Morning all!

Here's the SoF once again

Hope that the scales are kind to you this morning.

So we enter the last three weeks. Still time to lose some significant weight. But only if you follow the rules!

It's a difficult time of the year, as Christmas goodies start to appear in the shops, and - I'm guessing - at work and at home as well!

You might find it easier to stay focused if you move back onto Bootcamp for the last two weeks, so you're really making sure that the carby stuff that you might have been indulging in - even if that has just been Bootcamp Light.

Good Morning and Happy December!

how has everyone done with their Lowvember goals? I've just looked back at my weight chart and I was 11st4 on 1st november, so i set myself the target to get in the 10's by the end of November which I thought would be a bit of a stretch to be honest as I don't always lose 1lb a week.
Well today I am 10 st 11! Really pleased with that! I could have sworn I had been stalling or losing slowly for the last few weeks aswell so it's only when i look back I realise how far I've come

Scabbersley · 01/12/2017 09:25

Well, I weighed in at 12.0 and 3/4 this morning, so so nearly in the 11s!! It felt really good and kind of weird.

Making a lasagne tonight and wondered if butternut squash is OK? Then we can all have the same.

Scabbersley · 01/12/2017 09:27

grah that's interesting about the cabbage! I bought one green pointed cabbage and have got four meals out of it. It's delicious!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 01/12/2017 09:29

Well done, Gail, that's brilliant!

Is leftover Fat Head pizza better cold or reheated? Made one last night and have brought the leftovers in to work to eat for dinner. Would prefer it hot but am unsure if it will be ok. Would have to be reheated in a microwave if that makes any difference.

Scabbersley · 01/12/2017 09:32

I think much better hot. Mine tasted greasy cold.

GailLondon · 01/12/2017 09:32

Nice one Scabbersly, it will feel so good to see that 11 when it appears!!

Scabbersley · 01/12/2017 09:33

I am going to photograph it!!

FurryTurnip · 01/12/2017 09:33

Well done Gail on achieving your Lowvember target, hope others did well too.

I monumentally failed on mine (to do 3 HIIT sessions per week). Rubbish. But, I did have to a second secret target which was to get to goal weight in November and I am a pound off, so I'm happy with that. Though I have now lowered my goal weight slightly to allow for any maintenance slippage.

Terrible day yesterday so have come to attend confession.

B: fasted ( too busy / disorganised to eat)
L: 2 boiled eggs, half protein roll
D: nothing.
S: Brazil nuts. Greek yogurt and ahem...a whole packet of poppadoms. All 8 of them.

I have noted the valuable lesson of when I am busy and not going to be home until late, make sure there is a meal prepared so I don't just inhale the carby contents of the kitchen.

Rshard · 01/12/2017 09:58

Well done gail and scabbersley on the lovember goal achievement!

I failed on the exercise goal, miserably but did the weight loss one, which was to get it on the 10’s

Shall we do again for December? To the r d of boot camp and perhaps to include the Christmas period?

Veryflummoxed · 01/12/2017 10:32

Scabbers you are right we are all different. Your food looked fine to me (I’m no expert, just been on the threads a while) and certainly not excessive. Three meals a day works for you. Two meals a day usually works for me but I don’t go hungry. If I need three meals or a snack I’ll have them. It’s eating for life as far as I’m concerned so must not be punitive. Ha, now I’ve read on I see BIWI and @StuntNun have already told you that and they are the experts.

My lowvember goal was getting and staying below thirteen and a half and I did it (after a long stall). Well done to all the others who succeeded with their goals. I especially liked yours Stunt Such a morale boost.

Scabbersley · 01/12/2017 11:35

We were in the kitchen last night and dh suddenly said "you look a good weight, that bit of weight loss really suits you"

I turned round quite flustered as dh never usually compliments me like that, only to see he was talking to the labrador Hmm

StuntNun · 01/12/2017 12:00

Scabbers butternut squash is carby, courgette slices would be better.

StuntNun · 01/12/2017 12:00

Scabbers butternut squash is carby, courgette slices would be better.

Grimbles · 01/12/2017 12:37

My lowvember goal was to see 12 but this morning I was 13.0.2 Hmm

Oh well... It's still less than I was so it's still all good.

Rshard · 01/12/2017 13:11

Has the Labrador been low carbing scabbersely?

GailLondon · 01/12/2017 15:32

Ah so close Grimbles, I would still take that as a win!

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 01/12/2017 15:38

I haven't weighed for a few days so not sure how my lowvember is going. To be honest I think I need to knock weighing on the head for a bit. Getting a bit obsessive which is something I have had a tendency to do in the past. I'm up a few lbs due to period and cheating.

B- 100pc chic from advent calendar
L- pigs in blankets and some spicy seeds
D-??? At my sisters.

Need to eat more veg!

Lizard202 · 01/12/2017 15:53

Is anyone having problems accessing the worksheet? I can't get into it 😩

Scabbersley · 01/12/2017 15:53

B: two boiled eggs, avocado
L: tuna salad with mayo
D: lasagne made with courgettes (thanks stunt)

Mimosa1 · 01/12/2017 16:33

Furry I was exactly the same yesterday. Had a light breakfast and lunch and got home ravenous and ate 2/3rds of a 90% chocolate bar and felt quite queasy after. Need to make sure I have easy LC food at home.

My Lowvember goal was 74kg, if i recall. I'm at 74.1 so very nearly. Still 3kg off in a month so I'm very pleased. I've been back at work for nearly a month and I did a big clothes shop before starting and some of the things I bought are a bit big. As if i need an excuse to hit the Jan sales, bear in mind i didn't buy any new clothes for 2 years as I spent most of that time pregnant! Grin

In terms of Dec goals, I'd like to end Dec / start Jan at 73kg anything. Another 200g off, and i would be delighted to sts over Christmas, although I fear that I will put on weight really easily because I've lost it easily, iykwim?

HarlotsWeb · 01/12/2017 16:33

I need to eat more veg too, timbuktu. I've definitely let that slide a bit.

Velocity · 01/12/2017 16:46

I'm still on-board with LCHF but not sure what my Christmas approach is going to me. I am not in my home environment for 2-weeks and the combination of lack of control in the kitchen and lack of rhythm to the day usually sees my weight creep up slowly but surely over the holiday period. I suppose its a question of this being a way of life versus a ' diet.'

AveAtqueVale · 01/12/2017 18:44

On the carby twat scale, how bad is eating almost half a jar of Cadbury’s chocolate spread with a spoon? Confused I have somehow accidentally managed to consume gluten and feel like death (coeliac), and historically carbs and water are the only thing that helps. But we have no ‘sensible’ carbs I can eat in the house. Argh.

ilovecherries · 01/12/2017 18:57

I think you know the answer to that, Ave Grin! No chance of nipping out for some sweet potatoes or a few parsnips? Or riding it out?
