Morning everyone Smile as BIWI is away I have the honour of starting the week 4 thread.

I going to give you all the usual reminder that in week 4 it is PERFECTLY NORMAL for weight loss to stall. So you may sts or even see a gain.

Do not panic! Just KOKO Smile

Just seen a photo of the view that BIWI is enjoying at the moment.

lemon in spinach is nice. I love it on its own though

singadream · 02/11/2017 19:04

Two more NSVs too - my 4yo who does not know I am doing this of course said "Mummy you aren't as fat any more" and my mum noticed after not seeing me for two weeks though I don't really count that as she always always comments on whether I am bigger or smaller and I ignore it. Loved my 4yo saying it though.

Chicken salad for dinner.

Veryflummoxed · 02/11/2017 19:11

Good luck @CarbyDeadUn
Thanks Wombat hope all ok with you now
And so well done all you nearly 50 pounders
@singadream Ahhhh Smile

Veryflummoxed · 02/11/2017 19:14

Forgot my food
Lunch hm soup and olives.
Tried to make a wrap thing for later, total failure, ended up eating it stood in the kitchen while wondering what to do for later instead Blush
Dinner chicken in bacon, runner beans in butter.

CarbyDeadUn · 02/11/2017 19:25

I’m a bit eeeeeek about the poor poorly boobage. I fear my nipple might turn black and fall off (not to mention the what-ifs and what-nexts). But it’ll be fiiiiiiiiiiine.

Had a good day today. Ham and egg salad and some Gouda slices. Lunch and tea.

Mimosa1 · 02/11/2017 19:33

Food today

B - low carb bread toasted with butter
L - open prawn cocktail and avocado sandwich w low carb bread
D - chicken mushroom, leek, mustard and cream sauce. Single cream so not strictly low carb but DH made dinner so don't want to be churlish.
S - 1 sq 99% chocolate and 1/2 Diet Coke, 1 babybel, gallons of tea.

Not nearly enough water. Ive got a bit of a sore throat and all i want is hot drinks.

My DH wants to lose a bit of weight but struggling to get in "the zone" mentally. I've decided I'll be here to talk to him about LCHF when he's ready but I'm not being evangelical about it.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 02/11/2017 19:35

Just seen a photo of the view that BIWI is enjoying at the moment.

Does BIWI have a holiday threads prettybird? I, too, would love to be EnvyGrin

Flowers to all who need them, and Star to all who earned them.

Some really good losses and NSVs reported today, but many experiencing balancing problems on that "wagon!"

I do remember last Bootcamp a poster who talked about how her big light bulb moment was that there is no wagon. This isn't a weight loss diet, it's a way of eating (similar to eating kosher, or pescetarian). How one eats on this woe will determine weight loss, but ultimately it is intended as a way of life that can be adjusted depending on whether one wishes to lose, gain, or maintain.

I encourage all who over-carbed to get into the mindset of that. But not "I never eat bread," rather "I rarely eat bread." It's a psychological trick but makes a difference, because it removes the fear that you'll never eat bread again!

And that's what we're all battling against: fear.

Scabbersley · 02/11/2017 19:39

D: weird soup that would have been pasta sauce pre HFLC
chorizo, garlic, butter, tomatoes, cream, parmesan

ChinchillaFur · 02/11/2017 19:40

Evening bootcampers
Major NSV today. I had parents eve tonight 4 - 6:30 so had taken tea to eat at work before it started but ran out of time. I grabbed a handful of nuts and a coffee and guess what .... I survived! Shock Ate my tea when I got home at 7pm and I wasn't even all that hungry! This would NEVER have happened when I was eating carbs, I was always famished by 5pm.

50lbs hey, and 3 of you almost there! Fabulous. My 8 year old weighs about that! That is a lot. Deserves to be celebrated.

starsky22 · 02/11/2017 19:53

Today:
B fasting
L chicken wrapped in chorizo, cabbage & leeks
D pork belly, sprouting broccoli, cabbage & leeks
S square of dark chocolate
Also tasted some of the cake mix when making DS birthday cake Confused

Scabbersley · 02/11/2017 19:54

I might have a glass of wine on Friday night. I am presuming dry white is the 'best'?

CarbyDeadUn · 02/11/2017 20:02

50lbs is blooody good.

I really need to change my name back

ClearEyesFullHearts · 02/11/2017 20:03

If it's wine, probably. If you're looking for "best" alcohol, go clear spirit such as vodka soda.

There's a reason that's the supermodel's drink of choice. Hmm

Scabbersley · 02/11/2017 20:04

ah a 'skinny bitch' cocktail!

maybe i will try that. I haven't bought a bottle of vodka in about 15 years

SoMuchToBits · 02/11/2017 20:04

Good luck with the op, Carby!

My food today

Lunch - baked vegetables and feta
Dinner - absolutely yummy home made beef korma, home made cucumber raitha and sautéed leeks.

prettybird · 02/11/2017 20:17

Cleareyes - I've met BIWI in RL and she's lovely with a Big Stick nowhere in sight , so I saw it on FB.

Grimbles · 02/11/2017 20:46

Slight change of plan for dinner, spinach wilted away to nothing so chucked in some courgetti and added a dollop of chilli pesto.

prettybird · 02/11/2017 20:52

My supper was courgette and shallot frittata served with Brussels microwaved in butter.

Yummy. Smile

BrassicaBabe · 02/11/2017 20:55

Was I on drugs and imagined it, or was there a LC onion bhaji recipe around?! Grin

ClearEyesFullHearts · 02/11/2017 21:01

so I saw it on FB

Not to complain, but I now have View Envy (TM). Surely I'm not the only one! Wink

WhoKn0ws (what a faff it is typing that with the correct zero, ha!) I agree the Delouis is pricey. Have you considered making your own French mayonnaise? It tastes exactly the same. And for the poster who found the Delouis too mustard-y, making your own can control that. It's a damn sight cheaper!

I think someone posted this a few weeks ago in a Bootcamp, have a look at how easy it is. If you don't have a hand blender there are other ways as well:

How to make French mayonnaise

My update is that the 4.5 lbs "gained" on Tuesday have reduced by 2 lbs. Still puts me up but I'm hopeful it's a stress gain rather than a real gain. Or I might be talking bollocks. Grin

NSV: I had to move my bra hook from 1st to 3rd position. Yay, boobs.

Veryflummoxed · 02/11/2017 21:32

You’re not @ClearEyesFullHearts I want to see it too. Grin

BlackMozart · 02/11/2017 22:27

Evening all it has taken me a couple of hours to catch up! prettybird thank you for adding me to the sheet. I hope I will be able to register a loss at some point 🤞
scabbersley so glad you came back. I have 3 donkeys fostered from the Donkey Sanctuary and I too have been mucking out today! Well every day.
Congratulations to everyone on those inspiring weight losses. I will just have to KOKO.
Still sticking to bc, grimly.
Mayo - I bought two different ones this week. Simply Delicious (2.6 carbs per 100ml) and Stokes which is similar 2.7.

Kleptronic · 02/11/2017 22:32

Sainsbury's full fat French mayo is a good dupe for Delouis but not so mustardy. Or at all mustardy really.

WhoKn0wsWhereTheSlimeGoes · 02/11/2017 22:44

Cleareyes - I've never had any luck making my own mayo in the past, just wasted a lot of eggs, but maybe I should give it another go. I love my mayo mustardy (I find Hellmans really bland) so the Delouis suits me just fine but the price is a bit ouchy. I can probably justify it on the grounds that I'm no longer forking out £5 a week to Slimming World though Grin. I don't mind if people get my Os and 0s wrong, it's just my way of tweaking my name around a bit.
