Wow! So much nattering that we've filled up the thread before the end of the week!

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for tomorrow morning.

And, for the Weight Tracker I'm not quite sure what happens with this link I think that you will be asked to enter your weight for this week and then you will see your individual graph.

I hope you all had a good week last week, and very good luck for week 2.

Im afraid I'm having a glass of wine. I had a panic attack work today, the first one I've had for a couple of years so I'm calling it medicinal :(

8lb down since last Monday so hopefully it won't do to much damage.

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 20/01/2014 20:02

hi all, Im so sorry but I am going to have to bow out of bootcamp for now. I have concussion, and it sucks. Ive lost 3lbs so far and will keep on going, but Im not up for the bootcamp at moment.

JakeBullet · 20/01/2014 20:04

Anyone watching Dispatches? All about our addiction to sugar!

I am 8lbs down.......weighing again tomorrow and really watching it all. And DS is doing the same without knowing it! And no complaints so far....

AthelstaneTheUnready · 20/01/2014 20:12

Aw, Jax, you poor thing. Not surprised. Will there be a lot of sofa in your near future?

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 20/01/2014 20:16

yes, lots of sofa for me, no driving, practically housebound. On the plus side a new back door will be fitted soon. Lets hope this one is skull proof.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 20/01/2014 20:19

Blimey, I missed the bit where you put your head right through the door! Shock no wonder you need something softer. A padded cell with sofa sounds very soothing and

Methe · 20/01/2014 20:27

Jax I hope you feel better soon :)

Panic attack caused by stress at work, that's all. Bastarding things they are.

prettybird · 20/01/2014 20:29

My Pilates instructor was telling me how a) she never went off fat and still used FF milk and yoghurt and b) that her dh now follows a low carb/high fat diet (strictly, so no fruit whatsoever) and his diabetes is now fully controlled SmileSmile and he has lost 3 stone (not sure over what period). Another vote of confidence! Grin

We got talking about diet as she was drinking some rooibos and I commented that it was the only "tea" that I could drink without milk even if I prefer it with milk

Piscivorus · 20/01/2014 20:30

Sal Maybe you and I have a bootcamp bug! I too am feeling sick but I feel a bit achey and fluey too, just hoping it is a carb flu rather than a real one

Food today:
1 sausage, 2 rashers bacon, 2 eggs scrambled with cream
1/2 avocado, salmon, scallops and prawns in mayo
Pork chop topped with welsh rarebit mix, mashed celeriac with butter and cream, broccoli and cauliflower

Not enough water really as have been out but not too bad.

Piscivorus · 20/01/2014 20:33

BTW CalamityKate Can I just second what BIWI has said about follow one set of rules or another.

When I first started this over a year ago there was a lot of publicity about the Idiot Proof Diet which is also low carb, so similar but different, and I got totally confused between the two. You will find it easier to pick one and stick to it, otherwise you end up with the worst of all worlds

BIWI · 20/01/2014 20:33

Oh no, Jax Sad

I hope you're fully recovered soon Flowers

CalamityKate · 20/01/2014 21:00

Oh ok! I thought low carb was, well, low carb and that Dr B sort of invented it!

I only got the nuts the other day. I haven't been chomping them for the 2 weeks previous :)

Reading the BC rules I've pretty much been following them really.

Thank you all. I will keep on keeping on!

tenementfunster · 20/01/2014 21:02

Lost 3 and quarter pounds
Quite happy with that. Xmas troughing is a dim and distant memory!

ToomuchIsBackOnBootcamp · 20/01/2014 21:04

betty thank you so much for the one pound of fat piccy! Awesomingly revolting!

lucy I have always found it much easier to LC in an Indian restaurant rather than a Chinese. I have something like a tandoori mixed grill (these are usually dry, not covered in a possibly sugary sauce) and some lovely side dishes that involve spinach or fried cheese or mushrooms. I think you can get okra too sometimes though I've never tried it or checked the carb count. Much easier than Chinese where things do tend to be coated in sugar.

5lbs down which is great, esp since I only started properly on Wednesday. I am another long term LCer who turned into a carby twat over Xmas/NY so am very pleased with seeing a good chunk of my gain gone.

BIWI · 20/01/2014 21:10

Methe sorry you're having a bad time - sounds like wine is definitely required Grin

OP posts:
ToomuchIsBackOnBootcamp · 20/01/2014 21:10

Yday food:
B 2 eggs, 2 bacon, mushrooms, all fried in butter
L egg mayo wrapped in little gem lettuce, one slice pork belly
D roast chicken with roasted veg and a little "gravy" made from the juices

Today food:
B 2 eggs, scrambled with butter and double cream
L smoked salmon salad
S leftover cold roast chicken leg
D chicken wrapped in cheese and ham, Brussel sprouts

I have a one black coffee every morning then a couple of decaffs with cream later in the day. Managing the water.

Remember as someone said on week one
"no drinkey water, no losey weighty!"

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/01/2014 21:21

And The trend is your friend

Like that saying too Grin

Methe · 20/01/2014 21:22

Thank you BIWI :) it went down a treat! I'm back on the straight and narrow now with a glass of water.

BIWI · 20/01/2014 21:26

Today:

B - 2 boiled eggs
L - Pret A Manger crayfish and avocado salad
s - yoghurt
D - IPD Moussaka with salad

About 3 litres of water so far, and still going ...

Aw Calamity and those who've not lost this week, don't worry, the Whoosh Fairy is probably winging her way to you as I type!

Thanks for Jax and Methe - hope you're both feeling a bit better this evening.

Thanks to Crabby for the link to your blog, it looks really interesting and I'm looking forward to reading it. Don't think I could stomach cheeks though lily-livered. Are they bottom cheeks?! Or the other ones? Either way, I'm out as they say on Dragons Den. Grin

Love the pound of fat pic Betty - I lost 8 of them this week but there's plenty more where that came from!

We'll done EVERYONE, whether you've lost, gained or stayed the same - we're all in this together!

NellVarnish · 20/01/2014 21:28

*Pistey, I pm'd you for a catch up - didn't want to hijack the thread.

HumphreyCobbler · 20/01/2014 21:34

Hello

Post period I am feeling back to my normal self and straight back into bootcamp without any pain. Today I ate

yoghurt and black coffee
scrambled eggs with butter and ham, salad with dressing
homemade beefburger, cabbage fried in butter with chorizo and roasted celeriac.

and vast amounts of water.

Lavenderhoney · 20/01/2014 21:38

I haven't updated the spreadsheet yet but I will tomorrow. Laptop issues.

However I have lost 8 pounds so am nearly back down to my pre dh weight! 132 pounds today!

Anyone feeling disheartened I was nearly 11 stone last jan, lc diligently following the bootcamp, but didn't start running til sept when all dc finally at school. I was lc mostly ( holidays and high days not) but just got back on the wagon.

Water is the key, and remembering that you will have roast potatoes again or whatever, just not now:) don't cook so many:)

Well done losers:))

Ruprekt · 20/01/2014 21:42

Dh made a lovely meal tonight.

Cauli rice fried in butter with cream and goats cheese
Veal meatballs (£1 from WaitroseWink)

Really filling and enough for lunch tomorrow! Smile

B...yoghurt
L...frankfurter with leeks and mushrooms and cauli cheese
S...parmesan shortbread with butter
D....meatball Delishusness

CalamityKate · 20/01/2014 21:46

How the hell do you all drink so much?!?!?!?!

I'm living on the loo as it is!

Made the mistake of having black coffee this morning and quite literally weed - proper full wees mind you! - every ten minutes for an hour!
