Gcalgske · 25/03/2015 07:55

Notso · 25/03/2015 08:00

Congratulations StuntNun hope your all well.

sassandfaff · 25/03/2015 08:13

Congratulations stunt hope you and baby are doing well.

Sorry to hear you troubles gcal Thanks

I'm currently lying on the couch waiting for the doctors to open. Dp is having to do the 3/4 different breakfasts and school/nursery run.

I think I have vertigo. Woke in the night to the room spinning, terrible nausea, which I still have now. Sigh.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 25/03/2015 08:18

Even though I sts this week, I had a non scale victory today. Finally got a ring off that's been stuck on for two years.

Can anyone tell me why, although the scales are generally moving down (slowly) my measurements haven't changed for months?
Do you think it's because I'm losing the fat on the 'inside' iykwim?

Gcalgske · 25/03/2015 08:23

sass have you had an ear infection or sore ears recently? Sounds suspiciously like when I had labarinthitus...

sassandfaff · 25/03/2015 08:38

gcal not as such. But I have had a few occasions where I have had a quick sharp pain and then yesterday I kept pulling to the left iyswim?

The wardrobe doors were just moving in front of my eyes last night. That's gone now but the nausea is still with me. Feel bleurgh.

natural yes that can happen, there is a difference between fat under your skin (harmless) and fat around your organs (dangerous) it is quite hard to lose the fat under the skin- Subcutaneous, compared to visceral fat. That is why we and sw don't really work, because you are in fact losing very little percentage of fat, it is more water and muscle.
Hope that makes sense?!

sassandfaff · 25/03/2015 08:38

Ww and sw

StuntNun · 25/03/2015 08:50

My breakfast choices were Weetabix, Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes or toast. ConfusedConfusedConfused I chose gnawing hunger over the price I have to pay when I eat wheat. Fortunately I have a stash of nuts and dark chocolate in my bedside table.

StuntNun · 25/03/2015 08:52

All those cereals are pure carbs right?

sassandfaff · 25/03/2015 09:30

Not quite pure, but not far off- about 70g per 100g I think.

I'd explain they might give you an egg or yogurt.

Well doctor was a bit Hmm didn't look in my ears, didn't mention my ears and when I mentioned it, she dismissed it.

She thinks it's low blood pressure and maybe even blood sugars. Her advice was to eat 6/7 small meals instead of 3.

Said to dp, maybe I should have asked her what she recommends? My bet would be crackers, wholemeal bread, lots of slow releasing carbs. Hmm

It might be those things, but a look in my ears might have been good practice!

Sigh. If it happens again, I'll ask for the main 2 doctors.

MrsKoala · 25/03/2015 10:18

Oh big congratulations Stunt. What did he weigh? Does he have hair? lots of details pleeeeease (despite my nightmare children i am inexplicably broody Confused )

I am going to go jean shopping on Monday. I am thinking of treating myself to these . Anyone had this make before?

I've got John Lewis vouchers from my first wedding to use up (i got them in the divorce and he kept the CDs). I have been saving them for a special treat and i think new jeans are it. Wink

Gcalgske · 25/03/2015 10:22

stunt the rice crispies would be the best bet if wheat hurts your tum, most NHS hospitals I've been in won't get you an alternative but the shop at my local matty has boxed salads and cheese and crackers, pepperami etc if you are up to a little stroll? sass Do you feel sick and like your eyes are twitching when you try to look at a screen or book? I was off work for six weeks cause I could leave my flat or look at my computer screen. Sending huge hugs.

SayraT · 25/03/2015 10:24

Thanks bitchy and romey Smile

Congratulations stunt Flowers hello stuntbaby Grin If you ask and say that you can't have wheat will they give you something else to eat?

MrsK I don't have those jeans but I have heard others say that they are really good.

MrsKoala · 25/03/2015 10:24

i meant to say, Stunt, when i was in hospital having ds2 (for 6 weeks before he came) the only options were weetabix, cornflakes or toast for breakfast and then mash was served for lunch and dinner every day. Even with mashy food, it came as the veg side. So shepherds/cottage/fish pie all came with a side of bloody mashed potato. When i had him (2wks early) he was nearly 10lb and i had put on 3st. I totally blame the mash.

yongnian · 25/03/2015 11:18

Ohhhh just poked my head round the door and seen the lovely news....big congratulations stuntnun and welcome welcome to babystuntnun!!

sassandfaff · 25/03/2015 11:40

gcal do you want to be my doctor? Drove to the bloody miles away walk in centre and they have said labyrinthitis!

Dp is coming back tonight instead of staying away- thank god. I was freaking out at the prospect of it happening again when I'm on my own. It is really awful.

Gcalgske · 25/03/2015 12:23

Dr Google at your service! It's awful. People were like 'ooh all that time off' (worked in a call centre at the time) and I was going out my head as couldn't read, watch to or stand upright. Was hell on toast. My gp did a neck exercise thing that really helped, you tilt your head following the path of the ear canals and it frees the fluid etc which can cause the balance issues. That and lots of anti emetics. X

StuntNun · 25/03/2015 12:57

I'm a complete PITA as I'm eating low carb plus dairy-free, egg-free and soya-free due to my DS3's food intolerances. To be fair I have trouble feeding me, let alone asking anyone else to! They've just brought lunch to me and the only thing on the tray I can eat is the salt and pepper!

Not much hair yet MrsK but it looks like it will be light brown. His eyes are a murky colour so will probably be brown although I wouldn't rule out green like DS3 has. I had to have an emergency section on Monday due to the placenta starting to come away. He wasn't due until the end of April so he's a titch at 4 lb 14 oz.

sassandfaff · 25/03/2015 13:04

Awh stunt so teeny. Bless.

sassandfaff · 25/03/2015 13:11

If it happens again tonight gcal I will ask for the main doc tomorrow. I'm hoping I just have it mild- some people have it years apparently. Good God, I would be depressed.

StuntNun · 25/03/2015 13:35

Sass do you just feel dizzy or do you feel like your eyes are flicking from side to side when you move your head too fast? I had a bit of vertigo a few years back, possibly due to dental work, and I found that lying down made me sick but sitting upright with my head perfectly still was best, I could even watch TV so long as I didn't move my head at all. There are loads of things that can cause it but you would need to be referred to ENT for investigation.

imustbepatient · 25/03/2015 13:42

Congratulations stunt on little stunt's arrival! Hope friends and family can sneak you in some proper food (sorry had to laugh at only being able to eat the salt and pepper!)

sass hope you can get the right treatment and feel better shortly.

MrsK the house of colour consultant I saw a few weeks ago really recommended those jeans. I think they will be my treat to me when I get down to my happy weight.

Gcal I'm really sorry to hear that re what your MIL said. I understand too about your DH being stuck in the middle but when she has upset you this much and out of the blue, perhaps he could speak to her and make it clear he has your back and you are his family (whilst still loving her etc). Sorry I know that's easy to say from the outside and when I don't know all the details. Anyway, I hope you can find a way through it that works for you.

Still KOKO here, getting the house ready for viewings. At least the impromptu gardening is providing exercise! Grin

MrsKoala · 25/03/2015 13:43

Oh so small and lovely.

I had placenta preavia and was in hospital for 6wks with bleeding till they took chunky out at 38wks. They said he was 7lb 4oz on the scan...
