Week 3 - Low Carb Bootcamp - Where We Have a Decision to Make!

Morning all.

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So we've finished Bootcamp! Well done all Flowers or at least to all those who are still with us Grin

Now you have a decision to make. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, if you wish, which is more relaxed (to a degree). The rules are on the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet - sorry, I don't have time to copy/paste this morning as I have to get off to work about 10 minutes ago.

But essentially it means that you can introduce nuts and berries - in moderation. You no longer have to have three meals a day. If you're not hungry, then it's fine to skip a meal - as long as you don't then dive into a pile of carbs when you get hungry! And you can have alcohol - again, in moderation.

If you're happy with the stricter Bootcamp then by all means stay on that, but please, please, please make sure that your carbs are coming from vegetables and salad. It's important that you get nutrition from these.

Or you can, if you like, do Bootcamp at the week and Bootcamp Light at the weekend.

However

There is also something else you need to prepare for, and that is the dreaded weeks 3 and 4 slowdown!

It's something that lots of people experience. The weight loss suddenly stops, for no apparent reason. If this happens, don't worry and don't panic that you're doing anything wrong (assuming that you're not, of course Wink), just keep on keeping on, and it will get going again - albeit at a slower rate.

From here on, you should be expecting to see a loss of 1-2lbs a week.

Good luck everyone!

Water is key, Charlie - you really do have to make sure you're drinking it

biwi oh fuck, I've gone and done it now, haven't I ?

Yes to processed foods and no veg/salad today.

Was just one of those shit days and I've gone and spoilt he whole three weeks, by eating a fucking Krispy Kreme (well half a plain one)

Pulling myself up by the bootstraps and going back to Bot camp proper tomorrow. Going to bed now as soooo pissed off with myself. I lost 4lbs last week and now I'll probably be back where I started. Fuck fuck fuck ??

BlueberryHope · 08/02/2015 23:42

Oh ijustwanttobeme am sending you a big hug. No, you have not ruined everything, for some reason you had a carby nightmarish moment - but only half a mommy really - and tomorrow, you HAVE to be kind to yourself, starting with a delish LC breakfast, a nice coffee with cream mid-morning etc etc until you are back on the wagon before you know it. It is so hard, I know - I am struggling whenever I see the kids' Hallowe'n buckets (how the frick have they not finished their damn sweeties yet?!) but think of how good you feel eating 'clean' food. I don't know if that helps or not but please don't beat yourself up over this. What about waiting to weigh-in next week instead? Hope you feel brighter in the morning. Sleep well xxxx

Evening all

Quiet rest of the day here. Struggled a bit this afternoon as v tired after being woken up early, would normally have had a cup of tea and some Soreen but I had some water and went for a lie down instead, didn't really help, should have gone for a walk maybe.

L a sort of mezze platter of olives, a slice of chorizo, slice of salami, chicken leg avec skin, hb egg, ham, salad, mustard mayo dressing

D first go at pork belly, was OK and crackling was good. Much more fatty that we are used to, needed a glass of lemon water after to de-grease. DH found it harder as a bit like jack spratt when it comes to fat on meat so need to slowly build up to eating more of the fat. Did with mashed cauli and leeks and kale.

Here's to week 4 everyone

2.5lbs off! That's 9lbs in 3 weeks I am super chuffed

Morning early risers!
I went to bed ridiculously early last night because I was wiped out - hadn't had enough sleep the night before and got no chance for a kip during the day, so by 9pm I was ready for sleep.
Slept until about 3 but refused to get up because I was still very tired, so just did some messing around on the tablet until I went back to sleep (having switched it, and the wifi, off)
The last 2 nights though, I've been having lower half of the body "restless leg" - not just in my legs, but all through my back and pelvis etc. as well - FUCKING uncomfortable and annoying!! Anyone else had this? I don't know if it's related to this WOE or my usual crap back/pelvis :(

Anyway, yesterday:
B - Babybel cheese x2
L - big lunch for a change, half an avocado mashed with Boursin and lemon juice and used as dip for several celery sticks; some smoked salmon rolled around Boursin cheese, and a few mouthfuls of fresh-caught bream. Plus some Thai salad. Avoided the excellent chips, apart from getting salt on my fingers while I fed them to the toddler.
D - went out for dinner, possibly not the best plan! Had veal scallopini with roast carrot, cauliflower and courgette, in a probably-too-carby cream sauce. Gave away all the spuds; but then let myself down by having a vanilla bean pannacotta instead of the chocolate marshmallow pudding that DH taunted me with! Oh and a glass of dry fizz as well.

LOTS of water - and down a couple more lbs this morning so hurrah - probably due to end of AF? I was really thirsty after the one glass of fizz - it went to my head rather a lot! - but fine again today.

Good motivational post there MrsSteve and for everyone wavering - KOKO!

Today, not so good - school swimming carnival, didn't have time to eat before we left so just chucked a bag of babybels into my handbag so:
B - 2 babybels
L - really not hungry, had to force myself to eat - had a cold sausage, a lump of cheese and a handful of cherries.
D - will be turkey something or other, probably with swede mash.
