Morning campers!

You know the drill! Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation

So week 3 is fairly typically a bit of a bastard. And I'm afraid to have to tell you all that week 4 is sometimes its best friend.

Don't panic if the scales aren't moving, or even if you're seeing a slight increase. This is totally totally normal for this period of time

Keep focused, make sure you're following the rules - particularly eating the fat and drinking the water - and things should get going again shortly.

If you're struggling, post here rather than dive into the biscuit tin!

Good luck everyone

ijust do you mind me asking, are you past the first flush of youth like me, or is it because you don't have much to lose? It sounds crazy, with the ratios as well it would basically be lard and vitamin pills!

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 10/02/2015 21:30

Hi there, has anyone tried making Carb-free tortillas or “cauli-wraps”?

There's a recipe or two “Called Banting recipes” on this site but wonder if anyone had any luck making these sort of things. Cauliflower is always a soggy mess for me.

CharlieSierra · 10/02/2015 21:32

I've got to go to a conference tomorrow, not sure what to sneak in my bag to get me through if it's sandwiches for lunch - maybe an avocado and a couple of chicken thighs?

Supermum0203 · 10/02/2015 21:37

Evening everybody
Had a mad day today, running between doc app for ds, work, dental app for both children, football, shopping....
Anyway STUNT (thanks for your comment) as I said yesterday in my post, this week I'm going to skip breakfast to see how it goes. So food yesterday was:
B- 2 lc sausages with lots of homemade Mayo
D- 2 pork steaks with cauli and Mayo.
S- 2 coffees with soya milk ( which is very very lc

W- 2.5-3lts
Today food was:
B- 2 scrambled eggs with spinach cooked in lots of butter
D- 2 pork shoulder steaks with 2 leeks cooked with oil and butter and soya cream
S- 2 coffees with soya milk.
W-2l
I haven't drank enough water today as I have been out of work most of the time between doctors and so on.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 10/02/2015 21:38

trashcanjunkie do what to a swede, Slap it in to the mic nuke it for 4-6 minutes depending on size of swede and power of mic -turn it upside down Nuke it for 3 -5 minutes till all squidgy. Lop the top off scoop out with a spoon. Toss the skin.

Taste before adding butter or Salt.

lurkingmurking · 10/02/2015 21:40

Charlie maybe a couple of boiled eggs and babybel too? A big water bottle too and a seat by the loo!

I am partial to a bit of cream after dinner (I know I know BIWI!) and tonight I whipped it first - it was yummy and I ate much much less than normal!

Lex I also made a variation of your lamb and feta meatballs and they were lovely with HM tzatiki and roasted broccoli

MassaAttack · 10/02/2015 21:41

Charlie can you box up some cheese, olives and a few nuts?

CharlieSierra · 10/02/2015 21:56

I'm trying to stay off the cheese but it is an emergency situation, sandwich avoidance, and I will add a handful of macadamias - good ideas, thanks.

Pleaseandthankyou · 10/02/2015 22:09

Trash, 6 ft and size 8. You must have disappeared when you stood sideways

MoJangled · 10/02/2015 22:17

Well done on the trouser triumph Bitchy .

MrsK I can’t stand coconut oil neat or in coffee – it really queases me out – but is the ultimate thing for doing cauli rice in – tossed about in a wok.
Charlie I posted the link Blush but admit I’ve never entered my details and got the calorie level out – or have any intention of counting calories anyway. I just found the explanation useful for going through some of the pitfalls.

Eva good idea. My motivation for losing weight:
To like and respect myself
To be a fit, healthy and youthful mum to DS
To escape from the wardrobe full of clothes yet nothing to wear loop
Because I’m so, so, so bored of being disappointed in myself – enough!

ijustwanttobeme · 10/02/2015 22:32

charlie am two years short of 50, so definitely not in the first flush ....

Plus, although I don't have as much as some to lose, I am in the overweight category according to various sites.

BitchyDoesWitchyThings · 11/02/2015 00:18

I actually found that link really useful Mo the numbers were realistic for me, if anything high for conventional thinking so that was interesting. But it was the fact that as you scrolled further down in the details of that section there were useful little reminders such as there being a maximum amount of cals you can release from fat stores and the importance of not under eating. Will be returning to read more and re read bits. Flowers

I think the Tories are going low carb! here's what they served at a fundraising gala last night: smoked salmon starter then lamb & celeriac followed by rhubarb pana cotta and a few weeks ago I saw a headline that Dave is giving up bread because it makes him fat. Maybe he is secretly doing bootcamp .....

Fatstacks · 11/02/2015 06:25

Morning Campers :)
Up far too early so I'm going to try porridge for breakfast.
L. Whatever needs using up.
D. Will be roast chicken something.

Have a good un :)

ChesterDrawers · 11/02/2015 06:59

Coooeeeee Dave Grin

My plan for the day:

B: might just have a BPC
L: is a chicken omelette weird? I have some to use up and am sick to death of salads
D: pork in tomatoes (1/3 tin toms), courgetti

I am getting in a bit of a rut with food, especially breakfast and lunch. Trying to keep dairy low might be working for my weightloss, but it sure can be a bit boring at times.

MontserratCaballe · 11/02/2015 07:12

Chester - cheese and chicken together are a taste sensation. Yum yum. Am envious.

I suspect I will have brunch / early lunch as there won't be time for breakfast before I leave or when I get to work as I have an assessment at 9. It will be salad / meat / dressing for lunch but am out for supper so more salad and possibly a glass of red. I do love how easy it is to eat out without a big sign pointing at you saying "Fatty on a diet". As the food is lush, by having dressings etc it looks as if you are NOT on a diet, providing you leave the bread etc. Yum. Can't wait.

Have a good day y'all.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 11/02/2015 07:33

Woohoo, even after my lapse yesterday, i'm at a low today! :)

Lex that's brilliant!

Work event tonight where I may have one glass of vino but will see. I was under 12 stone this morning whoop! Also feeling decidedly slinky in my outfit! Going to have a v early dinner of beef stew to fill me up to avoid nibbles at the event.

B: 2 scrambled eggs, coffee w cream
L: salami and salad
D: beef stew

Do we finish bootcamp before Easter? Not that I'm planning an egg or anything!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 11/02/2015 09:02

Just in case, biwi...

Mrsstevejones · 11/02/2015 09:18

So keeping on with the no dairy and increased fat, but my whoosh of energy has drizzled away. Its mad as i am sleeping more but have come out in 2 yes 2 coldsores and they frigging hurt and i look like i have a weird trout pout - just in time for valentines day! uurrgghh.

I am out and about this afternoon, soft play again with friends. I am secretly hoping for a "have you lost weight?" - shallow i know.

B- BPC
S- BPC
L - Green smoothie
D- Chicken thighs and roasted cauli and something green

imustbepatient · 11/02/2015 09:40

Morning all.

I've just had a very nice breakfast of bacon and eggs with a dollop of mayo.

Lunch is going to be left overs from last night's dinner (salmon fillet, mashed swede and fried aubergine)

For dinnner, my current plan is prawn and vegetable stir fry, done in coconut oil with chilli, soy sauce (a dash) ginger and garlic and with a spoon of peanut butter stirred in it, which makes it taste a bit like satay sauce.

I'll probably have a coffee with cream at some point during the day, along with copious amounts of herbal teas and water.

Diet, what diet....

MrsHerculePoirot · 11/02/2015 09:47

Hello! I am going to get better at posting to keep me in the straight and narrow - I have my diabetic review bloods this week and hey are going to be HORRIFIC. But not goin to put t off any more and then next time thy will be super good! So far I've just had bacon for breakfast.

sassandfaff · 11/02/2015 09:52

Morning.

Back in the UK.

Got home to 2 letters from the county council telling me my twins are overweight!

It would appear they have picked up my 'dense' gene!

Boy twin has rickrack legs and girl twin is going to be 5 this year and still in 3/4 yr clothes.

It is quite laughable really.

I've not eaten yet, as ferry only landed at 6.30 this morning and then we had a drive to do.

Plan is bacon and eggs.

We call a swede a turnip too! (Nwest)

Birdinacage · 11/02/2015 09:53

Well the calculator thing wants me to eat masses Confused: 2042 calories to maintain, 1733 for slow loss, 1580 for medium and 1427 for fast loss, all nonsense because I usually come in around 1400-1500 and I wouldn't call my weigh-loss fast any more. I really don't think I could actually manage to eat 2042 calories on this woe without popping (or getting huge)!
