Morning. Apologies for late start to this week's thread, but I'm off work poorly today, and had a bit of a lie-in.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

Good luck for this week

Evening all. pisses can you lay your paws on some chicken stock and melt a lump of butter in? Drinking fat like that works for me. Or roasting chicken and then melting butter over the dryer meat.... And I almost hate to mention this, because I'm sure you are, but are you drinking enough?

beyond I find with the next stuff, (although admittedly I have not extensively researched) that their tall stuff, whilst indeed extremely generous leg length wise, is no different in the 'gunt' depth. Long tall Sally have got the cut exactly right for my long bottom! But they are really only good for staples. The general style is a bit bleaurgh.

drdiva I am going to check that link out next, thanks, I love knowing about tall shops. I really am happy to invest in my clothes as part of a self love kinda thing, and part of that is understanding my shape (height particularly) and not making do with substandard fitting garments anymore. Ooh get me I'm all 'sewing bee'tastic!

I also decided I'm going to do a proper dressmaking course, and learn sewing. I was never encouraged at home, and whilst I'm really happy I'm from the generation who were not made to do it instead of woodwork, I would really appreciate knowing how to sew and fit garments properly. I am already a dabbler, but I feel I want to take it to the next leve. Tonight my plan is to begin prep for taking in a brand new jacket at the shoulders.... (I have back up in the form of a clever friend if needs be)

Food today has been good.

First thing I had a slice of Edam and smoked ham rolled up with mayo, then lunch was two scrambled eggs with double cream, mushrooms in butter and two bacon. Dinner was my homemade chicken, chilli and mushroom soup (also with cream) oh, another ham cheese roll while cooking the soup, and then a tiny portion of bolognese sauce as a mains which was in fact more like a starter, but the soup was the mains really, and the roll could be described as an aperitif....

Liquids today. Three cups of tea, a small coffee with elmlea (boak) and I did a new thing with water. First litre was rooibos, black and with fresh lemon squeezed in and fresh mint chuked in. Second litre did hot water with the lemon and the mint. Really nice and refreshing and warming.

Moved a piano today (hurray to reclaiming hall space) and now I have that weird feeling in the back of my nose which is a cold starting I think. Pissflaps.

Mrsstevejones · 06/03/2015 19:31

I havent been very good food and water wise. Too many nibbles of cheese, peanut butter off of a spoon straight from the jar and coffee and cream.

I have only had about 2l of water so i need to drink more.

Had a nice dinner, courgetti with hm tom and pepper sauce and cheese with leftover roast pork.

Amaxapax · 06/03/2015 20:16

So lovely to be amongst such tall company! I am 5'9", but I think I'm quite evenly proportioned, so I don't usually need to shop in the tall sections. I also appreciate the bathing suit recommendations. I've got two on the way from Asos and I'm very hopeful that at least one will work.

I've done the 30 Day Shred today and I've had a dinner of Italian chicken on buttery courgetti. I'm just about to have my first ever rooibos tea, which I'm trying because I've read that green tea inhibits the body's ability to absorb folic acid, which rather undermines the folic acid I've been taking every day in preparation for trying to conceive again.

Notso · 06/03/2015 20:43

Fab pictures.
Beyond love your tattoo, particularly the heart part.

BIWI I can't see your blog. It is asking me to sign into Wordpress.

I am Envy of all the tall people and all the bikini wearers.
I've found the confidence to wear a bikini on one holiday in all my 34 years. I was about 23 I think, MIL saw my holiday photo and made some comment about stretch marks and it went straight in the bin.

I have had major sweet cravings for the past two days. I very nearly just scoffed a tub of Ben and Jerry's but so far willpower is winning and I'm supping a rhubarb tea.

Pisseslikeahorse · 06/03/2015 20:45

Thanks Trashy, yep drinking enough and more, And I did a marmite butter sandwich today Smile
I think its the effect of the training I'm burning another 3000+ cal a week and I think my metabolism is turning up a gear to cope.... and I just don't eat that sort of amount of food any more.

But yes butter under the chicken skin, celeriac under the bird to soak it all up after my big run on sunday, not forgetting a side of mayo with everything

Romeyroo · 06/03/2015 20:46

I thought green tea was good for TTC, though, I remember it being recommended, but this was a while ago.

My pity party is over, I am channelling my inner warrior woman sort of We have a new m&s near us, so we had a money off voucher and dinner was yummy salad with ham and olives and Mayo which was nice and simple. I am having a detox tea and an early night.

LexLoofah · 06/03/2015 20:48

notso with you on the tall folks (although I know it comes with its own issues particularly when it comes to trousers), being a shortie I cannot afford to carry any extra weight at all, apparently I am supposed to weigh between 99 and 126 lbs. Fat chance! rhubarb tea sounds lovely and well done on resisting the B&J - put it in the bin/down the sink if you think you might crack

Gcalgske · 06/03/2015 21:40

Had a delish faux pizza express house salad dressing tonight.
1 tbsp Mayo
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp red wine vinegar
Shake of dried oregano & basil
Pepper and salt
Lovely on a big bowl of leaves!

Gcalgske · 06/03/2015 21:44

amaxapax I find roobios really sweet when I'm keto adapted,
it's good for inflammation too.

Amaxapax · 06/03/2015 22:17

I'm really surprised at how much I like the rooibos. I got the vanilla one, assuming I wouldn't like the flavour of the regular kind, but I can actually imagine enjoying it without the vanilla. I'm probably going to have to finish this box before I buy any more, though, as my tea habit seems to be getting slightly out of control, and we're running out of room in the cupboards.

LexLoofah · 06/03/2015 23:41

sass hot climate is not all it is cracked up to be, yes it is easier not to worry about having a jacket and layers etc but does limit activities, too hot to go out at certain parts of the day we drive everywhere as hot and no pavements, I really miss walking, there is no incidental exercise here sadly. Plus it is quite boring in terms of activities it is either pool or beach, not much else, fine for 2 weeks holiday but not all year round and don't get me started of the lack of shopping...It has been good to us though so not knocking it too much, time to head back to UK Though, should be arriving by end of the summer, another reason to shed weight as will need a new wardrobe anyway.

beyond I just made some mayo, I think you were asking yesterday, have made it 3 times now and no splitting. I see there is a vid on MN about how to do it but I prefer this one as uses whole egg

1 egg
2 tbsp distilled vinegar
Half tsp salt
Half tsp mustard
Pinch paprika - optional
Three quarters cup of oil, I have been doing a mix of olive and macadamia or coconut

Blitz ingredients except oil for 30 secs then pour in oil. I read somewhere about using room temp eggs but I use mine straight from the fridge. Also easy to turn into Caesar dressing by adding, anchovy paste, lemon juice, garlic and worcerteeshire sauce.

I have had wicked indigestion since yesterday which is not like me, hope it is not linked to LC. Have already been sipping ginger tea for sore throat so added mint into the mix and just about to try a fennel tea which smells lovely, so another funny tea addict here amax I like roibos chai if you can get it

BIWI · 07/03/2015 08:09

Notso - I don't know enough about blogs to know how you just read someone's blog without signing in! But google 'dailylowcarbliving' and see where that gets you.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 07/03/2015 08:10

I think i've solved my mayo problem. I read online that some people find that the immersion blender is too fast and overblemds the mayo so it splits. Using my hand whisk on the slowest setting, it worked fine.

I have a bit of a tea habit too, and now i'm tempted to get some redbush too Grin

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 07/03/2015 08:11

I have green tea with mint, liquorice and chai on the go at the moment. I'm keeping them in the biscuit tin (might as well get some use out of it!)

Pisseslikeahorse · 07/03/2015 08:20

morning all just recalculated my Celeriac Dauphinoise its 900cal a portion ...Whoops Grin I had two last night.

Now I'm going for a run

Notso · 07/03/2015 08:25

Thanks Lex the Ben and Jerry's is still intact! I got engrossed lying on the sofa watching TV, then went to bed. I'm 5"3 and a bit, I know what you mean about the small margin of error. That said I went down to the lower weight for my height after DD was born through HG and breastfeeding. I bloody awful, really unhealthy. I'm not sure what my happy weight is yet.
Do you get used to heat if you live there? I've never liked hot weather, I neither tan or burn really just look red and sweaty then my paleness shines through Hmm the only reason I agree to go to hotter places on holiday is the lure of swimming and the lovely evenings.

Amax I have more teas than cupboard space Grin I used to loathe them but I've grown accustomed now. I don't like the liquorice one though.

Gcal that sounds good. I love Pizza Express.

The two little DC were up at 5:30 this morning. It feels like bedtime already! Steak for dinner today, don't know what with or what else I'm going to eat though.

Notso · 07/03/2015 08:27

Thanks BIWI I'll find away, I need no pizza-pizza in my life!

Romeyroo · 07/03/2015 08:37

Checking in quickly - I may try the Mayo soon, I am loving being able to eat it without feeling guilty.

I have now weighed twice over three days and seem to be 4lb downShockGrin. Fingers crossed it is not an aberration and still off for weigh in on Monday!! I would be so pleased, honestly I would

Fatstacks · 07/03/2015 09:04

I can't get on to the blog either Biwi can you tell me a tag you've used to search? Dailylowcarbliving has no hits on Wordpress and just low carb has thousands.
Maybe and iPad thing, I logged into Wordpress but still no joy. Anyone who can access it care to cross post? X

BitchyDoesWitchyThings · 07/03/2015 11:16

I have just updated the spreadsheet of wonderfullness. I have had no change in weight for 5 weeks I know why, it is no a diet issue or a stall but a balancing out of mind and circumstances. I need to sort my brain out and figure out my trigger. I suspect it is a lack of mental adjustment to the fibro and cfs and its impact (it was the burn that as the final straw and saw a really bad downwards spiral) Not sure how to deal with that one though Confused

Gcalgske have you found the roobios reduce pain associated with inflammation?

There are some very inspirational pictures on here. Well done for losses, and for being brave enough to post the pictures. I just want a pair of trousers that fit when I stand up and when I sit down. My current pair slide a bit when I stand and try to cut me in half when I sit down Confused is it just the cut or do I have an odd shaped body/posture? Hmm

ChesterDrawers · 07/03/2015 11:21

With the blog, I can't open it from the link BIWI posted but can from the email I get, if that makes sense.

Loving George, Stacks Grin

Today's plan:
B: boiled eggs, butter, Boursin - bloody lush
L: not sure, maybe nothing???
D: going to try the chicken Kiev with flax and Parmesan crust, Boursin stuffed mushrooms, asparagus in butter

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 07/03/2015 12:37

Does this help gcal...

dailylowcarblife.wordpress.com/2015/03/06/another-office-lunch-the-no-pizza-pizza/

? :)

Mrsstevejones · 07/03/2015 13:05

Well done everyone on the nearly there pics, i am still not brave enough yet. I think there is about 10lbs and 2 inches between clothes sizes so 4lbs is nearly half way there. I bought some size 16 sainsburys jeans and they fitted no muffin top so def dropped a dress size and a half this bootcamp and 1 st down. I tried the straight leg as suggested but i think they made me look fat and dumpy - i think i am so used to skinnies anything baggier looks odd now! - even if they do give me parsnip legs.

We have a manic day of housework and organisation to do today, its DS birthday tom and whole family coming over and we have decided to put house on market, hubby liked the house i saw as much as i did - just need to pull my finger out now. Yay. Sun is shining and its a lush day here.

Hope everyone is having a good day
