For our lovely essbee to post whenever she feels down and wants to chat, and for anyone else who wants to be here for her....

Feel daft about starting my tongue in cheek thread 'does mumsnet make life's problems worse'. I had not read this thread when I posted it and feel a bit bad. You sound so much more positive Essbee and I am so glad that you are getting such good support from Mumsnet. Glad you enjoyed your night out. Wishing you well, mears.

I mentioned Renee Zellweger to Wobbly when I saw you at Beety's but she said you might not appreciate me saying as you've heard it so many times before .

So glad you're feeling more upbeat essbee.

Was amazed at your generosity on another thread, offering major support to someone else, when you have so much going on yourself.

You are clearly a very special person, with a very big heart.

DelGirl · 19/09/2004 22:43

Noooo Essbee, it was before I knew who you were.

marthamoo · 19/09/2004 22:51

Mumsnetters are just the nicest people in the world

Lovely to hear you more chirpy, essbee - hang on in there. Glad you had a good time with anorak...lots of cake?

marthamoo · 19/09/2004 22:52

You need to worry if people are comparing you to Bella Emberg - Helen Baxendale and RZ..all good!

anorak · 20/09/2004 08:48

Misses Baxendale and Zellweger can only hope they look a bit like essbee

I had a lovely weekend, especially the pina coladas I spilt all down the front of my dress! My dh has fallen in love with essbee's dd, I with her ds. My ds is slumped in front of cbeebies, I don't know how I'm going to get him going this morning.

I went to bed at 8.30 last night and was asleep by 9.30. Slept 10 hours. So sorry I faded on you last night essbee but I am an old lady now and cannot burn the candle at both ends .

See you Thursday then...

Glad you had a good time essbee!!! Defo agree on revamping ds' room - sure there'll be loads of tips from Anna-Ryder-Richardson-like MN'ers!!!

Anorak - you're right, she looks a LOT better than HB or RZ. And it's not that you're an old lady - essbee just has remarkable staying power - am used to drifting off and her outlasting me now (that's defo NOT down to the company, would have loved to stay up all night but motherhood takes its toll!!).

anorak · 20/09/2004 09:12

essbee I have some blue paint I think if you want it for ds's room?

Sand the floorboards down and then hoover up the dust. Then wash them thoroughly with a sugar soap solution and leave to dry. When they're good and dry you can paint them.

The blue paint I (think I) have is the same colour as the walls in my workshop and the office area. If you can remember. I'll have a look in my loft before I see you on Thurs and see what I can find for you.

hi essbee - good idea to do some decorating.

When you've finished could you come and do my hall stairs and landing please - it need wallpaper taking off first.

anorak · 20/09/2004 16:01

By the way, thanks for the compliments but my dh is not a hostess. He just has a very developed feminine side that's all
