BIWI, I had a look at the ubercamp menus and shopping list. What are the rules? The menus look pretty good. Can't wait (think I'm going to make dp do it to)

BestIsWest · 13/07/2014 19:55

21st is perfect for me too. It will give me time to finish off the yoghurt, cream and cheese in the fridge.

Thank you so much for organising this BIWI. Tomorrow is my DD's graduation and I will be wearing a new dress one size down from my usual. I will be having a couple of glasses of champagne to celebrate - my first alcohol apart from one G&T in week 2 of bootcamp. No doubt it will go straight to my head.

Then back on the straight and narrow on Tuesday.

Lots and lots of Thanks to you.

Suzymoo09 · 13/07/2014 22:04

Lowcarbforthewin Well done on having a good day, and wishing you many more.

BIWI thanks for the bootcamps they have been so helpful. I may try the next one or lurk sensitively if I cannot be strict.

Good luck all and bye for now.

BIWI · 13/07/2014 22:09

readyforno2 - the rules are just the same as Bootcamp, only no dairy is allowed (apart from butter).

The menus that I've written for ubercamp are also pretty prescriptive in that they involve weighing specific quantities of veg, so that you know the carb counts are low - which is obviously different from Bootcamp.

Ok. Thanks so much BIWI Thanks
You have changed my perspective so much, see you all on the 21st!

SayraT · 14/07/2014 08:04

Just popping on as you've fallen off my "threads I'm on".

I also am not doing very well at the moment, I am staying at a friends house while they are on holiday and I have misplaced my bank card so can't go to the shops. They have also left food for me so I am eating what they have left and some of it is not so LC Blush I am trying though and managing LC most of the time.

I will definitely need the ubercamp after this!

Will catch up properly later on.

HolgerDanske · 14/07/2014 08:31

I had a horribly carby day yesterday. Don't know what happened to trigger it, really.

But never mind, onward and upward.

readyforno2 · 14/07/2014 08:39

SayraT, do you ever go to the personal trainers in the Gytes? I've looked into it but wanted some first hand experience if you have any?

glenthebattleostrich · 14/07/2014 09:03

Well finished this boot camp 12lb lighter. Looking forward to ubercamp next week. Perfect timing as I'm visiting thein laws next week so much wine will be consumed to cope!!!

Huge thanks and Thanks BIWI.

lowcarbforthewin · 14/07/2014 10:28

Huge well done to everyone on their losses.

I actually weighed myself today and am a pound down froma. Few days ago, but that was after a cheat, so I'm still only 3lbs down. However it has given me a boost nonetheless. I feel much more on top of this all.

magso · 14/07/2014 11:10

Thank you BIWI and all the others who have helped. I have lost the 10lbs that I feared I might never loose. More importantly I know what to do to stop the creep.
Well done to everyone.

HolgerDanske · 14/07/2014 11:12

I finished at 145.064, so down about 7lbs if I remember correctly. Can't make the spreadsheet or tracker work for me just now.

I'm happy with this rate of loss. Ideally I would like to lose another 13 lbs or so, and then maintain.

Congratulations everyone, on better health and lifestyle choices and a much improved long term health status regardless of how it's manifested itself on the scales in the short term. I hope you're all pleased and happy today.

Thank you BIWI.

See you all soon!

BIWI · 14/07/2014 11:14

I'm going to set up a general chat thread, and then will start the next Bootcamp threads from 21/7 onwards.

Hoooray and hello and thank you to everyone.

I have lost 9.5 lbs, it's lots to me and I'm thrilled.

It would have been a tad more but have spent the last few days coping with horrible family news, hospitals and events outside my control so a pasty or two has been eaten and wine happened. My first and only slip up during BC.

Thank you biwi as ever and sayra for the spreadsheet of wonder.

I'm going camping at the end of the month... hopefully, although will have to see if I can still goSad but will try and join the dairy free BC - dairy free? is this possible? wanders off to find darkened room clutching all the cheese on the thread.

spamm · 14/07/2014 13:57

Hello all - well, what a 10 weeks this has been. Thank you all for your support and kind words, for your encouragement and being so wonderful!

Thank you BIWI and SayraT.

I am officially 198.8 - YAY! That is 16 lbs lost in total, and below 200 for the first time in over 5 years (I think closer to 9 years).

Congratulations everybody!

I will be joining the next camp and my intention will be to stay on Bootcamp-style eating for a while yet. I am going to look at Ubercamp to see what I need to prepare for, although I already have a business trip planned for next week (and this week). Uuurgghhhh!

lowcarbforthewin · 14/07/2014 16:13

Such great losses! Grin

BestIsWest · 14/07/2014 18:01

STS this week but a stone overall

BIWI · 14/07/2014 21:18

Brilliant losses/results here! Flowers

spamm - you've done really well on business trips before, so you have some good strategies that work for you already.

Roaring - sorry you've had bad news. Just don't let the comfort eating take over; those pesky carbs will get their grip back if you're not careful!

OP posts:
CQ · 14/07/2014 23:36

I'm down 18.5 pounds on this bootcamp, which is fantastic. And a nice rate of loss, averaging 1.8lbs a week.

I've had so many compliments, and comments about my 'iron willpower' which just made me laugh as I really haven't found the rules very hard to stick to at all.

Having said that, I have had a horribly carby weekend with 2 nights out and my PIL's 60th wedding anniversary party yesterday, which was a traditional afternoon tea at a naice hotel. It was lovely, but carbs everywhere I looked, and champagne. But I just decided to go with the flow - I enjoyed a couple of glasses, had one or two v small sandwiches and a scone. Way way less than I would have put away 10 weeks ago, so I have made some good habits which I am determined to stick to.

Thanks so much to BIWIand Sayra Thanks - it is a wonderful and selfless thing that you do for all us random strangers on the internet Grin

I will definitely join in on the general chat thread but not sure about the next short sharp BC as I'm due to go on holiday on 26th. Walking the West Highland Way which will be lovely but apart from the fab B&B breakfasts I suspect the food will be largely sandwiches for lunch and something-with-chips for supper. However, I will do my best - and at least I'll be yomping off the calories.

See y'all on the other side….

rubybricks · 14/07/2014 23:57

hi losers, sorry i haven't been around more, have just read the last page to try and catch up.

lowcarbforthewin, sorry your weight is distressing you. you are so much more than a number on the scales, you have been tremendously encouraging to so many of us and you have already done so well. this WOE really works, and it will work for you in time if you stick with it. i found i really had to consider my portion sizes, i was enjoying it so much... anyway, when you meet someone worthy of you, they won't give a hoot what your thighs look like Smile

i am now almost at the weight i was when i got married, which is a bit of a milestone. i can't thank BIWI and the rest of you enough, it's a source of continual amazement to me Flowers

lowcarbforthewin · 15/07/2014 14:35

Thank you Ruby, what a lovely post Thanks

I am going to keep plugging on and I am going to get there. I've been stricter the last couple of days and it's amazing how eating fewer carbs and more fat results in less hunger. I know as long as I can keep my hunger at bay, I can do this. And I ate a bit of dairy the last two days and my weight as dropped marginally overnight so I'm going to say that hopefully dairy isn't stalling me.

I think even if I haven't lost a huge amount this last ten weeks, I have learnt lots about myself and my body, and that's all worth something.

BestIsWest · 15/07/2014 14:45

I completely fell off the wagon yesterday. I haven't cheated once during the ten weeks of bootcamp so I can't understand what happened. It started with a few glasses of bubbly and because the only food available was sandwiches, it just went from bad to worse ending up with me eating half a slab of milk fruit and nut. I had cake and ice cream and chips too. I just hope I can get back on the straight and narrow but I can't figure out where the in for a penny attitude came from. It scared me a bit.

I hope we can keep this thread going as it is a lifeline for me.

So scrambled gags for breakfast and cheese and celery for lunch.

BIWI · 16/07/2014 13:58

We'll definitely keep the thread going, Best!

I've fallen off the wagon a bit since Monday morning too best, but its settled down again now. Maybe it will take a few days to find a new normal IYKWIM!
