Hello All

Im peter, 27 years old from london, I have two children, My son is 5 and my daughter is 4, I use to be a single parent untill my children went back to there mums but i still have plenty of contact with my children, Im here on mumsnet because i would really like to chat to other parents, None of my mates have children so when ever i tell them what ive been upto with them there not really interested, I sometimes feel abit isolated so it would be great to chat to some other parents, My aunt said that i should try a parenting website but she also said that she doubts very much that anyone would want to chat to me because im a guy,
Im just looking for someone that i can chat to about stuff in general and being a parent, I hope nobody minds me being here and if anyone would like to chat then please feel free to send me a message.

But... it can be a very helpful supportive place and it can get results quicker than google when looking for info.

I will leave you to feed the troll, looks like its a hungry one

JeremyVile · 01/10/2007 14:08

DoctorFrankenSquonk · 01/10/2007 14:10

Hi Innovation/Peter

Welcome to mumsnet.

If you're looking for a bit of mindless chat, check out the tea shop or the bar, if you like word games there's generally one going on - at the moment we've got song title, book and film title games on the go as well.

You are very welcome

StaceySlater · 01/10/2007 14:10

Have I missed something?? Who's the troll??

lou33 · 01/10/2007 14:13

JeremyVile · 01/10/2007 14:14

And these 'hi, i'm new' threads are all very nice but - you've had your welcome now so get off your butt and go post on a thread thats not all about you - look on active conersations and just post on whatever takes your fancy.

Pinkchampagne · 01/10/2007 14:14

Welcome to MN, Peter.

Innovation · 01/10/2007 14:15

i think it will be safer for me just to look at what everyone is saying and stay out of the conversations, this website is like a minefield of dos and donts

Do you know what, I am great. Only took two months to get over 15 years of marriage. I am having the time of my life. Helps getting chatted up Facebook though by a good looking bloke too . Not bad yourself but a bit too young for me.

Innovation · 01/10/2007 14:30

facebook and what, ?

JeremyVile · 01/10/2007 14:31

I already told him that Cod - he said no.

It's true - the longer you stay on your own thread the more suspicious people will be of you - maybe unfair, but there have been others you know - theres a pattern, you can only break it by going on other threads -go on. GO.

lou33 · 01/10/2007 14:32

yes time to dip toes into new threads

almostmidnight · 01/10/2007 14:33

Sorry, typing too quick for myself. Facebook is one of those chat websites where you have your own page. Bit like Bebo.
