Morning all!

Here's the SoF once again

Hope that the scales are kind to you this morning.

So we enter the last three weeks. Still time to lose some significant weight. But only if you follow the rules!

It's a difficult time of the year, as Christmas goodies start to appear in the shops, and - I'm guessing - at work and at home as well!

You might find it easier to stay focused if you move back onto Bootcamp for the last two weeks, so you're really making sure that the carby stuff that you might have been indulging in - even if that has just been Bootcamp Light.

Yeah I feel very bloated and farty. Haven't felt like this at all before Sad

SoMuchToBits · 03/12/2017 20:33

My stomach's really settled on this WOE too. That's one reason why I'm going to try not to get off plan too much at Christmas. I enjoy feeling really well and not bloated!

I must admit I've relaxed a little this last week but only with careful consideration, so I have for example just eaten a cupcake made by DS but picked the smallest one and have been otherwise carb-free today. I tend to feel that I'd rather lose my weight very gradually but make long term changes as in the past whenever I've been too strict I've always rebounded. I have also noticed that eating the occasional carby thing does not seem to have any ill-effects or lead to massive binges, whereas banning them altogether makes them seem more desirable than ever. So maybe I'm not really cut-out for proper bootcamp, but I do think that if I can eat, consistently, about 95% less carby food than I used to I will be able to stick to it long term.

Oh god this is horrible. Never again! I've had a bit of truvia over the last few weeks but it didn't have this effect

prettybird · 03/12/2017 21:26

WhoKn0ws - seems like you, like me, are a "Moderator" rather than an "Abstainer" (search Gretchen Rubin for an explanation).

I'm looking forward to planning when I have my mince pie (note the singular Wink). I will truly appreciate it. Grin

ilovecherries · 03/12/2017 22:00

I fel your pain, Scabbers. I once ate a small packet of stevia-sweetened caramels from M&S. the results were urgent and embarrassing. And def not pretty :(.

LtheWife · 03/12/2017 22:20

Not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow! Lots of birthday celebrations over the last 8 days means I've had three meals out (two of which were three courses, the other a carvery) and two takeaways. On the positive side, one 3 course meal was entirely on plan and the other included a couple of tablespoons of rice of which I ate half and shared a small dessert and I skipped the potato and yorkshire pudding at the carvery.

On the not so positive side, one of the takeaways was pizza, I had a slice of birthday cake, a small mince pie at the local Christmas fayre and have probably had a bottle of wine over the course of the week.

Not sure I can call it a NSV, but the Christmas tree went up yesterday. Tradition going back to my childhood is to open the (first of too many during Christmas) tin of quality street. That tin is usually empty by bedtime Blush . Yesterday I had the grand total of 4 chocolates and the tin has happily gone back in the cupboard!

For a true NSV the weight loss has really started to help with my back pain to the point where I'm painkiller free most days for the first time this year. I've been almost completely out of action since January with the pain (hasn't helped with weight gain!), with doctors considering surgery as the next step if things didn't start to improve. So I'm absolutely thrilled to see such a huge improvement and it's great to be off the diazepam/tramadol etc and feel clear headed again!

Singadream · 04/12/2017 06:42

Major lapses this week (Christmas stuff) but just a 0.2kg gain. Back on it this week. Another four pounds or so before Christmas would be great

Rshard · 04/12/2017 07:04

Have been a bit awol over the weekend but have read the thread. My food
B - scrambled eggs
L - tuna salad may
D -

B - avo bacon
L - chicken salad may
D - bbq restaurant. I had the pulled pork but requested without extra sauce, swapped chips for a salad and had buttered greens. I wasn’t 100% sure about the pulled pork but felt skipping the bbq sauce was quite mindful! I left the slab of bread too so happy with my choice

SayrraT · 04/12/2017 07:13

blacktea I've spotted the problem with your data but I can't fix it on phone so I'll do it later.

Scabbersley · 04/12/2017 07:15

Delighted with a 3lb loss which brings me to bang on 12 stone. Saw lower earlier in the week! That's 12lb loss so far this BC. Really want to get down as low as possible before Xmas to give me some wriggle room.

Dd asked me last night how long I was going to be on this 'crazy diet' and I thought for a bit and said forever I think. On and off!

Thiswillbemyusername · 04/12/2017 07:24

Morning everyone!

Just weighed today and I'm back up a lb (I sort of expected it to be honest). No matter, I'll probably lose it again this week Smile

Thiswillbemyusername · 04/12/2017 07:25

Meant to add: good luck everyone! Flowers buy my daughter jumped on me

Thiswillbemyusername · 04/12/2017 07:25

But*

Gammeldragz · 04/12/2017 07:46

scabbers well done the 11s are in sight!

I'm up again this morning, so my loss during the week has vanished. I will see what tomorrow says, otherwise I'll take it, I know I'll see the low again in a few days. I did feel very bloated yesterday.

@LtheWife fantastic that you're able to drop the pain killers. A real victory (only 4 Quality St instead of the whole tin was pretty good too, but don't tell BIWI I said thatGrin)
