07:41

Superb swimming thumb!

Stick with boot camp head, koko and you’ll see a loss on the scales! What nsv’s gave you had?

headoutofthesand · 14/02/2018 07:44

Rshard here's the rub, no NSVs either. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm just eating too much.

Rshard · 14/02/2018 07:56

Why don’t you post what you eat for critique?

Are you sleeping better? Is your skin clearer?

VenusStarr · 14/02/2018 08:12

Morning all. Just checking in. I'm 3lb down from my original start weight (was 4 but it went back up) but I'm sticking with it.

The good news is since 1St Feb, one week after starting, I have lost 1 inch off my waist and 1.5 off my hips! Also lost an inch under my bust and round my bust (guess there has to be compromise somewhere Hmm So my wedding dress should fit, apparently it's ready so trying to book a date in to go back. Going to carry on with this and my exercise as although the scales aren't changing much, I feel better :)

VenusStarr · 14/02/2018 08:14

Ps I've had about 4 people commenting on how clear my skin is and asking what I've used :)

Almahart · 14/02/2018 08:14

Finally! Down a pound after three weeks of nothing. Had a small glass of wine last night and it wasn't all that. I hope I have reset my system as I was definitely drinking too much.

Might go and bag an M&S valentines dinner if all the LC options haven't sold out

EeeSheWasThin · 14/02/2018 08:36

head Stick with it!!

I did this for three weeks before Christmas and in spite of all the talk of whooshing at the start, I lost nothing. Not an ounce (my IBS was much better though). I was off the wagon over Christmas and new year, then got back on in earnest, and have since lost five pounds. So glad I hung on. You’ll get there. The more experienced folk here will help with what to eat.

Mimosa1 · 14/02/2018 09:03

Congratulations Alma - virtue rewarded!

TheWayOfTheWorld · 14/02/2018 09:09

head keep with it. I've posted a snapshot of my daily weigh ins over the last month - I am up, down, the same, up, down etc but the overall trend is down. I've also mentioned before that I was gaining for a couple of weeks on the last BC I did but then in the last 3 weeks had loads of whooshes.

Fight the Fuck Its! Grin

Stand back for a millisecond and think about how daft your second sentence is! You want to lose weight, but you're also considering going off-piste.

All that you will do there is guarantee that you won't lose weight - worse, you may see a gain.

This WOE works - but only if you stick with it.

Happy Valentine's Day, all!

Congratulations to those who are seeing scale and non-scale victories and, for the rest of us, keep on keeping on! We'll get there in the end.

SoMuchToBits · 14/02/2018 09:28

Twoo, I had a crocheted tank top like that when I was about 13! My older sister made it. Grin

I won't be celebrating Valentine's Day, as I'm divorced and no sign of a relationship! Grin But I guess that will save me money and not tempt me to eat chocolate/drink bubbly!

Not sure what lunch will be yet, it depends what time ds (aged 17) gets up. Dinner will probably be salmon in some form after the fish man has called this afternoon.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 14/02/2018 09:48

Finally got my fry-up last night! Good thing too, as I'm full of the cold and so I could just lounge whilst DP cooked. Have been really spoilt the last few days as I haven't cooked since Friday night.

Beryl - don't worry, the only meal DP cooks is Sunday Morning's fry-up, which was only postponed due to us going out for Sunday Dinner at friends', which they served at lunchtime and not in our usual evening slot. If he hadn't been so determined that that's what was happening Monday night instead I'd have got started on something else. Thanks for the advice, though, and not telling me off. I appreciate it!

TheWayOfTheWorld · 14/02/2018 10:54

Thank you for tips on stock cubes, I've added some to my online shop Smile

TheWayOfTheWorld · 14/02/2018 10:55

By the way, has anyone found a nice dark chocolate of 80% or more? I must confess I am struggling a bit; I used to get a lovely one that was called Malagasy but they stopped making it and I became bereft Sad

Kleptronic · 14/02/2018 11:11

Yesterday's meals:

B: 2 eggs scrambled in butter, 2 rashers of bacon
L: Home made chicken soup with vegetables, shallot, leek, swede, carrot , veg sweated in olive oil (no cornflour, home made chicken stock, 1 knorr veg stockpot)
D: Chicken thigh with Lidl Edamme bean stir fry veg and olive oil
S: gouda and salami, 1 slice each

AthelstaneTheUnready · 14/02/2018 11:27

2lbs! 2lbs!!!!!!

I am 2lbs down this morning!

Head, I have weighed EXACTLY the same for the last 28 days in a row. Exactly the same. Not deviating by so much as a quarter of a lb. And today I am 2lbs down .

AND I did 14 (knee) push ups this morning, more than ever before. I'm unstoppable today Grin

AthelstaneTheUnready · 14/02/2018 11:29

TheWay, I didn't get on with the over 80% Lindt ones at all, they tasted grim to me. But there's a Montezuma 100% that was just gloriously rich tasting. It's sitting in the fridge waiting for me to get closer to goal...

BrassicaBabe · 14/02/2018 11:36

Althelstane Fab news. Such a good feeling eh

What are folks planning for Valentines dinner? I've got some steak. Will do roast pots for DH. Thought about doing that oh so lovely cauli cheese. But that amount of dairy makes me put on the lbs!

TerfsUp · 14/02/2018 11:51

Congrats, Athelstane!

I'm divorced and not seeing anyone, so Valentine's Day dinner will be pretty much as it was yesterday - roasted courgettes, cauliflower and broccoli.

However! I look forward to hearing about everyone else's romantic dinners.

blackteaplease · 14/02/2018 11:56

Me and my PIL are having chicken curry tonight. I may do a late Valentine's dinner at the weekend if I can be bothered.

blackteaplease · 14/02/2018 12:06

Just seen your loss finally Athelstane well done!
