Essbee - you have been fabulous company all night. I was feeling a bit low tonight but have really cheered up. Thanks.

marthamoo · 11/09/2004 23:13

You WILL get out of there - we will drag you out by your bootstraps. What are bootstraps?

marthamoo · 11/09/2004 23:14

egg sarnie. no wonder you're feeling a bit woozy! and you're skinnier than me, so watch what you say about not being skinny - you don't want to shattter my illusions about being supermodel material, do you?

essbee, back in my single days I used to do little "adventures". One time I decided to climb Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, U.S. in January. It is a mountain with such unusual winds and temperatures that there is a weather station at the top. Anyway, unbenownst to me at the time, I suffer from exercise-induced asthma. About an hour into the 7 hour climb (at well below freezing temps) my breathing became very difficult. To make a long story short, I did make it to the top, with help from my climbing mates. Towards the end, I just kept telling myself to take it one step at a time. This went on for several hours. It has been a fabulous life lesson for me and one that I try to keep in mind when things get me down.

Just keep taking those steps, essbee, don't be afraid to ask for help, and you will make it to the top! We're all here for you.

wobblyknicks · 12/09/2004 09:01

Fantastic!!! Glad to see you back essbee - hope you don't feel too bad today - let the kids play outside and get all mucky for an hour while you make yourself something proper to eat and try and relax. You'll fade away otherwise woman!!

fiorocious · 12/09/2004 17:41

Oh dear Essbee. You are a stronger woman than I for seeking help. As you know from before I really suffered too. You need to try and understand that it really is your depression that may make you act out of character and take everything so personally. You need to surround yourself with people who really do care, be alone for as little as possible as one day you really will wake up smiling then it will dawn on you your rough time has passed.

It sounds like you have lots of friends on here. Please accept any help they offer along with your friends off here. How many people really know how you feel? I had very little to actually be depressed about but I still have a need to talk and recover. Hang in there, please.

essbee, you are not "going on" - you are reaching out for help and support - WELL DONE - that's so bloody hard when you are feeling so bad.

hello essbee. maybe it's just the initial anxiety phase before the higher dose starts kicking in? or tiredness/not having enough to eat. hope you feel a bit better tomorrow. remember - its the gremlin/dementors (if you are a harry potter person) sending you the bad thoughts - just try and ride through them - you will get better, you just need to hold on tight

MummyToSteven · 12/09/2004 23:35

posting, or in general????
