Good morning Flowers

So the last thread reached 1000 posts. I don't think that's ever happened on any other Bootcamp! It's a really good sign that everyone is engaged in the process, even if it's not always been from a positive place. If things aren't working for you, please keep reading and posting - even if you just lurk, hopefully the support and advice here will be helpful for you.

But it's a glorious day again, and the sun is shining brightly already and the birds are singing their hearts out. I hope that this translates into positivity and optimism for all of us this week - even if you've been struggling!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

We're past the dreaded weeks 4 and 5 now, so hopefully things will start to get going in the right direction, and you should see the weight move downwards - assuming, of course, that you aren't cheating or allowing carb creep.

Good luck everyone

That is so strange Giraffeski I am blessed with arms like hams. Even when I was in my early 20's and a teeny 7st my Welsh rugby player exH would squeeze my upper arms and tell me I had shot putters arms.

Also a German physio barked 'YOU HAVE ILIAC CRESTS LIKE ELEPHANTS EARS' at me when I was pregnant with DS and suffering with SPD Grin.

CodLiverOil556 · 23/06/2017 21:45

Having a bit of a relaxed day today, had chicken breast, omelette and teaspoon of mushy peas for lunch. Just had some weird German protein bread with a smidge of peanut butter on. Also ran 5km in about 30 minutes so feel good.

Anyone else find the weekends are a bit harder? I've not touched any sort of sugar/sweeteners since we started...can we re-introduce them at any point or is it best just to abstain?

boldlygoingsomewhere · 23/06/2017 21:49

Lovely dress, giraffe- you look amazing.

Not much to report today except that I treated myself to a liqueur coffee this evening - a spoonful of whiskey and cream. Yum!

SayrraT · 23/06/2017 21:51

I had a delicious dinner!

I sliced a courgette, dipped it in beaten egg then grated parmasean and fried until crispy.

kermit oddly enough I find weekends easier! No one at work bringing in cake etc.

dustmotesinthesun · 23/06/2017 22:12

Also a German physio barked 'YOU HAVE ILIAC CRESTS LIKE ELEPHANTS EARS' at me when I was pregnant with DS and suffering with SPD . I guffawed at that! I'm sure you don't.

giraffe you look stunning.

Someone mentioned a Jamie Oliver chicken recipe and it reminded me to share one of my all time favourite low carb chicken recipes. It's called cracklin' chicken' and IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. It's better than heroin, not that I've ever actually tried heroin. You haven't actually lived until you've tried it. KFC fans in particular will love it. Dunked in mayo is the best.

A good food day here under slightly challenging circumstances. I'm just impatient to see some more weight loss now, or feel it.

Kleptronic · 23/06/2017 22:12

Inspired by Jimminy I bought some healthy prancing togs and went to yoga. Here are my legs, my best bits.

Oh and the cracklin' chicken recipe calls for ghee - you can absolutely just use butter to fry it instead. Makes no difference.

Not sure why I bolded the quote above!

dustmotesinthesun · 23/06/2017 22:13

V nice legs! And love the leggings.

ilovecherries · 23/06/2017 22:16

Today was quite a busy day, it's my day off so I organised a play date for my DS. We had a lovely time having a picnic and run around the park. DH got home a bit earlier tonight so I took advantage and went for a walk/run around the park. And also managed to do the 7 min app for the first time. I really enjoyed it. Hoping to steal myself another 40 mins first thing in the morning tomorrow and go for another run.
The scales haven't moved now for at least 7 days and I'd like to see if bit more excercise makes any difference.

I'm loving my sparkling tea, got 2 new flavours of Dragonfly tea - green tea + berries and green tea + citrus. It is so refreshing.

HemanOrSheRa · 23/06/2017 22:36

Gorgeous pins Kleptronic Smile.

I really do dust. She also said 'Ya. They flare out. Das is gut' when I was bent over with my bum in her face. I also have one leg longer than the other by an inch and my pelvis is wonky. I always thought my sewing skills were crap when I took up trousers until then! Grin

Mandelinka · 23/06/2017 22:41

Kleptronic
Lovely legs and cute leggings

Kleptronic · 23/06/2017 22:57

Thanks you lot! Leggings are from Costco, less than £15!

Giraffeski · 23/06/2017 23:21

@HemanOrShera i'm am crying

wombattoo · 24/06/2017 02:13

Giraffeski I have nipped In to say that you look fantastic in your dress.

I have lost 4 lbs on the scales this week, but, I have had 4 people independantly tell me that I have lost loads of weight.

I have said this loads of times - don't let the scales guide you. Let your body be your guide koko xx

AdalindSchade · 24/06/2017 06:30

Aargh
I seem to be having another period. 16 days after my last one which was 14 days after the one before that.
I know the logic is that my body is losing fat as the fat cells are releasing oestrogen but I wish the scales would get with the program as I haven't seen any loss yet this week.

OldBooks · 24/06/2017 06:42

Adalind a similar thing is happening to me, I don't mind the actual bleeding but ironically the PMT may well derail me as I get so moody and upset and convince myself the woe isn't working so I might as well eat cake Hmm we can only KOKO and wait for it to settle

Cherrypi · 24/06/2017 06:45

Love the leggings kleptronic. I'm at my lowest recorded weight. This is normally where it starts to rise. I'm going to see if I can go lower this time.

AdalindSchade · 24/06/2017 06:46

I haven't noticed much change in my hormones in terms of mood which is nice! PMT is usually a bitch. I don't think my cycle is having a luteal phase which is where PMT happens as I seem to be having periods half way through my cycle. Weird. It is a bit unsettling because the actual periods have been longer and heavier than usual too. I think I need to maybe take an iron supplement.

Asmoto · 24/06/2017 06:50

I love your leggings, Kleptronic and your legs look very slim and toned.

OldBooks · 24/06/2017 06:55

That is nice Adalind, my PCOS means I don't have a cycle really so I can't say which is the extra period and which is the normal cycle iyswim. I have always had horrible PMT, I suppose it is lasting for a shorter time which is an improvement

AdalindSchade · 24/06/2017 06:57

I don't know exactly how the hormones interact but I know that PMT happens when the oestrogen levels drop and progesterone rises so maybe if our fat cells are releasing oestrogen we might have less PMT? Although not sure where the oestrogen goes once it has been released!

wombattoo · 24/06/2017 07:32

Adalind It doesn't matter where it goes - as long as it goes! Grin

AdalindSchade · 24/06/2017 07:33
Grin But why isn't the fat going too??? Wail
wombattoo · 24/06/2017 07:37

I went to a wedding yesterday. The food choice was bacon sandwiches or sausage sandwiches! I know it is fashionable, but bloody hell. I had a sandwich. I am back on it today so I reckon one sandwich won't do that much harm I am drawing a veil over the alcohol
