Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness.

We've reached the half way part now, and I hope you're finding it a bit easier - no more carb flu, and getting used to a different way of eating.

If you've suffered from the week 3, 4 or even 5 stall, I hope that this week you'll see the scales start to move (downwards!) again.

I hope you all have a good week

Morning all - I'm exactly the same this week, was so hoping to be into the nines...

I won't let it dishearten me though.

@BIWI - yes, you certainly did tell me about the cherries! I think the problem this time was I was using them as a "go-to" snack as well as just a one-off dessert dish, so was eating far more of them on a daily basis Blush
Changed now to raspberries and blackberries (which, luckily, are in season at the moment down here) which aren't anywhere near as nice but are in the "green zone" for carbs.

Might have to freeze the kilo or so of cherries I bought though - don't want them going to waste! Grin

So we'll see how I go.

Today I went to see The Greatest Showman and did not have any snacks in the cinema; I had a green tea prior and a smoked salmon salad for lunch after.

For dinner I had mince thing with konjac spaghetti, followed by a bowl of raspberries and blackberries with double cream.

Definitely not enough water today but will work on that - possibly only just 2L, not the 3L min I should be doing.

I rather liked SchrodingersFrilledLizard Wink although I've just copied and pasted so you perhaps have a point....

Sts this week which isn't a huge surprise as I fell off the wagon at the weekend when I was seeing a group of girl friends for the first time in years - got too excited to diet.

Also having a shocker of a time with dh but am determined not to fall into carbs because of that. In fact now that the blip of the weekend's fun is over I have actually lost my appetite completely.

Managed a very small portion of berries and yog this morning - put most of it back in the fridge to have tomorrow.

Total loss since start of bootcamp stands at 11lbs. Really chuffed!

Must keep on with the water though- i'm really annoying myself as i get to teatime and realise i've had about a pint all day, especially if i'm out a lot. Not good enough.

Eee please don't let it! Smile

In fact, last time I lost 7.2lb in the last 4 weeks after lots of yo-yoing. I think ilovecherries has posted her weight loss graph before and it has lots of peaks and troughhs,

I weighed early, on Saturday. I was 93.2kg, and was 96 at the start of Jan, so 3 kg off this boot camp so far (and over 6kg, exactly a stone, since I started in November).

I would really like to lose another 3 kg so I am 90kg by the time I go skiing at the end of March. My knees will thank me. That's my first major interim goal.

Aunt do you have a water bottle you can take with you? I have a 800ml one and try to get through 2 by the end of lunchtime, another one in the afternoon and another one in the evening.

Down to 168.8lbs, so 3.6lb loss on last week (but that was a gain after a 4 day carb binge). Would have been a bigger loss but I had bread and biscuits yesterday after being perfectly LC all week.
I have to food shop today, so will do better with planning this week.

2lb up for me, but I've been yoyoing all over the place due to illness over the last couple of weeks. I think half my problem is motivation, I'm not particularly bothered if I don't lose in any given week, so long as the longer term trend is downwards. Unlike some of the rest of you I don't seem to suffer any ill effects if I sneak a few carbs either so no real deterrent there either. Where I am doing OK is sweet stuff and alcohol, I haven't had a drop of alcohol since New Year and don't miss it at all, I miss citrus fruit and may have eaten the odd satsuma but not sweet stuff generally. I'm doing far better than I would have anticipated with losing the milk from tea and coffee too, so it's not all doom and gloom.

I just entered in my weight and I'm back up a couple pounds from a few weeks ago which was when I went away to France and ate a lot of things.

I'm struggling with meal planning and just feeling inspired to eat good things.

B/L - I just ate FF Fage Greek yoghurt with blueberries, chia seeds and cinnamon.

2pm Lunch - low carb meaty lasagna (uses aubergine instead of noodles)

D - I'm going to make ham and cauliflower soup www.ibreatheimhungry.com/cauliflower-leftover-ham-soup-low-carb/. The stock has been going over night and it smells good. I'll head out to buy cauliflower this afternoon.

Tonight I think I'll make a frittata to have for breakfasts this week. What are people making this week? I think I need some inspiration.

My menu this week includes:

  • courgetti (with simple tomato sauce and mozzarella and/or a carbonara)
  • celeriac risotto (bacon and asparagus)
  • chilli (no kidney beans) with cauliflower or celeriac rice
  • panfried chicken in a Parmesan crust with FLGV
  • probably steak with FLGV at some point too

Spiderkitty · 12/02/2018 11:47

My plan for this week is:

  • Courgette carbonara
  • Celeriac, chicken, feta and spinich bake
  • Moussaka
  • Pork stroganoff
  • Burgers
  • Something in the slow cooker with a duck that's in the freezer, maybe pulled duck might work?

Might try making some crustless quishes for lunch as I'm being over run by eggs now all the hens are laying again!

I've lost another pound this week, which is great after stalling all the way through January! My total loss now since early October is 16lb.

I'm not having any difficulty sticking to low carb, as I love the food so much, and don't miss most carby items. I was given a box of chocolate biscuits for Christmas by a neighbour (who doesn't know that I eat low carb). I have opened them and put them in the biscuit tin (for ds and any visitors). They are those M & S ones with lots of thick chocolate, which I used to love, but smelling them now, they smell really sweet and artificial and I'm not remotely tempted to have one. That has come as a real surprise!

Thank you for the new thread BIWI. Happy Monday Campers Grin

I’m all in a muddle with the spread sheet sof. Last week I posted about having changed scales to electronic which added 6lbs to my starting weight of 154, making it 160lbs. Someone really kindly changed the sof but only changed my starting weight. So it looks like I’ve lost 6lbs more than I have if that makes sense.

Today’s weight is 152.6lbs. So I think I’m down 0.4lbs since last week.

Could someone be so kind as to change my weight entries by 6lbs (except the 160 starting weight) please?

My antiquated iPad won’t allow me to change the sheet and also it won’t scroll straight so lose my way. Thank you in advance.

Today’s Menu:-

B - None as not hungry.
L - Sauerkraut. Coffee with cream.
D - Meat balls & FLGV. Grated cheese over the top.

I have not gone off plan and not a drop of alcohol has passed my lips. Feel much better in myself.

The past 3 to 4 years I used to wake with the most dreadful hangover type headache (not alcohol related). So bad were the headaches I was referred to a neurologist (did find something but not headache related). Nothing would shift them.

Now I’m v low carb, no headaches on waking. Anyone else this happen too?

Even if I don’t lose much more weight I will eat this way for ever just to be rid of the headaches. Bread and potatoes are not worth it Grin

Two off for me, although I find I am zigzagging every week, being at my lightest on a Friday and up again a bit over the weekend (wine, probably!)

Can I ask two quick questions please?

Do people avoid milk totally? I have three cups of tea a day and can’t forego the milk- does this matter?

I’m logging about 30-40g of carbs a day...is that too much?

Thanks

Had the celeriac soup of amazingness from the vegetarian recipe thread for lunch. It is well named and dead easy. Definitely making it again. Also made the cheese scones which were equally fabulous and easy.
