Yes, I've got a bit of an end-of-term feeling too. Scales nudged back up yesterday and this morning but I'm determined not to slide.

Is this the continuation thread then? Grin

Best, it happens. I did that after my first whole 30 and it's made me wary so hopefully it won't happen Again.

Good day here. Eggs with haloumi for breakfast, Thai fish curry with egg fried cauli rice for lunch (am obsessed with that rice) and I have a buttered chicken leg for supper. Olives with pesto for tea.

its a bit odd, not sure where to write at the moment in this weird Limbo we're in.

As bootcamp is over I'm going to admit to .... yes me .... falling off the wagon on sunday and scoffing a burger and milkshake after my run. And it was great! Grin there said it!
of course I'm now back on and intend to stay firmly this way for the foreseeable future. Well until its time to tweak booze, cheese and tomatoes back in.

question is what do I do to Halloumi?

BIWI · 16/07/2014 20:47

I love Halloumi! The best recipe I have for it involves cooking it on the barbecue, but it's not too bad griddled, if you want to cook it in the kitchen.

I serve it with a lemon and coriander dressing, which is gorgeous:

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
handful chopped fresh coriander

Just mix all the ingredients together and pour over the cooked cheese. This amount will be enough for two blocks of cheese.

I am still prepared to wave my big stick around if I read any more about cheating, mind you ...

Oh wow, that sounds amazing BIWI. Am having a barbecue next weekend so might have to do that. Haloumi is the food of the gods.

Pisseslikeahorse · 16/07/2014 21:43

So if we want to STS do we continue to follow BCL or is there a max carb unit level to keep below IYSWIM? I've been reading various books but haven't got to the maintaining advice yet.

HolgerDanske · 17/07/2014 16:16

I think the carb tolerance level varies from person to person, magso. The way dr Atkins said to do it, if I remember correctly, was to add carbs back into your diet in five gram increments per week until you reach the level at which you begin to put weight back on.

lowcarbforthewin · 17/07/2014 16:36

I think everyone does it differently. Lots of people stick to this 100% in the week! eat what they want at weekend, other people add in something like toast or porridge occasionally, other people fall off the wagon, eat more and more carbs and, er, pile the weight back on. Just beware of carb creep and binges.

Good day here. Greek yogurt for breakfast, fish curry for lunch, nuts for tea, hamburger for supper, plus lots of veg.

Hello, just popping my head round the door. No dairy for me at the minute- doctors suggested it as guts terrible. Been a week now, and guts better, massively, plus weight down two whole kilos.... Hmm pisses I'm shocked!!! Ha, seriously though, think a lil one at the end of ten weeks..... Well, I'm not saying it's ok or anything.... Grin I am hard coring like a mother fucker at the minute. Seriously motivated. Feel like as smuggy mc smug fuck cos you lot will be weeping at the start of the uber camp with no dairy, and I'm like, milk... milk who?....

Suzymoo09 · 18/07/2014 13:36

Pisses Halloumi can be grilled too - will try your dressing with it BIWI sounds nice for this hot weather.

Discovered baked feta too via Jamie Oliver magazine: spinkle with cumin seeds & 1 minced garlic clover and glugs of olive oil, bake (around 180) for about half an hour, it's scrumptious with green salad.

Suzymoo09 · 18/07/2014 13:38

Happy Friday, I'm echoing here... Wink
