Anyway Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and don't forget the Weight Tracker

I hope that things have been going well, and that this final week can see of another pesky pound or so.

Sass I must have missed one of your posts.... What's going on?

sassandfaff · 26/03/2015 21:16

Nothing too bad trash

I've got labrinthitis. Fluid in my ears, caused by a viral infection which has given me vertigo and nausea. And seemingly a rash too. Hmm

BerylStreep · 26/03/2015 22:32

Charlie I bet you make a brill MIL. Mine isn't too bad - drives me mad sometimes, but I'm sure I do the same to her too. I hope your garden is full of clematis now. If not this is the perfect time to start planting!

Sass I hope you are feeling better soon. That radio 4 programme discussed how sometimes the feeling of vertigo is as a result of tiny bits of debris swishing around inside the ear, and the exercises are designed to capture the debris in a dead end, a bit like one of those ballbearing maze games.

MrsSteve sorry to hear about your Gran.

I have had a mega day at work - a 13 hour day, and I am feeling a bit hyped.

Tomorrow is busy - drop kids to school, tidying before marriage savers cleaners, have 2 friends and 6 children coming for lunch, pack for holidays (possibly make emergency dash to decathlon for salopettes for DD). Try to lose 4 kgs before Saturday.

Romeyroo · 27/03/2015 07:08

Beryl, you might lose 4kg from all that running around!

I am 2lb up and got the bungs. No coincidence probably that I haven't had the coconut milk breakfast as out of coconut milk and relied more on eggs. Off to stock up today.

Gcalgske · 27/03/2015 08:01

mrss that's awful, hope you are all ok. sass could the rash be post viral? Ie. The virus caused the fluid in the ear and now the rash? Call the real drs though hon. X

Mrsstevejones · 27/03/2015 08:16

Thanks everyone i am getting up to see her tom. We still dont actually know a great deal other than its ovarian cancer. I know things move very quickly when its cancer but it still feels like a lifetime, not sure the stage etc

Funny thing is comfort eating was a real issue for me and i havent dived head first into the carbs - i think it all hasnt sunk in yet but strangely i have no desire to eat at all.

first viewings on our house today, hoping to sell it to first person so i can slack back off with the house work.

No idea about food prob BPC and green smoothie and something.

Romeyroo · 27/03/2015 09:44

Oh, MrsS, what a lot you have to cope with at the moment. I am really sorry about your gran, and hope seeing her and finding out where things stand helps a bit. I lost my beloved gran when I was 15 and it was back in the days nobody told children when things were wrong. I am badly trying to say, make the most of what time you do have if it does not look good??. I am really sorry for you and your family; I hope the prognosis is better than you fear.

Romeyroo · 27/03/2015 09:46

The squares were supposed to be Flowers, on phone sorry

Notso · 27/03/2015 10:05

Morning all feeling happy today, just having a little boogie in the kitchen to Fatboyslim Praise You which was my walking back up the aisle song, we're going on holiday tomorrow (although the weather forecast is appalling) and weighed today as am not taking scales on holiday and I'm 12st 12lb, lightest for ages and only a lb off 2 stone off.

MrsS so sorry to hear about your Gran Flowers

Sass your rash looks a bit like the rash DC3 always gets when he has a virus.

Brunch-salmon salad
Dinner- steak and celeriac and leek mash with asparagus

I might try my first BPC today as have finally bought more pods for the machine I promised DH I'd use daily!

MrsKoala · 27/03/2015 10:08

Hope you are all well. Haven't caught up on the thread yet. At my parents for a week while dh is up with his mum. She now has problems in her bowels which she is saying is gall stones - with no medical input. I suspect the cancer has spread and she and fil are in denial. We are all meant to go up next thurs but dh thinks she will be too ill to cope with us there.

Very tired as ds2 is teething and up all night and i am craving snacks and tea and biscuits but being strong.

I'm getting a bit anxious about falling face first into a cake/pack of hot cross buns when BC is over. Is there a guide on maintenance anywhere?

Notso · 27/03/2015 11:05

Note to self, use unsalted butter in BPC next time

Gcalgske · 27/03/2015 12:04

I've got the heaves thinking about it notso
I thought I was being clever buying coconut milk on offer (49p per can) in homebargains but it's rank. All separated and hard. I normally buy their 69p rich and creamy stuff which is lush but thought I'd got a bargain. So I've not had flax yoghurt for breakfast for a few days and consequently have the bungs. Managed to get some cans of the good stuff today so flax mix for breakfast tomorrow. Hopefully sort me out.

StuntNun · 27/03/2015 12:46

I got home from hospital yesterday so I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and I've lost 7.5 lb since Monday! WinkWinkWink

That's great news Sass, I take it that means it will clear up easily enough then?

MrsK if you still have weight to lose then I would follow Bootcamp Light between Bootcamps. If you just want to maintain weight loss then you can either reintroduce small quantities of safe carbs such as the higher carb fruits and vegetables (I add apples, bananas, carrots, sweet potato and potato). You can't go mad though because the one thing you don't want to be doing is eating high carb-high fat meals or you will regain weight fast. Another option is to introduce planned cheats. DH and I have one day a week when we're 'allowed' carbs. We don't go mad though, it's usually a carby dinner such as pizza or spaghetti, or having coffee and cake out. With that approach you have to watch out for carb cravings and be ready with low carb snacks for the next day or two if you find yourself having cravings. Briffa recommends the 80:20 rule where you eat low carb 80% of the time. I'm not a fan of that because of carb creep where 80:20 become 70:30 and so on. Some plans use a carb cycling technique where you have a high carb day but you eat low fat. That makes sense in that according to Robert Lustig there are virtually no foods that contain carbs and fat. Personally I find that following Bootcamp makes you really appreciate adding fat to food and the idea of low fat food becomes quite unappealing.

MrsKoala · 27/03/2015 14:12

Cheers Stunt. I suppose my fear is continuing high fat and then adding carbs and sugar and ballooning up. If i have to make a choice i would prefer to keep the high fat food up and sacrifice carbs.

I think i may just introduce some carbier veg a few times a week, maybe some pulses once. I wont be eating bread, rice or pasta tho. and no sugar. I may relax and bake with Stevia and almond flour for some rare treats and re-introduce some fruit and greek yogurt. And maybe some porridge oats for breakfast twice a week like the IPD suggests.

I think i will do that gradually and keep an eye on the scales.

sassandfaff · 27/03/2015 14:21

stunt Well, I had the vertigo Tues/wed early hours, the nausea wed day and the rash Thurs, but seem to be free of everything today. So it would appear it was a viral rash notso

Maybe this woe has made me super healthy and I just fight everything off quick. Grin

Glad you are home stunt so lovely coming home with your baby. (Ignores, housework, washing, other kids etc that need taking care of)

Romeyroo · 27/03/2015 14:32

Just been looking at BC lite; I think I will keep BC up, with BCL for treats. I am not quite confident enough to go for maintenance as I am still trying to see what works with low carbing for me (i.e eggs muck up my digestive system) and discovering new things, trying to get exercise etc. And my weight loss is so slow now, it may as well be maintenance.

Romeyroo · 27/03/2015 14:33

Good that you are home Stunt

LexLoofah · 27/03/2015 15:15

had yummy dinner last night: bacon, leeks & cauli in a creamy cheesy sauce, made with lashings of butter of course. leftovers for lunch mmmm

CharlieSierra · 27/03/2015 18:18

Sorry about your gran MrsS Flowers

Beryl I do my best, I reckon on being too busy living my own life to interfere in anyone else's. My garden is rampant with clematis, climbing roses and all manner of things growing up walls, over and through things and generally running amok, I love it Grin

Gcalgske · 27/03/2015 19:13

charlie both your approach as a MIL and garden sound heavenly.

BIWI · 27/03/2015 20:03

MrsK - don't worry, we won't be abandoning you! Once Bootcamp has finished, I'll start another chat thread. But instead of having a new one every week, it will just run on until it's full, and then I'll start another one.

There will still be plenty of us around to support each other.

Yay!

Gcalgske · 28/03/2015 00:25

Today I skipped breakfast, had a cup of tea at toddler group but avoided biscuits.
Lunch was most of a smallish avocado with 1/2 a ball of mozzarella and a few cherry tomatoes. All drizzled in oil and vinegar.
Dinner was a chicken curry. Had some pork scratchings and a square of dark chocolate too.

trashcanjunkie · 28/03/2015 01:42

Hey peeps, just checking in. My weight is back down a couple of pounds. Was round a mates house bemoaning the piddling about of my weight, and she spontaneously came out with the same thing I mentioned the other day, which is, this is how it goes for you, then you have a whoosh. I was very pleased to hear I'm not imagining it Grin

A client told me I look slimmer, which made my day today. Have been out for a few drinks with a friend tonight, and felt very nice in my clothes. I made a new too out of a skirt I bought ages ago, which never fitted. I took the waistband of, hemmed it, turned the whole thing upside down and sewed in shoulders to make a batwing top. It looked nice I think. Will post some photos.

Glad you're feeling better sass

Big love to you Mrssteve, sorry about the rubbish times.

Am working again this weekend. Too many dogs in our lives at the moment. Joyless. Not my dog, but I'm hating every other fuckers. Just been cleaning up sick, shit, piss and more sick. Oh and dps dog has chronically bad farts.
