Good morning Flowers

So the last thread reached 1000 posts. I don't think that's ever happened on any other Bootcamp! It's a really good sign that everyone is engaged in the process, even if it's not always been from a positive place. If things aren't working for you, please keep reading and posting - even if you just lurk, hopefully the support and advice here will be helpful for you.

But it's a glorious day again, and the sun is shining brightly already and the birds are singing their hearts out. I hope that this translates into positivity and optimism for all of us this week - even if you've been struggling!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

We're past the dreaded weeks 4 and 5 now, so hopefully things will start to get going in the right direction, and you should see the weight move downwards - assuming, of course, that you aren't cheating or allowing carb creep.

Good luck everyone

Right, gave myself a shake and am going to KOKO.
I think a lot of us (myself included) could benefit from staying off the scales for a bit. I agree with Jim and heman that scales going the wrong way have the tendency to derail.
I'm wearing a skirt today that I made ages ago but it was too tight on the waist at the time. It's perfect now so something is working.

B: eggs, spinach, butter & leftover hollandaise
L: burrata, Parma ham and salad with olive oil
D: maybe fathead pizza and salad or bolognaise with courgetti
S: thin slice of flax bread with butter
2L water so far

Afternoon all Grin

I haven't read the whole thread but just need to thank whoever posted about snackettes! Thank you a hundred times Star I couldn't find any in the shops so ordered online yesterday. I was all prepared, bought pate and brie..... arrived today, brilliant! Crunchy and go with anything, really filled a cracker sized hole in my life x

thenightsky · 23/06/2017 16:36

Well I blew it today... but it was in a good cause and a one off.

I took early retirement and work put on an amazing party for me! I ate loads of salami, olives and cheese, but did have a handful of crisps and two cream crackers (needed to eat amazing home made mackerel pate). Two slices of carrot cake and half a dozen fresh strawberries. I papercup of Schloer which grape juice.

Tell me how bad it is please? I've now got a raging thirst and my tummy is sticking out and feels weird inside Sad.

HemanOrSheRa · 23/06/2017 16:48

Flipping 'eck night if you can't blow it at your retirement party then when can you? Congratulations! Do you have any plans or are you looking forward to being a Lady Of Leisure? Grin

C4pinkwheels · 23/06/2017 16:55

Bellalurgy it was me, I agree they're fantastic.

HemanOrSheRa · 23/06/2017 16:59

Crackers?! What crackers?!

secretsignal · 23/06/2017 17:01

Need to catch up with thread, but quick NSV, got some lovely jeans in Jigsaw sale, 30" waist, googled this when I got home and it's only a bloody 12!!! Ok, they're a bit snug, but still!!! Am v v happy! And it's pork belly tonight Smile

Naschkatze · 23/06/2017 17:56

Thanks for the tips on bouillon etc. I will get some marigold stuff to try. At the moment I've only got Oxo cubes in the cupboard and I really don't fancy making a drink of one of those!
Perhaps I need to try making a clear soup at some point and keep small portions in the freezer - would that do the trick?!
Will try adding salt to foods too.

Happy Retirement Night! I think that deserves celebration with cake but don't let BIWI hear me saying that.

I have eaten some verboten foods today. It was deliberate (not that you can eat accidentally) in that we went to lunch at DH's elderly grandparents. Despite me suggesting just tea (and cake for them) they insisted on doing lunch for us. It was obvious that they'd prepared a lot and I didn't want to seem ungrateful. It was just 2 small new potatoes, a bowl of fruit salad (I did try and pick out the lower carb stuff when I served myself) and 2 dark chocolate truffles. I turned down the biscuits and cheese crackers.

Food today:
B - Tea and almond milk. 2 slices of ham as I ran out of the door to a baby group.
L - Chicken, with the skin, salad and 2 new potatoes. No dressing on the salad. Sad small bowl fruit salad, cream, cheese, 2 chocolate truffles.
D - if we are hungry will be LC Moussaka and broccoli but we were quite stuffed after lunch.
Not enough fat today I think.

lurknolinger · 23/06/2017 18:19

Bellalurgy snap! I ordered the snackettes online too (8 packs for £12) and they arrived today, had some for lunch with pate, cheese etc. Lovely. Perfect as an alternative for crisps and substantial enough to put things on. Thank you C4 Star

shittymctwatface · 23/06/2017 18:42

I'm in a Thai restaurant, I've ordered Tom Kai soup, steamed cod with spices - lemongrass, ginger, garlic, soy sauce etc with mixed veg - mixed mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, celery in oyster sauce.

Only think on the menu that wasn't coated or thick sauces.

How carbalicious is it?!

C4pinkwheels · 23/06/2017 18:51

These crackers

ASDismynormality · 23/06/2017 18:54

My crackers are arriving tomorrow, thanks C4

HemanOrSheRa · 23/06/2017 18:58

Eek! Bless you C4. CRACKERS!

I'm watching for replies to your post shitty (Grin). I have literally just asked DS if he fancies going out for Thai food tomorrow night and that I would order something very similar.

Mandelinka · 23/06/2017 19:47

c4 good to hear you are feeling touch better today. How old are your grandchildren? Sounds like your creativity runs in the family.

starsky I make the same Jamie's' chicken quite regularly, my boys love it, especially the crushed garlic potatoes.

Giraffeski · 23/06/2017 20:00

I've not done so well on water or veg today, just trying to top up a bit. Got caught out without my water bottle and kept forgetting to buy a new one.
B: two egg omelette with cheddar
L: BLT using lettuce as the bread
D: will be hard boiled egg and mayo I think as i'm totally shattered and I've watched everyone else eat the Friday night fish and chips without even stealing a tiny bit. There is literally nothing I could have got from the chip shop which would be BC friendly! Even the sausages are probably carbalicious!

Giraffeski · 23/06/2017 20:03

Oh and I forgot- MAJOR NSV-
I have managed to fully zip up an evening gown I bought before I had DC
It's years old but of course these things don't date really so I once more feel BLACK TIE READY Grin
These little things are what keep us KOKO

Giraffeski · 23/06/2017 20:06

To the Jamie Oliver chicken fans- he also does a yummy 'golden rosemary chicken' which my kids love and it's fried so plenty of scope for adding fat! It's basically chicken breasts in a plastic bag with some sea salt, pepper and fresh rosemary, then bashed flat with a rolling pin. Then you pan fry it and I normally serve with steamed veg which you can whack a load of butter on.
In fact, that is deffo tomorrow nights tea!

HemanOrSheRa · 23/06/2017 20:46

Wit woo Giraffeski you look amazing! Gorgeous figure. Fabulous arms and shoulders Smile.

Asmoto · 23/06/2017 20:50

Wow, what a fabulous dress, Giraffe - you look so slim and slinky!

SayrraT · 23/06/2017 21:17

Ooh, you look lovely giraffeski

Giraffeski · 23/06/2017 21:25

Thank you! I just sent this photo to DH who is working very late tonight Wink
The difference to a month ago is amazing- I seem to have lost bulk all over, including my arms and shoulders-
I've always had what my mum likes to call 'beefy shoulders' Hmm and even at my slimmest I'm conscious them so you have no idea how lovely it is to hear that! In fact I am so conscious of my upper arms I spent a lot of my wedding pictures holding them really oddly to try and detract from them and I ended up wrecking quite a lot of the pictures!
I only got married in December and I wish so much that I'd found you lot a year ago- I was annoyed with myself for not having the willpower to lose weight prior to the wedding, but now I realise it was so hard as I was stuffing myself with carbs and riding the highs and lows- DH has remarked how he can no longer immediately tell when Im hungry or not, my blood sugars used to drop so suddenly and I was a massive sugar addict.

Anyway, I am sporadic abut posting and I don't always have time to 'chat' to every poster individually, but I would like you to know that all of you are a great support to me and to each other, and I take great comfort in reading everyones ups and downs, tips and meal ideas.
Smile

starsky22 · 23/06/2017 21:28

Wowee Giraffe you look amazing! And thanks for the Jamie Oliver recipe, will check it out.

OldBooks · 23/06/2017 21:36

Giraffe you look fantastic and you are right, that dress is timeless, very elegant. You must be so chuffed!

MOIST · 23/06/2017 21:40

Giraffe. That is beauteous.

I'm home after a busy one at work. Got the whole weekend off and my baby (DD1) is coming home. I've missed her too much. She finished her university year then went straight to stay with her boyfriend so I've not seen her for yonks.

I've been ever so hungry today.

B. Cream coffee
S. Yogurt, cream, berries
S. Strawberries
L. Chicken, feta, olives
S. HB eggs x 2
D more chicken, feta, olives and some Edam.

The strawberries were instead of the massive amount of cake we had at work.

I've had a hideously busy few weeks and I'm stressed and knackered and having some red wine.

CodLiverOil556 · 23/06/2017 21:41

Wow Giraffe that dress is very slinky...looks fabulous
