Morning all!

Here's the SoF once again

Hope that the scales are kind to you this morning.

So we enter the last three weeks. Still time to lose some significant weight. But only if you follow the rules!

It's a difficult time of the year, as Christmas goodies start to appear in the shops, and - I'm guessing - at work and at home as well!

You might find it easier to stay focused if you move back onto Bootcamp for the last two weeks, so you're really making sure that the carby stuff that you might have been indulging in - even if that has just been Bootcamp Light.

Another new low weight today, stall is definitely over. Finally posted on Facebook about my weight loss and received SE lovely comments, which was nice and will boost me through the tricky festive period. I keep forgetting how far I've come as I still feel fat!
Night out tonight, I still have rotten cold and wondering just how much make up I'm going to need to cover up how crap I look/feel!
I'll post my outfit later as it's a brave one for me, never worn a strapless sparkly playsuit before!

Gammeldragz · 02/12/2017 10:36

Some not SE!

blackteaplease · 02/12/2017 10:45

Brassica they may do chicken or sausages. Most chippy takeaways would have them so I would expect a basic fish and chip restaurant to offer them too.

SoMuchToBits · 02/12/2017 10:48

Great photos, Gail, you look so different!

I don't seem to be losing much atm, but at least I'm not gaining.

Yesterday's food was mozzarella and avocado salad (lunch) and salmon in garlic cream sauce with buttered courgettes and broccoli (dinner).

I was given a box of chocolates on Wednesday (belated birthday gift from someone who doesn't know I'm doing low carb), and I have been quite happily sitting with ds in the evenings watching him munching his way through them! I haven't felt tempted to eat them at all.

Today I'll be having bacon, eggs, mushrooms, spinach, tomato for lunch, and moussaka plus some other veg for dinner.

ilovecherries · 02/12/2017 11:44

Gail, you look fabulous. Ragz, well done! Hope you manage to enjoy yourself tonight. Hate the noro and cold dodging of the ringer months. Time, you are doing great! Lots of congratulations all round. I've been for a run, husband arrived home (his flight was cancelled last night), just s out to have chilli burritos with egg pancakes rather than wrappy things.

Rshard · 02/12/2017 12:26

Fantastic time
Nice on ragz, def post a pic of your outfit
We’ll done for avoiding the chocolate somuch!
Nice morning for a run ilove, I was dragged shopping by dd but will try and get out later

SayrraT · 02/12/2017 15:03

Totally not BC but I just need to tell you all my achievement today! I just did my first ever clear round* in a show jumping competition with my horse Grin

*we didn't knock any jumps down, stop or miss any out.

BerylStreep · 02/12/2017 15:04

I've been doing this for 2 weeks today - have lost 7 lbs already. I love the instant gratification that the beginning of LC achieves.

I was out at my work Xmas do yesterday. The restaurant staff were really good - I asked if I could have the pate, but with celery & cucumber instead, same with the cheese board to finish, and they happily obliged. Had wine (too much!) but it affected me much more than usual.

NSV was that I didn't hate myself in the group photos as I normally do. My face shape has changed already.

Scabbersley · 02/12/2017 15:10

Well done sayrra! Thats great!

Scabbersley · 02/12/2017 15:11

Feeling rather hungover today so have been eating a lot!

bacon and eggs
leftover courgette lasagne
sardines with lettuce and mayo

all randomly in no particular order!

Mimosa1 · 02/12/2017 15:54

Gail you look so happy and healthy - what a lovely picture. Well done on a huge loss.

Rshard thanks for the pep talk.

I think it's the time of year, combined with the fact that I've lost all the baby weight Noe and all my clothes,
Including my lovely new ones, fit so I feel like I "deserve" to not have to diet. The truth is I'm still several kg off the top end of a healthy BMI so need to keep going. 2 more weeks should be doable until the end of BC, then I am going to relax things over Xmas but will be back in Jan with a vengeance.

I will be making Moroccan fish stew tonight minus the chickpeas - highly recommend it. Sending everyone positive vibes, only 15 more days to go!

prettybird · 02/12/2017 16:04

NSV is that dh told me my face was returning to the shape it was shortly after we got married Smile. I have very high cheekbones - so it helps when you can see them and they're not being balanced by the double chin Hmm

Also, I bought myself a new, Size 14 leather belt so that I could throw out the old large one which was now disintegrating and far too long. I got another pleated leather one (ie without holes punched) so I could adjust it easily.

Also, did a sneaky waist measure (measurements usually done mid-month) and I've lost another inch off my waist since mid November (now 34.5")

On the app, so can't go back that far without taking off my bookmark, so I can't tag everyone I want to but here are a few:

Gail - you look fab. What a motivation to the rest of us.

Ragz - congratulations and yes, we need to see the photo of your gladragz (see what I did there Wink)

SayrraT - well done to both you and your horse on the clear round.

Time - well done on your SV (2 stones down) and your NSVs (all the compliments).

Great successes all round!

Thiswillbemyusername · 02/12/2017 16:44

Still low carbing here. I'm finding it so easy now, I can even resist carb-cravings (I had a bit of sweet stuff yesterday and it's set my carb-seeking stomach in gear).

B: (I noticed I was ravenous this morning after the carbs last night) leftover celeriac daulphinoise + 2x coffee w/ unsweetened almond milk
L: pork scratchings and lots of water
D: will be salmon salad with lots of veg. I turned down lasagna and a curry (I'm staying at a relative's house) in order to get veg intake for today

prettybird · 02/12/2017 16:52

Oh - and I made 33 mince pies last night (along with my usual chocolate chip cookies for ds' rugby team - the travelling parents were to have first dibs on the mince pies). Even though the game was cancelled due to a frozen pitch, I still haven't had a single one. Smile

Going to take some to the next Parent Council meeting on Monday.

Was going to post up a photo of them - but then realised I would be subject to BIWI's big stick for posting nasty temptation Shock

BlackMozart · 02/12/2017 16:54

Well done for all those successes! Reading them always gives me a lift.
Sayrra well done to you and your horse! It’s a long, long time since I did that but I can remember the feeling.
B nothing except hot water and lemon, rushing around
L scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, coffee
S 2 slices of Gouda
D will be pork and spinach

Gammeldragz · 02/12/2017 17:00

It took a lot of make up to cover up the rotten cold, in don't usually wear much! I've never worn a playsuit and rarely go strapless it feels weird - especially as I've got a long body and boobs aren't quite where they should be! But I'm happier with the finished outfit than I expected. Heels and biker jacket will be added later.

That’s brilliant sayyra
Well done on the sv and NSV beryl
You’re welcome mimosa, I was like that just before going on holiday but I didn’t manage it and ended up gaining 8lbs and only getting back on track when I discovered this woe. It’s a slippery slope!

Nice nsv’s prettybird, your belt sounds lovely.

BlackMozart · 02/12/2017 17:21

Wow gammeldragz you look fantastic!

Forgot about my two squares of dark choc and another coffee just an hour ag—whoops. On the basis my excessively itchy arms might be down to too few carbs I’ve now invented myself a one helping pud.
It is 23g (calling it 25g for ease) 85% dark cooking choc (17.4g carbs per 100g) melted v gently with a knob of good butter. Then added 3 heaped teaspoons of coconut cream (2.6g per 100g) and stirred until it thickened. It’s now in the fridge until Strictly later but it tasted lovely 😊

prettybird · 02/12/2017 17:22

You look great ragz - and your boobs look exactly where they should be! Smile

BerylStreep · 02/12/2017 17:33

Wow gammeldragz you look amazing!

Gammeldragz · 02/12/2017 17:48

Thanks. I can't believe how good my arms/shoulders look. I tend to focus on my tummy and forget about the rest of me. Trying to find a photo from the same event last year so I can compare...this is the best I can do.

Week 8 - Low Carb Bootcamp - Only 3 weeks to go ...
BlackMozart · 02/12/2017 18:02

If any of you shop in Waitrose I had the stuffed pork loin from their dinner for two offer tonight. It was 7.4g carbs per 100g and to serve two. I could have eaten the whole lot (and certainly would have done a few months ago) but instead ate about 2/3rds with a small portion of creamed spinach. The bit of meat left over, probably minus it’s squash and pine nut stuffing I will eat as a snack tomorrow. It definitely wouldn’t feed two hungry people without more veg but with my reduced appetite I could have stopped at half of it. For anyone who only wants a small amount of meat and doesn’t want to faff making something it was ok.

BlackMozart · 02/12/2017 18:02

I should have said a half portion was 185g and 7.4g of carbs.

GailLondon · 02/12/2017 18:23

You are rocking that play suit gammeldragz!

Rshard · 02/12/2017 18:53
