Hello All

Im peter, 27 years old from london, I have two children, My son is 5 and my daughter is 4, I use to be a single parent untill my children went back to there mums but i still have plenty of contact with my children, Im here on mumsnet because i would really like to chat to other parents, None of my mates have children so when ever i tell them what ive been upto with them there not really interested, I sometimes feel abit isolated so it would be great to chat to some other parents, My aunt said that i should try a parenting website but she also said that she doubts very much that anyone would want to chat to me because im a guy,
Im just looking for someone that i can chat to about stuff in general and being a parent, I hope nobody minds me being here and if anyone would like to chat then please feel free to send me a message.

Just coming late to say - stick around! There are a good few of us here. Not just in the Men's Room (hasn't that been renamed yet to something less pissy?)...

Don't call anybody "hun".

Don't go near any threads with the word "mooncup" or "fanjo" in them.

If anyone starts on about Fruit Shoots, grammar schools (guilty here!!), Parent & Toddler parking spaces or racism, the correct response is: Hard Hat. Popcorn. Settle back .

Innovation · 01/10/2007 13:57

i did find the mensroom ok and to be honest it was abit quite in there so i came here instead,

unquitedad thanks for the advice.

lou it was tongue in cheek so dont jump on me thanks

HappyDaddy · 01/10/2007 13:59

Hi Peter, Welcome to the site. I've been a member here for a couple of years and have found it friendly and really helpful.

Hope you enjoy it.

The Men's room is a bit of a disappointment, but it was setup by women so...

Tinkerbel5 · 01/10/2007 14:00

I dont even go near the moon cup threads, my friend thinks im making it up and they dont exist

JeremyVile · 01/10/2007 14:00

Tongue-in-cheek or not, you were still making an insinuation.

SpookyDooooo · 01/10/2007 14:02

Hello Innovation & welcome

Sorry about some of the people on here, they think they own the place.

Innovation · 01/10/2007 14:02

happydad, if the room was set up by women then that explains why its a dissapointment, only kidding

Innovation, before you post on any other threads go out and buy a really heavy, thick overcoat. Then wear it everytime you log in. That way, the many insults hurled and fights that you may inadvertantly start will bounce off.

Or does that just happen to me...?

Tinkerbel5 · 01/10/2007 14:07

JV yes so what ?

oh my first fight on MN, pushes sleeves up and dances around in a a boxers jig stick em up

Skribble · 01/10/2007 14:07

LOL like any place over run with females its very bitchy, thats why I prefer working with guys, a lot less hassle .
