number 2 was much easier here too. she was few hours. compare to dc1 who was a few days back to back. lol

betty - i am still going to be going to alton towers at some point. wish i could say when. but my diary seems to have beem filled up until i go away in june. various friends dog shows and hill walking expideitions

hawkins is where i am getting aeroplane book from. think i will just need to go a good gander in there too.

i quite like being technically single too. but i also like sex. Grin. definatly going to avoid that sofa though for next 15 years. wonder whats the likelihood of finding a casual thing that could last that long Grin.

you need those little all in one vest things, and a parasol for the pram (aaah)
Hope it will be easier this time round!
glad elasta's happy! and hate's diet is amazing. Must pop in and say hi

ninah · 02/05/2011 22:56

omg you are SOOO on the sofa msD! really pleased for you
(where did you find him again?!)

ninah · 02/05/2011 22:58

lol at cross post with fairy - we must be right lol!
as for a casual 15 yearer, why not 15 casual one yearers - or 7.5 bi annuals

NOmeansNO · 02/05/2011 23:00

i'd just put a nappy and under one of those sunshade thingies in garden if it is super toasty. otherwise, nappy and sleeveless babygrow.mind you dc2 was a high season baby. she never seen outdoors as it was too warm for her to sleep/feed. she just stayed indoors with all normal clothes on as house was cooler.

Grin at a long term fb, that would be a great idea!
Oh yes, you're definitely included in that offer too NMN, I broke flip last time we met up and the next morning her DS told her off for drinking too much! I always thought I was a lightweight, but now I think that my friends are all alkies!

I do like sex, I think it's been a long time since I met anyone who made me feel like wanting sex. I kind of get into mummy mode and forget that I'm a woman too!

NOmeansNO · 02/05/2011 23:06

ninah - i like your thinking! i get itchy feet at the 9 month mark.. how many will that be? dont want my numbers creeping too high?lol.

mrsz - sounding really good with you too. l word. woo hoo

FairyLightsForever · 02/05/2011 23:15

Yeah, I think that would wake me up too! Grin

adamschic · 03/05/2011 15:31

Yeah I started to feel like a fraud on FIA as I cannot be bothered to date as all the men I've met recently are a dead loss and I was getting very cynical especially re the internet dates. If by some miracle I meet a FIA man whilst going about my everyday business I will make a loud announcement.

Bit gutted today for DD, she was shortlisted for top job at school, prepared well for the grilling etc, thought it was too good to be true if she had got it, as her background isn't the usual criteria, it was a no and I might be being paranoid Sad .

Mzdemeanour · 03/05/2011 19:10

Nine months .... that is nothing! I managed best part of six years (though f*cked if I know how tbh ....)

Will say that despite my fears to the contrary everything working fine ....

flippinada · 03/05/2011 19:11

FLF!!!

I haven't been hiding I've kind of been .....dormant.

Big fat YES to Edinburgh meet and yes, I am a drinking lightweight :)

flippinada · 03/05/2011 19:17

:( for your DD adamschic....It's always gutting when you don't get something but I'm positive there will be other opportunities.

Got another text from mr pushy. Reply or not. I put myself in your wise hands ladies!

Betty79 · 03/05/2011 19:33

flip-who's mr pushy? the one getting a bit too friendly?

dtm-dd1 is an august baby, and the summer she was born was very hot. I remember the nurses in hospital swaddling her and i was thinking it was way to hot, when I got her home she lived in vest or short suits without a vest underneath!

hi all, you have been busy today not sure I can keep up lol

Am thinking of calling off sat, well telling him i cant get a babysitter....just cant be bothered!

And until tonight I was wondering how I was gonna pay for everything this month, but got a nice letter from halifax telling me they are sending me a goodwill payment :) Dont really understand it, something to do with wording around capped rates on my mortgage, and a bit miffed that exh gets half of it considering he hasnt paid the mortgage for 3 years but well its money I wasnt expecting. Maybe I can ask exh to pay for half the girls ballet costumes Ive just forked out for at £150 for 4 outfits each Shock

flippinada · 03/05/2011 19:41

Thats him Betty.

DS was a winter baby and lived in snowsuits :)

davidtennantsmistress · 03/05/2011 20:30

jesus betty that's day light robbery - ooooh worked out who you are on FB now - YAY! that's what I was thinking tbh, a vest or a onesie - have got a few of those, and MIL has knitted some cardi's.

mzd - yes boyfriend is a bit school girl isn't it lol. I like partner, DP likes other half, guess it's up to you tbh on what it is you like. glad to hear your happy thou.

nmn - if I know you i'll give you until I have the baby before you're in a relationship again. lol. still thought you & kiwi were nice together, what did happen there in the end did it just fizzle out? failing that beachbum was ok wasn't he - just steer clear of irish lol.

adam - are you sure she's not got the job - bit mean to discriminate due to her background.

How are we all today anyhow? been nice and sunny here, I managed to break DP's car - apparently you're meant to put radiator fluid in them - and driving it around 'dry' as the man put it isn't a good thing - ooops. it was bubbling away for a good 5 minutes with air in the system. - oops, still least DP is unaware of how close it came - on the plus though I can do it myself next time lol. aside form that not much happening here so off for my usual tuesday night treat of sitting in a luke warm bath reading a good old trashy mag - the joy.

flip - no don't reply or at least give it a day, not right keen on pushy men. plus there's plenty of others out there.

have any of you seen this dating in the dark programme - not sure if that's a good idea or not doing that - bit impersonal.

NOmeansNO · 03/05/2011 20:31

betty - wow thats alot of money on costumes. good news about the halifax thing though Smile

and dont chicken out your date. lol. just keep it casual. coffe in jeans, then you can dash if still not up for it, or go to see girlfriends since you have sitter.

adams - Sad about gaughter, but she will get something soon.

msD - do you mean you have a casual thing for 6 years? or 6 years without sex?

i wont be having any for a while. got a coil fitted today. anything with hormones gives me a constant period. but they had promised if i stick it out for 3 months and get a constant period they will refer me for a sterilisation. it will be worth it in the long run.

OP posts:
davidtennantsmistress · 03/05/2011 20:34

nmn - that's a pretty big step, but if you're sure.

god 6 years without sex - one might as well sew up the fanjo and be done with it. it would be asking for redundancy pay. :o

Betty79 · 03/05/2011 20:41

dtm-Grin

nmn-Did u get the mirena? Ive got that in, and not had any problems including no periods, but think thats how my body reacts to things like it as did the same with the injection. Not sure I could consider strilization at such a young age, mind you I would have lots more kids If I found a really rich man ha ha Grin

dont know if its chickening out or just plain not really to date yet Confused

NOmeansNO · 03/05/2011 20:41

mr pushy... do you feel he is nice enough to give a chance to?

mrst - whats this dating in dark thing? and lol at breaking dp car. and no to full on relationship. i wont just go with flow this time if someone wants me to. i shall be refusing. simply cant risk it with kids.

OP posts:
davidtennantsmistress · 03/05/2011 20:44

fair one, it's a programme on living or uk something or other I don't know sky, they basically go into a room I think & have a good old fondle/kiss/'talk' then decide if they like the other one before they actually see them. brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'blind dating'

maybe they should bring old cilla back - she was always good for matching people up? :o

davidtennantsmistress · 03/05/2011 20:45

ps' who says it has to be a date betty - as NMN says - jeans jumper and starbucks/costa job done, an hour later go out with the girls. :)

NOmeansNO · 03/05/2011 20:48

betty - yeah mirena. we'll see how it goes. she told me it was a different hormone to the injection.

maybe you just like the bookshelf too much Grin

OP posts:
flippinada · 03/05/2011 20:58

Oh, I have contraceptive injection (after asking for sterilisation, they wouldn't do it). I was sceptical buts its been good so far. No periods which suits me fine.

I have decided I will reply to pushy tomorrow and give him a chance. See what develops from there.

Whats dating in the dark??

flippinada · 03/05/2011 20:59

The bookshelf is definitely a good place to be Grin
